Dakota-please let us know how everything is going. What a bunch of crap! I have never heard of this so am interested to know what the process is for going about it. Would love to see the crib your dad made. What a talent!

Genessa-sound like your shower was a success!

CT_Michele-congrats on your little girl. What great pictures you have, and its so nice to share!

My official due date is now 2/5 for a c-sect. I'm pretty small and our boy is measuring big so I won't fight it as we all just want the same result in the end - a healthy child. He and I weathered our food poisoning well, and even a check of the cervix revealed all was good. I passed my glucose test fine, however am a little low on iron so will take a supplement from now on. Other than that I'm just getting beat up with strong movements and punches :)

Looking forwad to turkey day, and my shower is 12/7. I hope you all have a great thanksgiving. At our home we know we have a LOT to be thankful for!

Hi everyone,

Lots of posts to catch up on! Glad to read that everyone is doing well and having nice showers for those who have already. Dakota - are you going to follow up with your company for unfair dismissal? I can understand their dilemma, but if you wouldn't have been chosen if you weren't preggers, they can't do that!

genessa, are you getting one bassinet for both twins to keep them in your room? We are getting the two cribs, but didn't know if they would really need two bassinets or fit into one for keeping them close for a little while. I would like to especially if I have a c-section just to make it easier.

although, I am so in love with their nursery maybe they;ll just be in there! all we have at the moment is a framed in and drywalled room, no door up yet, but I can't believe how much has got done! i was starting to panic that it would never be ready, but now we are hoping it'll be good for the flooring and paint by next weekend on the one after fingers crossed. i think we might do an underwater/beach theme for them, we have a really nice aqua blue/green fish pic. that's kindof the inspiration for the colours.

adsgirl, so I am 2 days behind you then in dates! congrats for tomorrow on making it to 6 months, I can't wait!

ftg - yay you have a due date!! that's 3 days after my birthday - glad you are better after the food poisoning and passed ur diabetic testing.

hope everyone is able to chill and enjoy turkey day this week - is anyone planning on doing some bargain black friday shopping?

please everyone, send some positive vibes to my friend back in england, she just had her transfer for first ivf friday, so is in the dreaded 2ww. i am so hoping and praying that it works out for her. being pregnant is amazingly awesome!!

take care all

Hello ladies!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I am pumped becasue I only have to work two days this week! I'm so ready for some time off. Jackson has been active in my belly and I just love every kick and tumble! We had our first shower from the girls from work yesterday. It was very nice....we got most of the "little" things off the registry. I am worried because there is just so many expensive big things that can't possibly all be bought. We will probably spend at least $400 dollars on things not bought...but I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
Jude-- I will be praying for your friend!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Cant wait to go shopping Friday!

Hi all!!

Well I filed a charge with EEOC, we'll see what happeneds, keep your fingers crossed!!!

Once I get the crib I will take pictures and post so ya'll can see. I cannot wait!!! He will be here with it in 3 days. I am SO excited!! We also pick up the dresser this Friday so I will be able to get moving on the nursery.

I am getting a growth assessement U/S on Wed. I am nervous, but excited to see her and find out how she is growing. She's fighting it, but she is getting too big to continue to lay "east/west" and refuses to lay "north/south" so the last few days her feet have been down right at my left hip bone and her head has been right at my right lower rib. I am guessing in the next few weeks she will be forced "north/south". I got my little calender from the Dr's office to start recording movements next week, that should be fun and nerve wrecking, but I have been already mentally doing so.

Neffi- If it helps, we do have to buy all of our big items, but we've gotten alot of gift cards/money to cover some and (I am horrible) I took back alot of things that I didnt want that we got as gifts to get in store credit. I ended up with about $200 worth of credits. We got 4 bathtubs, so I took back 3, which was almost $60, I got WAY too many recieving blankets and washclothes, so took some back, also got LOTs of big fuzy, fluffy blankets so took some back. It all added up pretty fast. That $200 covered the car seat and stroller. Then we also got $300 in cash/gift cards that covered most of everything we didnt get. I think we will be out $100 in the end for things like the rest of the room decor, lamp, baskets...little things like that. So dont worry too much!!!

Seems all is well with everyone and LO's are kicking and puntching up a storm!!!

Anyone start Dr apt every 2 weeks yet? They are having me start at 28 weeks.

Hello Girls,

It is such a joy to see you are all fine, and preparing nurseries, and showers, WOW! I cant wait for my turn...

As for me, we met with our donor today. She is just perfect :) She isnt 21 yet, so we are waiting for her 21st birthday in March, and after that, we are signing the contract, and we are planning the procedure for May. I hope she doesnt change her mind, but she seems so sincere, honest, and responsible. I feel like crying from joy right now!!! She comes from my country, from a city 1 hour away from my house. Amazing! She is so pretty and smart!!! Oh, I cant wait to get pregnant again! Keep your fingers crossed!

