Hi all

I'm with you adsgirl - my intentions are there, but when it comes to the crunch nothing much gets done :? I have a lot of work to do in the house and also out in the yard....thank goodness the people who lived in the house before we bought it planted a lot of stuff that comes back every year so it doesn't look really bare, but the weeds sure are growing.

I haven't signed up for any classes yet of any kind - are you guys going to do any of the Lamaze or anything??

By the time I get done with work its normally about 6-7pm and then with dinner and stuff I just want to sit down and go blah. I keep thinking that if I feel as though I have no time now, then in 4-5 months I'm going to realize what a wimp I was with 2 extra people to look after!

Getting worried about the scan now, I can't wait to see and make sure they are okay and growing alright. My hubby is sure that my bump is not as big as it should be yet so it makes we worried.
Can't wait to hear how yours goes tomorrow Ads. Can't believe it's almost half way through now.

Hey ladies, real quick...we had a scare tonight, ended up in L&D for 3 hours. After work today DH and I did our normal running around and I started noticing a wetness. The more I walked around, the worse it got. By the time I got home my undies were soaked and so was my pants, my pants were soaked down to the thighs. So, I called my Dr and she told me to go straight to L&D to make sure my water didnt break or that I was leaking amnio fluid. So, long story short, all is well, no loss of fluids THANK GOD, but I have to go into the Dr's office on Monday to make sure I dont have something that is causes so much CM.

Hope all is well with everyone!!

That must have been scary Dakota. Did you see any pink, or any bleeding accompanying it? Did they give you a scan to look to see all was ok? I hope they can tell you what is wrong Monday if they didn't know prior. Has it all stopped now?

I did have slight discharge during my first couple of months, but nothing out of the ordinary. I get scared when my cramps get so bad I think I might feel a period coming on! That's happened 3 times total so far, but always is just followed with a nice stomach muscle stretch as the boy grows. Good luck and let us know what transpired.

Ftg- No, no pink or bleeding, nor cramping with it. Just clear fluid, and when I stand I can feel it coming out. The Dr did say around this time your CM increases, but not normally this much, but not everyone is the same. its not as bad as yesterday, but its still alot. The more I walk around and do things the more comes out. So, DH wont let me do anything much. AND he wont let me go anywhere by myself.

They didnt do a scan, but they had me hooked up to all the machines in the labor room. They monitored the baby's HR for a few hours and I had two contractions while there (just BR), but on my dishcharge papers it says I need to drink 12 glasses of water daily because of the BR. So we now have a little thing on the fridge where I mark when I have a glass of water.

As we sa there in our labor room, we got to hear the oh joy of the other women screaming through contractions. yikes!!!

I'll let you all know what they find out on Monday.

Dakota, hope the discharge has stayed slowed down hun, I'm so glad you weren't losing fluid.

Hope all goes well tomorrow. I've been having some, but just enough for the underwear to be grossed out, not the pants too.

Must have been very scary in the labor room not knowing what was going to happen, but very nice to be reassured with her heartbeat and what they said. Good luck tomorrow.

Well, finally jumped on the busy bandwagon with you, so must be your turn to rest and mine to be busy! Feel so much better for it right now, we got some shelves up in my stepdaughters room, and cleared up all their toys that we had moved into the back room to go through and organise (again!). Now it looks great in their room, and the back room is clean and back to normal as a TV room, which makes me feel much better as this is what we are going to frame in and make into the babys' nursery.

Dakota - my goodness! So glad to hear everything's ok...keep us posted on what the doc says tomorrow. Also - do I understand that you are having a crib made?? That is SO neat! We are getting a crib from my brother, and all of my nieces and nephews have slept in it...but how neat to have something handmade for you. VERY COOL.

Anyway - our U/S went well. They knew when I made the appointment that I would be 19w4d, but when I got there, they said "we normally wait until you're at least 20 weeks." They said it like 4 times while we were there, and I was quite annoyed...when I suggested the date to the chick on the phone, she never said anything about it. Anyway...everything checked out well! It looks like we are having a baby girl!! I am so excited, and it all seems so much more real now! We are calling her by her name (which we aren't telling anyone) and have started getting more serious about planning the nursery. I have to go back for another U/S in 2 weeks so they can re-check the heart...they said nothing was wrong, but that the heart was just too small to fully assess. We saw the four chambers and the aorta and everything seemed fine, but they want to make sure...so we'll be going back in 2 weeks.

Jude - good for you - glad you feel like you accomplished a lot this weekend. We had a friend in town with two of her friends - they all ran in a race here yesterday, as did my husband. I was tired after a busy week, and I was up til about midnight both Friday and Saturday...WAY past my bedtime! So I was exhausted when they left this morning after we went and got breakfast. DH and I came home, got in bed, popped in a movie for a while then napped. It was SOOO nice! Have you started planning anything for your nursery?

Gotta run ladies - hope everyone has a great week!

