Morning ladies!
Stacy,
CONGRATULATIONS sweetie, you're going to be a mommy!!!

:D:D It really dawns on you again, doesn't it, when you see that nicely formed little human being inside you! I'm really happy that you had a great experience and that your results were satisfying! Wow, 20 years old, you sexy sexy mama! If only we could have the FIGURE of a 20 years old after we give birth, that would be lovely!

But oh, Stacy, Stacy... here I am, freaking out again after reading your post!!! My best friend's baby was asleep the whole time too during the prenatest ultrasound... and when I saw mine doing backflips all the time, I though, "boy, am I going to run after this one...!"

Ah, well!

I'll welcome that little bugger into my life all the same!
Amy,
How are you doing dear? Did you have a nice weekend? About your comment; like I said hunny, if your doctor doesn't make comments, it mean there's no reason to worry! I never suggested that you were obese by the way, I hope there isn't any misunderstanding; being 20 pounds overweight is not the end of the world! Geez, when I stopped the pill years ago, I was probably around 30 pounds overweight and I lost it all with common sense dieting and moderate exercising. If you feel that you can deal with it after your little treasure is born, then it's the right choice for you! I was just sharing other options with you in case it would trigger your interest and because I know how good it made me feel when my weight dropped slightly to the "expected" level last week. But it's a very personal choice, and I really don't judge anyone on it!
Stefanie,
I'm happy that the announcement went well with your family! Hehehe mine seems interested to help us financially too, but I don't know what they'll contribute to. I think I'll make a baby's list to help the process. The only thing is, you have to stick to one store and it's a tough choice. You are so right about the names hun, I see what you mean. A friend of mine likes very old-fashioned names, like Albertine, for their daughter. People around them apparently make all kinds of inappropriate comments. Geez, it's not like they want to name her "spatula" or something. LOL, since I've seen "Vercingetorix" on a list of boy's names, I keep telling people it's our other choice besides Nathan.

Seriously, not only can it be the best choice when you wait after the birth, but it also allows you to interact with the baby for a few days, see what name fits the best, and then make official introductions to the family. I find it's a very good idea indeed!
To all the others, I hope you're doing well. I'm having fun today shopping around for baby stuff... a good friend and colleague of mine advised us to get the Chariot stroller even if it's pricey. I've read tons of reviews, and people all seem to agree that you really, really get your money's worth. I talked to DH about it and he suggested that we check on a second hand website to see if we couldn't get it at a lower price. It's not a bad idea. Fabricville is having a HUGE sale for all window treatments. So this weekend, my best friend and I will go there and shop for curtains... she wants to buy curtains for her office and possibly the baby's room. And I want to shop for nice THICK winter curtains for the living room (we have a cold draft coming from the windows and I'm always FREEZING in the evening) and of course the curtains for the baby's room. Plus I have the privilege card, so I get a super price. L'Oreal warehouse is also having a huge sale and we have tickets (thanks to my husband's colleague!!!) so we'll go there. There are huge lineups, but it's great to stock up on shampoo and make up.
Okay, enough babbling! Time to figure out that baby's room. My husband agrees with me and we'll follow Tracy Hogg's advice (Secrets of a Baby Whisperer); we want to have the room ready when I reach the third trimester. That way, if baby comes early, or if I'm put on bed rest, we won't have to rely on other people to pick up baby's stuff and prepare the room for us. For now, no rush whatsoever of course. Thing is, if I want to use that sale and just pick the curtains for now, I still have to plan the whole design for the room... and it's not easy!!!
Take care ladies!