Dakota, I am sorry about the work situation! Fight it, Girl!

Hello everyone - Oh my the boys are little fighters in there. Its non stop now and sometimes it feels like they are going to push my belly button off. Its so weird yet exciting at the same time. ITs funny at first I did not want anyone to touch my stomch or anything and now I find myself reaching for my families hands to have them feel the movement.

Well this week like Neffi is short of me which is great. I am so tired of working not because I feel bad just the waiting for leave and for the arrival its killing me. I want it to happen right now!!

Oh Jude you asked me about the twins and a bassinet. Well first we were going to the Graco twin one BUT we looked at it a bit more and found a lot of not so great things about it. And so we decided on one bassinet for them to share as at first they cant roll or anything and the Dr. said htis is typical to keep them together easier to keep them on the same schedule. And as for a crib same thing we have two but only put on in the room for now until they are to big to share. ITs just the room is small and this make more sense. I am sure whatever you choice though will be best for you.

OK ladies I am back to work talk to you all soon

unexplained - what an awesome gift to look forward to! That is so great I really hope you keep us posted on your news. There is no question that you both have another chance, and we know it will work for you!

Dakota - god yes, keep fighting it, and we will cross our fingers for you here. When it looks and smells like crap, it probably is :)

I started going every 2 wks last time, and will have another appt next week. MY OB said everything is right on schedule, even being so sick I lost 2 lbs from last time, but something tells me I'll just catch up...his movements are crazy, but it all makes me feel good. I got my sheet, but will not start until tonight. I would love to get another view of him before we see him live at birth, however if we don't have any complications I don't think there will be another u/s for us.

Having a formal due date is great yes, however no one knows if they will labor prior to it, have issues, etc. I think at 36 wks I will go once a wk since I am scheduled for a 39 wk c-sect.

Have a lovely thanksgiving week ladies!

Gennessa - I could not imagine what it feels like to have 2 little ones in there kicking, as my little girl kicks non stop and incredibly hard. I'm also having a short week, well I'm "working from home", so it's much nicer than driving in.

unexplained infertility - I could not be happier for you, that is excellent news!! I'll keep you in my prayers and wish you the very best for next May!

Dakota - Can't wait to see your crib, what an awesome gift. I think I start my 2 week visits after my next appt, which will be week 27. I'm looking forward to going more often, just like having someone else tell me everything is good :) I absolutely love feeling her move around too, that tells me everything is fine and she's nice and happy.

Neffi - I agree with Dakota, give it some time and then return the things you don't need. Are you planning to have another shower with family and friends? If so, I'm sure you'll get more of the items you need.

Jude - The underwater/beach theme sounds nice and relaxing, now hopefully the kiddos will feel the same :) I'm sending good vibes to your friend and wish her the very best.

ftg - Wow, 2/5 huh..that's not too far away ya know. The holidays will fly by and we'll be in January before you know it.

AdsGirl - Glad to hear your cold is finally going away, what a pain!

Well not too much happening around here, just getting ready for turkey day and planning to eat plenty :) I started having contractions last week so had to make a trip to the OB. Everything checked out fine and they're just braxton hicks, but my goodness it scared me. I have them every couple of hours, so just praying she decides to hold up in her condo for a few more months :) Other than that we're doing a little here and there to get the house ready and hung a cute fan in her room on Sunday. Still trying to decide how (or if) to paint, so I'm going to head to a new model home with a friend to check out a cute paint job she saw. I finally set a date for my shower, which will be Jan 10th. I have 60 people on the list so far, which seems like a lot to me but don't really want to break it up into 2 showers.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving, we have so very much to be thankful for!

Hi all!! I hope everyone had a great turkey day and ate lots of yummy food!!!

Nothing really new going on here. I got my crib and dresser!!!! I cant wait to start staining it. I've been really busy trying to take advantage of all of my BRU coupons before they expire and finish up getting everything we need. We pretty much have it all!!! I still need to get some extra sheets, wall art and lamps and I'm done with the purchases, now onto getting the nursery done!!

I have another Dr apt tomorrow. This will be my first of the 2 week apts. My u/s went well last week. Gracie is measuring in the 54%. I got my chart to write down movements, but the little bugger has changed her pattern and I am trying to figure out when is the best time to count. I think she may have changed her pattern because I have changed mine since I am not working?

Anyone done their hosiptal tour yet?

