Hey girls
Suga it's definately scary when bubs gets sick so little i know when Katie had her cold all i cold do is sit and watch her and worry like stupid that she wasn't getting enough air and as you know she did end up in hospital they had her on an oxygen saturation machine which basically shows how much air shes taking in and despite how horrible her breathing sounded she actually was taking in a good level for the majority of the time i think 89 90 percent was the least and that didn't happen often but definately get them checked just to make sure they are ok and to put your mind at ease a little. i know you can put vicks vapour rub on a cloth and hang near them to help them breathe better just make sure you don't put it on them as they are still to little. hope its not to bad a cold and doesn't last to long and i hope your cold is getting better too. how are you feeling otherwise the ppd settleing down for you now i sure hope so i've been waiting for a reoccurance this time as its common to reaccure but so far so good

Mbre soory haven't had a chance to read your birth story yet but will today congrats on bub safe arrival

As for me Katie is now constipated thbe poor little chop i've tried the brown suger and water which worked great the first time but now nothing seems to be helping her i'm ringing community health today to see what formual they recommend i change her to shes on Karicare gold at the moment and apparently formulas with gold are heavier and tend to have this problem so i'll be changeing it and seeing how she goes other than that she is still the perfect little baby and boy is she getting heavy

Sorry have to go time to give ds medicine his ear infection came back he seems to be prone to getting them.

takecare all JOMAEXXX

Jomae: I know for us they tell us pear juice, prune juice, white grape juice (one ounze juice one ounce water and then just give them a tiny bit at a time). OR I use the dark kayro syrup for them and that does the trick on em. About a tsp. per bottle (I am doing 3 1/2 - 4 oz) (100-110 ml)

Took the girls to the doctor again today because they just do not seem better. But the doc. said they sounded clear in their lungs and just keep doing what I am doing (humidifier, unplugging their nose, etc). They just sound so congested! Then they had their RSV shot today so I feel sorry for the babes. But she said their cold could last up to 3 weeks! So I had to add the Reglan back because their reflux is worse when they have a cold. Then once the cold is gone I can stop it again...but it will help with the motility for the time being. They both weigh 9 lbs 6 oz!! Getting big on me! Can not believe it!

I scheduled their Christmas pictures today so that will be fun. I have cute little dresses for them. Anywhoo, they are napping which means I am napping!

To all the Pumpers -- do you find a disparity in how much you can express from each breast? I have one "super-boob" that produces much more than the other. Just wondering if anyone else had that experience.

Yay Rinn! Keep us posted!!! Well the girls have not changed much so that is good. Just keep doing what I am doing. They are almost eating 4 oz at each feeding! They graduated to size one pampers but they are huge on them. The newborns are just too small though. In between sizes!

I am trying to get their bed time to be 8:00 every night. Sometimes they fight it sometimes they do not. Tonight Mackenzie is. She did not nap well at all today so I think she is over tired. Poor thing! But I am off to watch Greys!

The girls have dad wrapped around their fingers already! I took a nap today (wonderful I might add!) I wake up and Mackenzie has not taken her 11AM nap...He said she fell asleep for like 10 minutes. I was like, did you put her in her room and let her cry it out for a few minutes..."no, I wanted her out here in the living room where I could keep an eye one her." me: "There is a baby monitor for that" Him: "Yeah but, I just wanted to keep an eye on her. She did not look tired." Me: " You have to force this one to take a nap and she will ONLY sleep in her room now. There is too much going on out here and she just wants to stay awake and look at what is going on." Him: "Oh."

Yeah, he does not make them take naps if they do not seem tired! lol. So, she went right to sleep at their 1PM feed. I keep reminding him it throws them off to get off schedule and then they are not ready for bed at 8PM if we do not follow what they are used to. Too cute to get mad at him. He said he just wanted to hold her and play with her since she was awake. Well, duh! She does not want to go to sleep if she knows you are going to play! lol.

