Hi, I was somewhat active on this message board through my 1st IVF attempt in June/July when we transfered 3 embabies..a 2BB and a morula, but after the devastating BFN, have been too busy w/ work and school to keep up.

We just started our 2nd IVF attempt in Aug and had the ER yesterday(09/30). There were 13 eggs retrieved, 10 mature, but only 5 fertilized per day 1 report. I'm a bit disappointed since the 1st IVF attempt(BFN) we retrieved 8 and 7 had fertilized on Day 1. But I guess DH keeps telling me we only need 1 good one to achieve our goal, so trying to keep my hopes up:)

Would any of you mind sharing what your stats were as far as ER and fertilized? Thanks!

I agree with smattison bubbles - it only takes one. It is so easy to become discouraged during the process so try not to let it get to you. I was devastated when we first tried IVF and I didn't respond to medication. I thought for sure that was the end of it for us. We're now in our second round (much higher doses) and I think the response has been decent.

I was on 10 days of stim, 450 IU daily of Gonal-F and 150 daily of Menopur along with 5 IU Lupron. My ER was yesterday and they got 9 eggs. I can only assume clinic only counts the mature eggs because I know I had close to 30 follicles. 6 fertilized - and I'm happy about this - 67% sounds good to me. We'll see how many make it to freeze/transfer!

Good luck to you! Your numbers sound good and as always....it's quality over quantity!

Thanks smattison. Well my time is set for 12:15 tomorrow. Will wait to hear the news on how my one and only and strong :D embryo made it through the thaw. Am so nervous. But trying to keep good thoughts and going for accupuncture tonight. My nurse said that they only freeze the really strong ones that they know will make it thru the thaw. Hope she is right. If you don't hear from me tomororw, that means it all went well :D Baby dust to all you ladies.

Keep your chin up Renee! Every body reacts differently to a pregnancy so don't count the BFN until it is official. The waiting really is the hardest part...

I have my fingers crossed for you and will say extra prayers for you on Monday.