Hello Girls,

Just a quick hi. I am glad you are feeling all right. Although Dakota's post scared me A LOT. Keep us posted tomorrow.
I like when you write about nurseries and all the preparations. It somehow motivates me to try again. As I mentioned earlier, we will be trying with an egg donor now. We didnt go through agencies, just looking for a donor on our own, thru ads in newspapers etc, and we got several responses already. One of the girls seems PERFECT!! Keep your fingers crossed cause I want to be pregnant again SOON. ;)
I gotta go. I have an exam tomorrow. Been very busy lately with school, work, and looking for egg donors. But it is good, I dont have much time to feel sorry for myself ;)
Enjoy whatever is left from this weekend.

I am back from my Dr's apt and all went well. They did all kinds of swabs and test and everything came back normal. They even did an u/s to check my amnio fluid and all is well. The Dr said that some women just have an over abundant of CM and if it is really watery, when you sit all day long then are on your feet running around it can all just come out. I asked how am I goign to tell the difference with that verses if something is wrong. So they gave me at at home test kit. If I start to leak real bad again, I use that and if it turns blue that means my water broke, amnio fluid or blood. So much relief!!!

They went ahead and did my 4 week Dr apt (since it was scheduled for Wed) and all is well. I am measuring 23cm, so my uterus is 1 week ahead. Everything looked good.

Not under the circumstances, but I was glad to get a sneak peak at the little one. She has gotten bigger in just the few weeks since my last u/s. They didnt really look her over, we just saw her, they were more so measuring fluid and whatnot.

Unexplained- Glad to hear you are on a roll to get a donor egg! Thats great!!

Adsgirl- Yes, my dad is making the crib. I talked to him this weekend and he has the headboard and footboard all put together, he just needs to work on the ends now.
Yeah for the pink team :P Well, just think that you get to go back in two weeks and see her again! I am sure all is well, and she'll be bigger and doing fun tricks for ya'll.

Jude- Wow, you got alot done. I bet that felt great!!

Hope everyone is doing well and babies are growing like crazy and kicking our butts

Hi Dakota,

Thank you very much for the update. I have to use liners during both of pgs to avoid the messiness. Although I know some women are more watery than others, still, I thought it was a good idea to have it checked in case. That's why I did not get panicked when I saw your last post.

Unexplained,

Thanks for coming back to check on us. I am happy that you have a busy schedule to keep your mind occupied. Life is short, we need to know our goal and try to reach it. Good luck in finding perfect EDs.

Everyone else,

Enjoy the rest of the journey!

As for us, we are doing fine except this time, my pg belly is huge and hard on my back. But they say pg with boys are like that. Knowing also the fact that for most women, subsequent pg is always bigger than the first ones, I believe that everything moves to the right direction. The boy moves a lot which made me think he will arrive earlier than expected. We still have not named him yet.

Hey ladies--

Just checking in.....how is everyone doing? I am doing well. Dakota-- I'm glad that your scare turned out to be okay. Unexplained-- thanks for checking in on us! Hope your donor search is over soon! I have nothing going on really. We had our reg OB appt last Wed. Everything looks good. I am scheduled for my next one plus my glucose test Nov.19th. Jackson has been moving around alot, but today he is having a quiet day. I don't really like quiet days, but I did feel him a couple times so I'm sure he's fine. My belly is really starting to show! I gained 1.5lbs this week, I think I'm going to start watching how much I am eating. I don't feel like having a ton of wright to lose after the baby. I have gained 5 lbs so far and my goal is to stay below 25, but 20 would be ideal!
I can't beleive its almost November already! The holidays are going to be here before we know it. I have already started Xmas shopping!
Any suggestions on good GPS systems??? Lower end prices! I think thats what i'm getting DH.
Well hope everyone has a good week!

Morning ladies! I haven't been posting for a while, been too crazy with work these past couple of weeks and then just come home to eat and crash. I'm feeling great though and I think my little girl is feeling the same :) She kicks constantly, morning, noon and night. I wake up to her kicking, she does it during meetings (really throws me off) and pretty much all night. I'm hoping this isn't a sign of things to come  My belly is also getting much bigger, so it's completely obvious I'm pregnant and not just getting fat. Still no work on her room, but figure my nesting will kick in soon. I think we're going to try and register this weekend, so that should be fun. Also need to do a little shopping, since I only have a few pieces and most of them are for warmer weather. It's still in the 70's during the day, but 30's in the morning and cooler at night. I've had to break down and wear a couple of my pre-pregnancy small tops and wow are they snug!

Neffi - Glad to hear your belling is starting to show, itsn't it exciting! I'll probably gain around 35lbs total and hope to lose it quickly after she's born, so guessing there will be lots of stroller rides coming up :) Not positive on all the GPS systems, but we have a Garmin and I know they make one of the best ones.

Children - I've seen a couple contraptions that you wear around your belly (like a criss-cross) and it's supposed to help hold your belly up and not be so hard on your back. I hope it gets better for you.