On a good note!! Mackenzie has no more jaundice from her TPN in the NICU! So no more of that medication for her!!! It was 1.1 today and they said that that level was within normal range!! I am going to take a picture of her pouring out the bottle of that medicine since she has been on it FOREVER!!!

Brooke is still my sick on. Wheezing and coughing. Kenzie is just sniffly. Poor babes. THey seem to be sweating a lot too? I mean it is not THAT hot in here, but they are in long sleepers so I think I need to put them in something lighter till it gets cold out side. (Florida for ya!)

Hi girls! sorry I've been MIA- after getting so sick with the mastitis last week, it took me a bit to get back on track- still need to catch up on all of your goings on (have a lot of reading to do!!)
just a quick shout out to RINNIE_ WOOOOHOOOOO!!! congrats momma!!! keep up the great work.- my girlfriend is now 5 mos pregnant after 1st IVF (they did a lot of IUI) and she is your age and also did TCM- awesome work!

Rio- pup is great- he met Pulman just when we came home, and has been an angel ever since- a bit extra needy, perhaps, but that is understandable - he checks on Pulman when he cries, or if we change his diaper, then it's back to sleep- in fact, our whole house is a bunch of sleepers - how is yours?

Pumping- yes- one breast was an over achiever at first, but it seems that now whichever one I bf off of before I pump gives less milk. - DH gave Pulman his 1st bottle last night- seemed like a welcomed break until I had to get up and root around in all the baby stuff to find a bottle that wouldn't leak!!! hmf! some break! better luck tonight!

more personals to come-
love love!!

Hi girls! Sorry I too have been MIA but I found out I have to have my gallbladder removed! Another surgery for me  I have been in enough pain they just want to take it out. But on the plus side I get an extra 4 weeks of disability! I am dreading going back to work  nay of you girls gearing up to go back any time soon? I am also trying to pump but only get 1 oz he is going through a growth spurt I think cause he nurses so much I am completely dry and I know he is eating a lot based on poopie and pipi diapers! I tried giving him formula to catch up on bmilk storage for surgery and he refused, spit it all out and cried.

I posted pics of the bean at photobucket. Love all the pics. Katie you look amazing, Ella is gorgeous, AUbrey is darling and Mackenzie such a ham! THey are all beautiful babies and we are so lucky!
Loopie - where is a pic of Pulman? :)
JOmae - how did you deal with DS and a c-sec recovery? Is everyone healed up?
Suga- how are the girls?
Mellie - are you bfeeding or puping and feeding him? Are you breasts better? Mine still hurt a bit.

much love to all the mommies!!!

So guess what I have mastitis again. Got it i guess yesterday---This totally sucks I am debating on whether or not to stop and switch to just formula. I just feel so guilty and not sure why. I think I got it because I went to far inbetween pumping during the night.

Oh Katie- yuck!!!!!!!!! I am sorry- having it for just 1 round was bad enough! Thing is, they want you to keep nursing/pumping so that the infected ducts can clear- I know it sucks (no pun intended) but check with your doc because stopping now may make it even worse (if you can imagine!)

Rio- ugh!!!!!!what a nightmare- how long will you need to be hospitalized? any chance you can mix milk and formula to trick your bean into taking it? Oh and your bean is huge!!!!!!!!!! and so cute in the pool!!!

Suga- how's the schedule going? and how are you feeling? has the medicine helped? I hope you are talking to someone as well- that always helps me.

mbre- you hanging in there? How's the colic? any better?? how about BF? still pumping?

Gecko- is Dh back? how was it going solo? I can't imagine it_ even if Dh doesn't do anything but hold Pulman for a few minute, it makes a huge difference to my state of mind!

Cinci- how's that pretty girl doing?

Mellie, Weezie, Jomae- what's new??

Michelle & Tina- how are you and your babes doing? post some pix on the photobucket!!!!!!!!!!!

