Go loopie - woo-hoo!Image I am so excited for you, I hope all goes well and you will feel wonderful and so will your baby! I can't wait to hear the news!!!

MBRE
- good luck on your induction!
Gecko - it must be really hard to be alone for 4 days, yickes! How is the puppy doing with the baby?
Katie- how is the latch you are getting? I was having awful pain also until mid feeding and then I figured out that his latch wasn't as wide as it should be, even though it looked fine. Once I had him only have the nipple once he openend really wide and took most of the areola with it, then it has gotten much better. Also warm showers, warm before feeding and cold afer feeding, air the nipples out and Lansinoh. Mine are finally better.
Tina - thanks for the advice and reassurance!!
Jomae-I am glad katie is doing so good. I don't really miss being pregnant but the outcome is fantastic!!!
Suga- How are the girls doing? What's their weight now?
Mellie- how are ou feeling?

Bean is doing great but still takes his long nap in the afternoon and then fusses at night, he is mostly quiet but when I feed him at 2 am, he falls asleep, I put him down to sleep and he fusses all over again and has a fit because he wans the nipple in his mouth, as soon as I do it for my sanity sake (probably the wrong thing to do) he mellows and sleeps then I put him down and it is all over again, the rest of the night or day he eats and sleeps right away with no fuss, but 2 am is fuss central! Any suggestions?
What kind of pumps are you girls using? rented or purchased?

Board name suggestions: (please let me know favorites or more suggestions)

Hey there
Rio they do say that if bub fusses after coming of the breast to hold your finger under their chin to gently hold there mouth closed so they realized they arent feeding anymore before you try to put them down might be worth a try

katie i was always told to not wake them through the noght unless you've been advised for medical reasons eg low weight keeping that in mind i do the same as suga and make sure to give a late bottle before i go to bed to help them through a little as for your pumping i don't know to much about it but i do know you can't judge how much bub is getting per feed by the amount you can pump as bubs is much more efficient at draining the breast. i think your meant to pump 20 to 30 minutes or two minutes before the breast is drained which ever comes first. sorry i'm not much help this is why i had trouble goodluck though your doing well.

Mbre hows things going

Loopie you must be a mummy by now let us know as soon as you can

I just remembered! When I was pumping they told me to pump BOTH at the same time. Makes more come in because it has to compensate losing it in both at the same time? That is what every nurse told me though...pump em at the same time...do you have a double pump?

Katie - what kind of shield? mine are still sore but not as sore as before. I thought it was only supposed to be sore for a week! You think this should be more enjoyable and not painful! I feed bub for like 1 to 2 hours before going to bed, then he fusses until 2am. then I let him sleep and I don't wake him up, he usually wakes up at 5 or 6 and as long as it is not more than 5 hours without feeding, I don't worry too much. I need to get any sleep right now that I can, of course not at his expense. He still has one long nap that lasts 4 hours and that is in the afternoon, I am trying to push this to later.
Suga 8 lbs, that is awesome! way to go girls!!!
Jomae I will try closing his mouth, I tried having him suck on his hands but doesn't work. He nurses for so long he can't possibly be hungry when he fusses, always at 2am when we go to bed...
Loopie - can't wait!!!!!!!!!

Hooray Loopie! :D

I love the name. That is precious.

Have any of you ladies tried hydro-gel pads for sore nipples? They are saving me! I just wanted to throw that out there in case anyone hasn't heard of them. They are awesome -- healed me up in just a couple of days.

Rio: love the name! Go for it! Leaves it open to other mommies to join us as well!

Well I got food poising last night. HORRIBLE let me tell you! But it was the perfect night to get it! My mom was in town so she took over! I still had to help her feed but it was great since I was up and down all night going to the bathroom. But sadly she had to leave today. So I am still tired from being up a lot but thankful I did not have to do it alone. My husband has a sore throat so I am making him stay away from the girls and Lysoling everything. I have to feed the girls individually again since the reflux is so bad so it is nice to have any help!