Dakota-glad to hear its all coming together for you. We have our hospital tour next Monday night with our labor & delivery class series. We're 1/2 way through now, only 2 more to go. 12/20 we have a baby & you class to educate us on newborn/to a few months old care. We're considering a parenting class to talk about different parenting styles, but may hold off until later.

I had a dr. appt yesterday and my almost 30 wk belly is measuring 33! I guess I'm back on track after the food poison sickness, and boy is our little man active. One night I got 10 movement counts in 2 minutes. I asked my OB if there can be "too much" activity, and she said no, that it might start to be his personality traits. Anyone else get that answer yet? We are getting close to a name; Ryan and Liam are still front runners.

An u/s is scheduled for my next appt in 2 wks to track his growth, and to see if there is any extra fluid, etc. I'm still doing weights, swimming, walking and prenatal yoga so I feel fine. No swelling knock on wood. I cannot bend over anymore, and its been replaced by squats :) When I get the growth spurt stretch it really hurts. That was Sunday/Monday. I may be having a couple braxton hicks today, but now I'm feeling better.
I saw you had them angram-are you better now and has anyone else had them?

My shower is this Sunday, and I'm looking forward to it. I also have BRU coupons to use, and most of them prior to xmas so the timing is perfect. Hope you ladies are feeling great!

ftg - Glad to hear your little man is growing and moving like crazy, that's excellent. I haven't heard that it is the start of personality traits, I surely hope not :) Our little girl is quite the mover as well and kicks about every hour or so. I've had a horrible cold and took benedryl for 2 nights, but then yesterday she didn't move at all so I panicked. My OB got me in to listen to the HB and make me feel better, said she's just sleepy from the meds. So now I'm just going to ride it out and not take anything, it's miserable. I'm still having BH contractions, about 2 an hour for a few hours and then a couple here and there, but they said my cervix still looks good and to just drink plenty of water and relax when I get them.

Dakota - So exciting about your crib and dresser and wow, you already have everything you need! I have the furniture, we'll pick up the glider this w/e, and have the bedding, but other than that nothing. I'm waiting for my shower in early January, then I'll go buy the rest. I think little Gracie is already playing with you by changing her patterns, trying to see how ready you are :)

We're planning to take a hospital tour during our L&D class in January, and I'm excited that they opened the new L&D hospital last weekend. The other one wasn't all that old, but the new one is supposed to be great. Other than that I'm just finishing up my shower list for invitations, but it's already at 65 and growing. I don't really want to have 2 of them and guessing only half or so will show, so guess we need to serve plenty of food and alcohol to keep everyone busy :)

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Hey ladies! I hope everyone is doing well!!

I spent 4 hours in L&D today. I went into Dr's because I had light spotting, Dr and I agreed it was probally that pesky polyp on the cervix, but she wanted to check me just to be safe. Turns out that it was, BUT I am dilated a little over 1cm and my cervix is starting to thin, its at 3cm. So she swabbed me for FFN and sent me to L&D to get it checked. Thank goodness it came back negitive, but I am still put on modified bed rest. I have to go back next week to have another u/s to check my cervix. So as I sit here on the sofa, which will be my daily routine I hope that I dont continue to dilate and thin more.

Take care all!!

Oh Dakota! Bedrest! I cant imagine being on bedrest for a long period of time! I'm glad that everything looks okay though! Keep us updated

So how is everyone else??? I had my shower on Sunday...it was great! I basically got everything on my registry except for the travel system. So thats really the only thing we have to buy. My living room is full of gifts and I have no energy to put anything away! I had a friends baby shower on Saturday and I felt so bad for her cause she got nothing from her registry! Then she came to my shower the next day...I felt really bad! ANyway...got to get working on my thank-you cards!

Please take care Dakota and keep us posted. I don't know what a test for "FFN" is if you can help(?)

I also had my shower on Sunday, and it was honestly overwhelming. I had about 20 ladies, and my DH was our photographer. We are working on getting a link posted and sent out to everyone as my 30th week is passing. I got a mix of registry items and just lovely gifts, but am using my babies r us rewards and coupons to get the final items. Today I got many, and tomorrow eve we are going to purchase the travel system; also I think our last big purchase for a while.

I hope all are getting the rest they need. I am kept up many nights with our boy going crazy in my belly if he doesn't like my position. I can still swim, walk and do some weights, but even prenatal yoga is getting hard because he doesn't like it when I sit at a 90 degree angle...like right now he is scrunched, so I've gotta move :)

Hey ladies......question for all of you....have you been feeling like some days your belly is going to explode? Today I was very uncomfortable! A little pain in my belly and just not feeling comfortable. Like everything is streching to fast! Or maybe like he is laying funny in there? I dont know, but it's not comfortable! Should I worry? Its been all day!
