Good luck to all those getting their Betas this week. Praying for all of us. Mine is scheduled for the same day as Sprouthaus (10/15). The next two days are going to be really painful. Smattison, get some rest.

Wow ladies, you all have been through quite a bit. I am getting caught up. I can't remember if I said or not but I have anesthesia brain right now...I came through my uterine surgery with flying colors. No noticable cancer, they said what they removed was possible placenta from my miscarried twins, no d&c. I hear back from pathology in a week. I also learned I have MTHFR clotting issues. MTHFR is a gene, I happen to think it should stand for something else...I have to take mega doses of vitamins, possible perscription vitamins, makes me nausious just thinking about it.

Anyway, I have post op Friday then I find out my schedule for my third IVF. Its actually my first time starting the injectible meds but the first two times had been canceled before beginning. I have been on birth control a long time hope to start sticking myself soon! Hope third time is a charm.

Anyway, for those of you that got BFNs I am so sorry. All I can say is that I have been thinking I would wake up without a uterus for the past 15 days, it made me feel that even if I end up with a BFN when the process is over that there still is hope for another cycle. Without a uterus there is really no hope at all. Surrogacy is like 100K. I know that doesn't take away from the pain you are feeling or the emptiness in your heart but my prayers go out to you.

I am hoping I can hop on to the October part of your thread. For those that don't know me, I have been through 7 ivf cycles, only to find out in August that I have hyperthyroidism. With 9 pills a day, and almost two months of treatment so far (although I will be on meds for the rest of my life), my dr gave me the go ahead to do IVF again. My thryoid is in normal range right now.

So as soon as Aunt flo arrives I will be on the 8th IVF journey!!! I hope it works this time!!! I've dropped 25 pounds and started taking care of myself so hopefully God see's that I really want a baby!!!!

Good Luck to everyone, my prayers are with all of you.

Donna

hi everyone!

I'm going to have to keep this short as I've spent the past two days with my sister welcoming my new nephew into the world!!!!

babyhope - congratulations on your surgery!

doddo - welcome to the group!

My beta is scheduled for tomorrow, but AF arrived today. That is a BFN for me. The birth of my nephew two days ago has helped me prepare for this result. I am just so happy he is here.

Don't know what is in store for DH and me as we have a 9 day vacay scheduled smack dab in the middle of what would likely be a stim cycle for us.....then christmas would be upon us....etc. etc. etc. have to talk to RE.

babies galore and bubbles - let's see some BFPs this week!!!

Sprout, I am so sorry  I'm glad you had some preparation and I know what you mean about being so excited for your nephew to be here. When we were going through a natural IVF cycle last year it ended up being cancelled due to premature ovulation. The day before I found out my SIL was pregnant. Instead of being upset, I was actually overjoyed. This was their first and she was 41...we knew they would make amazing parents. To this day I don't begrude her getting pregnant at all. I was just so happy to have another nephew.

Good luck in the future and enjoy your vacay...9 days sounds amazing.

Sporuthaus: I am so sorry to hear the news. I was really hoping that we all will get BFPs. Aren't u on PIO shots still? if so how did you get AF? i thought u are not suppose to while on the shots. I think the 9 days will do u some good. Just relax and get back in it when u come back. Good luck to u and i do believe it will happen. Hugs

Hi everyone - thank you all for your kind thoughts. I really am fine with a BFN! Nuts, right? I know if it is meant to happen, then it will - and at the right time. For now, I am enjoying being an auntie and a darn good one at that! :D

I am on progesterone cream/gel suppository whatever. Ghost says it is just as effective as PIO, but I've heard different opinions on this. I should clarify about AF. I've had cramps since I started progesterone, but I woke up today with what I consider definite AF cramps. So far, I've only had spotting - no "day 1 full flow" yet - so I suppose I could be wrong.....however, I really think this is the beginning of AF. As I told my husband - I just want AF to be here already because I'm sick of these constant cramps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P

You are correct though, a drop in estrogen and progesterone signals AF to come - and with the cream, my progesterone should still be high. But let's just say it - if my body responded to signals correctly, I probably wouldn't be here (IVF)!

Sprout, after one of my IUIs I was on the suppositories and AF came three days late. With this IVF, it actually came a day EARLY and I was on the same stuff! When I got a BFN on my my hpt (I woke up with cramps), I was just praying AF would come so I could know for sure and be done with it. 10 min later...I think sometimes it helps to put an end to the wondering earlier than we expected.

Glad to hear you are doing so well...I love it when there is just a peace about it all.

Hi everybody

Post by amfmbaby »

sprouthaus I am so sorry about bfn, but I am glad you have a new nephew to welcome in and enjoy. I can say you are better than me. when my sister got pregnant with my first nephew I was so jealous and in raged that I could not share in any of the joy. Here I was working full time, married, and bought my house at age 22. Tried to do everything by the book. Then the call (my mom) telling my sister who is not even outta high school, live in boyfriend in my parents home, no job or future aspirations that would amount to anything is pregnant. That's when the green monster set in. I didn't want to speak to her. After wanting a baby so bad the heartbreak of how someone like her was blessed with this miracle was more than I could take at the time. Then my bee (Brandon) arrives and I couldn't stay mad anymore my heart melted in my chest the moment I held him now years later I am his favorite he calls me every night and comes to stay with me every other weekend, now I'm thankful to have him. He is my inspiration every time I look at him it makes me want to go forward with treatments and keep trying. even though this is our first IVF if it does not work you bet I will keep going and keep trying and praying my heart out that GOD gives us a baby that I can love just as much as my bee. I know this is a big age difference between your SIL and mine (17) but the end result is still the same beautiful nieces and nephews to spoil. So hang in there I have hopes that your beta turns out better than your thinking. Have fun with nephew(s). I will keep you in my prayers. KEEP UP PMA......

Wow...boy can I understand... Last year 3 out of 4 of my SIL's were pregnant and I tell you it was hard. I had tried 2 rounds of IVF w/BFN in the middle of them. I had to even plan and host a baby shower for one of them. I was happy for them but at the same time I was jealous/envious.

I admire each and every one of you for your strength and courage...I know in my heart one way or another each of your dreams will come true...I am living proof...DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!
