Renee - Thanks for the words of wisdom. I'm a scientist (read: nerd) so I used the published half-life of Noravel and calculated this way.

I calculate first POAS day as day 9, same as your method - but this day still has a chance of residual hcg positive depending on how your body metabolizes hcg and which HPT is used.

Well I did not POAS until day 10 (after trigger) and it was neg for 2 days before it turned positive!!! It took me 10 days last time so I thought day 10 was safe and I was right! This is a guessing game...LOL

Smattison: Congrats on your HPTs! That is awesome! I keep getting negatives  The first invitro I had a "low positive" on my first beta which was a 6 and then it went down after that and the doc said I miscarried. I don't have any symptoms this time...only a sweet-tooth, but that could be PMS. I want it to be positive but I have a feeling it didn't take this time.

Ditto for me as well. Good luck Reneee, Smattison, and Tortillachip. I agree that the 2ww is a killer. When should I POAS if i had my FET on 10/3? My beta is not till 10/16. Not sure i can hold off that long.

I tested positive 5 days after blast transfer but I think normal is around 7-9 days after. Good luck!

Babies Galore - I assume with FET that you don't have an hcg trigger shot so that means you shouldn't have any risk of false positives. I had my fresh ET on 10/3 (trigger was 9/28) as well and I am due for my beta on 10/15. I will probably start POAS friday or saturday to see if the hcg from the shot is out of my system yet.

Renee,

I am so sorry about today's BFN. What a huge disappointment! It is so, so, so, disheartening to go through all the anxiety and emotional ups and downs only to come to a result like this - and the costs don't help either! Be strong, your baby will come!

smattison and tortillachip - give us better news!