I have found that by not using the Lansinoh Lanolin on my nipples, it has been better- they are toughening up, and it is making the bfeeding go much better- there is a bit of cracking, but it's way better than when i was globbing that stuff on- best to let them air dry after feeding,- that helps, too.

Things are good here, but getting out into the world takes so much longer, and now it is getting pretty cold, and Pulman is only 6lbs 3oz (hooray) but so skinny- very little body fat, so I worry a bit about taking him out. On the bright side, he's pretty portable from a weight perspective
 and is almost fitting into "newborn" clothes    at 3 1/2 weeks
I am wondering about going back to school- I just don't know what to do next semester- ok- need to feed

take it easy

loopie
ps- not doing cloth diapers yet- he's still in preemie sized disposables- he'd just about drown in the cloth ones I have    but hope to get him in the cloth in the next month or so.. we shall see

Hey Ladies! Sorry it's been so long, busy mommy, but I know I don't have to tell you...

Woohoo! Ella officially slept through the night last night. She had her last bottle around 7:30, I put her in her crib around 9, thinking I would have to go up and feed her again, but she fell asleep by 9:30. She was sleeping so deep that the motion alarm on her monitor actually went off. It is a pad under the matress that came with the monitors that an alarm goes off if it doesn't detect movement for 20 seconds. I love it, but super scary when it false alarms. So, she slept all the way through, I actually woke her at 8 am because I was nervous she was sleeping too much. That was 12 hours without a bottle. Amazing... I don't want to get too excited, I am sure it will not be a normal thing yet.

I put some new pics on photobucket. I love the pics up there. Rio- your boy is so cute, I especially like the teddy bear outfit. Parker is a cutie too. Nice profesional pics, where did you get them done? Even though I have a million digital pics, I think I might get some professionals done.

I put up a pic of Ella with Santa- we went to go see him yesterday before he gets too busy. I also put up the pic we used for our holiday photo cards this year, she is dressed up in a santa suit. Then there is a bath pic and her election day pic. Her election outfit was huge but so cute. It has a hippo on it and says "I'm a little hope-opotamus." It would have been cute for either political party.

I also put a youtube video up of Ella playing with a new toy I got for her. The link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbibr6EjU9Q. You can just copy and paste it. The toy is the fisher price kickiin bobbin gym and was on sale this week at toys r us. I have been looking for a while for a kicking toy. She loves to kick and I definitely reccomend this toy for anyone who's baby loves to kick. When they kick the ball, the bear moves and lights up. Worth every penny.

One other awesome investment for all of you when you make the transition to crib. I got the fisher price ocean wonders aquarium. Fisher price has been making this thing forever and my cousins loved it ten years ago. Reviews were awesome and I agree. She is mesmorized by it. It runs for 18 minutes and sometimes I have to hit it 2 or 3 times. She watches it and if she doesn't fall asleep, she cries when it shuts off. Also worth every penny.

Sorry for the lengthy post, I just don't get the chance very often and then I have a lot to say. How is everyone else doing? Sorry about the breastfeeding issues I have read about. I can't relate since I chose to formula feed only, but I do feel bad for the ladies having difficulty.

What about napping? Do your babies have a set napping schedule during the day, or do you just let them sleep when they want? Do you put them down for naps? She doesn't like to go down, just likes to hang out with me and fall asleep wherever, whenever she is tired. I am thinking that is a bad habit, but if I try to put her down during the down, she just gets overtired because she won't sleep.

Oh, we also had a dr's appt on election day. She was up to 10 lbs 7 oz. She also had a little bit of flathead on one side. We had to get a sleep positioner to try and prevent her from sleeping on that side. Anyone else have that problem yet? Dr said it was super common.

Ok, gotta run and shower while she is sleeping. I look forward to hearing from you all and seeing more pics on photobucket. I am also updating Ella website. It is Ellamichele.shutterfly.com (if you want to look, type it just how it is, no www in the front.)