Dakota - Sorry to hear about the scare, my goodness this is such a rollercoaster ride! Great news that it was just CM though and even better you got to see your little girl again.

unexplained infertility - I'm so happy to see you back on the board and I wish you the best of luck in finding an egg donor soon!! I'll be thinking about you and keeping my fingers crossed that you're pregnant in no time.

AdsGirl - Welcome to the girl club :)

Jude - My goodness you've all been productive. I swear I haven't done anything and it just hit me yesterday that she's 4 months away from the big arrival. Glad to hear you're getting things ready and the baby's room is on its way.

I hope everyone else is doing great and feeling wonderful. It's still hard to believe some days that I'm really pregnant, it is so amazing!!

Glad that everyone is doing well!

Ads - congrats on a little girl! :D

Unexplained - I'm so glad you are on a roll, and getting a good response wtih your egg donor hunt. My fingers and toes are crossed for you!

Children - wow, 26 weeks already!!! Thats awesome. Your days left to go are in the double digits now! A friend of mine said when her daughter was pg with twins she used a pg support belt and it really helped with her back when she was carrying big.

Dakota - so glad that all went well and the scare was okay. Very reassuring to have the home test kit, now you can relax again and concentrate on growing ur bubby.

Neffi - we have a garmin and it DH seems to like it okay. My inlaws have a tom-tom and the voice is really annoying! Glad that you are gaining weight! That means all is growing well! (that's what I'm telling myself!) Only 5 lbs so far is amazing, so you are well on track. Just think when he is born, the next day the scales will be a whole lot less - the only time when you really wake up and lose 10 + lbs overnight!

Angram - glad your belly is growing too! I was so happy when the first person who had no idea asked me if I was pregnant! It sounds like ur little girl is super active! Hopefully when she comes out she'll have used up all her nighttime energy and decide that then is for sleeping instead! That will be nice to register - let us know how it goes.

So, we had the 20 week scan yesterday, and it confirmed that one of the bubs is a little boy, and the other is a GIRL!! Yay, so I am batting for the pink and the blue team now!

All was fine with the boy, he is weighing about 13 oz, and measured 20 weeks 5 days, and the girl weighs in at 11 oz and 20 weeks 1 day. With the girl, they said there was a small speck in her heart. They explained this as a little calcified area, and it is a 'soft marker' for down's. We didn't have any other markers, apparently what this does is change my risk of her having DS from 1 in 720 (due to age), to 1 in 360. The Doc. said that as the risk of an amnio causing a prob. is 1 in 200, and it was only one marker which is often found in completely healthy babies too, that he didn't recommend doing anything about it. I was so worried yesterday, and didin't know how to feel. I looked up a bunch of stuff on google though and read some positive stories with the same finding - so I am thinking that all is okay. I hope so. So - we are just going to leave it at that - he said if I had been 20 or something, then he wouldn't even be mentioning it. Who knew that 31 was so old!!

Hi all,

Happy Pumpkin/ghost day!

angram and jude,

Thanks for the tips of managing back ache. I am wearing my elastic bell and suspensions. I guess my job is to sit in front of a computer may not help. But it is all manageable, no big deal. My nausea is finely faded quite a bit, and I finally can eat with a little joy now. Unfortunately, I don't have much room for food anymore given the increasing belly takes all the space!

jude,

In our over 40 women group, we had 3 out of 4 pg women (including me) were told that a white spot was found in the baby's heart. In the end, all of our babies are normal. As you have already done your research, many obs suggest to ignore this soft marker for Downs. I think your ob is very wise!

Take care all!

Hello ladies,

We had a flurry of activity at our home, and it is now settling down. My back/pelvis alignment was hurting so bad we had to go out and find a new bed. The sleepcomfort bed I can not as of now say enough good things about. It has already made a world of difference. The PT I went to for back excercises never worked, so now I'm at a chiropractor trained for pre-natal. Turns out his wife is 19 wks pregnant, so he may be using his experience for her!

I'm so glad all is going well for everyone. I officially gained 19 lbs since conception. My OB measured my belly at 24 wk checkup, and I measured 27!! I am shortwaisted, so again I think I'm going to (and do) stick out further than those with the longer torsos who have more room to grow. I still have issues moving around in bed, but am hoping this combo of exercise, swimming, chiro and good sleep will help everything. I just want a healthy baby out of all of this and want to do whatever I can to help.

Sorry I am off to my writing class and have to run, but more personals for all later!

Thanks Children for your encouraging words - I went and read through some of the posts from when you guys were preggers before, and it was reassuring to read that this has happened with healthy babies. Did you do any of the blood tests last time, or an amnio or anything??

Ftg - glad you are feeling better, mmm, a sleep number bed does sound good to me - I wake up each night with a really sore hip and have to turn over and rub it for a while until it goes away, then a few hours later it switches to the other one! What kind of writing class do you do?

Hope everyone else is okay - it's been very quiet round here the last few days
