Michele: TOO CUTE! I smiled through the video! I AM SO JEALOUS about the sleeping through the night!!!! But then I read how much she weighed...hopefully mine will get there soon!!! (Still only 9 lbs 10 ozish). AHHH I hear 10 lbs is the magic number. We shall see!!! Also, i have set nap schedules. Sometimes they work sometimes not. Depends on how tired they are. I still make them lay there though and have quiet time for my sake. Usually they fall asleep for at least 45 minutes.

Paker is only 5 weeks tomorrow but her gets up for a 2-3 hours in the morning naps and for an hour or so and then eats and after that he goes for a long nap until like 4 or 5 and is up for a 1-2 hours and sometimes naps again for his last feeding and stays up for another hour or so and then goes to bed. He sleets for 4-6 hours and wakes up to eat and then goes back to sleep until 6 am and I usually put him on me and he falls back to sleep until about 8 and we start over. Its nothing set its just how hes been doing it.
Oh and I HATE the passy. I call it the Passy war. and lately he doesnt want to sleep in his bed . but he will go to sleep and his passy will fall out and i will give it back and make sure he has a grip. He does and doses off and hten 10 min later its out and he is grunting. I have dont this cycle for up to two hours. I everntually get sick of it and put him in bed with me. That is a habbit I said I'd nver do but when you need sleep and you have mastitis for the second time all that goes out the window. He doesnt really need it during the day only during his fussy times and at night. Anyone else having sleeping issues?
Cute pics on photo LOVE EM!!!!

sugarbeanz- no need to be jealous yet, I knew it would be for just that one night. She is now going to sleep around 8 or 9 (sometimes 10) and gets up between 5 and 6. Sometimes I can get her to go back to sleep or lay quietly in her crib, but other times she does not want to let me sleep anymore. Fortunately, on most days, dh can take her so I can sleep for a few more hrs.
Katie- Right now I am pushing a pacifier because ella loves to suck her fingers and hands. The dr confirmed what I thought, which is that a pacifier habit will be much easier to break than a finger sucking habit, so I try to give her a pacifier when she wants it, but sometimes her fingers are all that satisfies her.
Well, we got an eye opening piece of mail yesterday. It was a bill from our infertility clinic. It is for the storage of sperm for the next year, until Nov. 09. It sparked a conversation between dh and I about whether we were having more kids and how soon. Dh had to have a sperm extraction surgery the first time and he would prefer not to do it again, also, even if he does it, there is no gaurantee they will find anything. I think I would like one more, preferrably close in age to Ella so they can play together, but I would have to have better timing this time, because as a teacher, the next one would have to be an early summer baby so I could have a permanat job. I can get away with not working with one kid, but I think I would have to work with 2. I think we are going to pay for the storage and she how the next 10 months goes. I have afeeling we will be ready to try again. What about you guys? Any thoughts of more yet?

Michele: I am going to have to start paying for our eggs in 09 as well. I am wondering how much it costs because I forget that detail. We only have 2 frozen. I am thinking, if it is expensive, we will put them back in on their second birthday so they are pretty close in age. Almost three when the new baby(ies) are born. If those do not take, I do not think we could afford a fresh cycle any time soon because we have loads of student loans *sigh*
The girls and I went to Target today. Needless to say, the missed that nap. So they are sleeping now. I will have to wake them up at 6:30 or so to give baths and feed them. Hopefully they still go to bed around 8:00. I used to take them everywhere and they would just sleep in their car seats and not wake up. Now, they hear things going on and want to look around! So I really have to be home for nap time. Tomorrow are Christmas pictures!!!

Sugarbeanz- I remember on my transfer day that I had the chance to freeze two embryos and we chose not to because they wanted $2000 on that day and we just could not afford, also because of college costs. Fortunately, the frozen sperm only costs $300 per year to store and in CT, insurance pays for 2 cycles. Since we were successful on our first attempt, our insurance will pay for it one more time. If insurance did not pay for it, we would never have been able to even afford the first one. Finally, a reason to be happy for living in CT.
Good luck with the xmas pics, make sure you post them for us to see. Ella is napping now too, and will also be up for a bath soon. Talk to everyone later...

Yeah we did not have to put anything down on the eggs. I think that sounds about right, $300-400 a year to store them. We had insurance pay for our first cycle which we were lucky that it paid for it because we could not have afforded it without it! But it only pays for one cycle and we do not have that insurance any more. So hopefully our frozens work!!

CT Michelle...2 things...I love the video...and that toy! I have never seen it before! I already emailed my Dad and told him Abby wants it for Christmas. Also...where in CT are you? I went to HS in Westport.
I have to say Sug...that is great that your insurance covered it, and that you have frosties. We paid 100% out of pocket. 2 cycles. And neither left us with frosties. Although I would love to give Abby another sibling (since she lost Madison), I can't imagine going through another pregnancy like the last one. Nor can my doctors. They have already warned me it wouldn't be a good idea. But we'll just have to see!
Corny, you will know if it is right for you. Why do they think another pregnancy would not be good? I thought everything that went on was just because of the twins? I can not believe how expensive it is! I do not think it should be so expensive for people who want/need the help to get preggers. Well, we only have 2 frosties so those have to work. I do not think we will ever be able to afford a fresh cycle.

corny- I love the toy, its awesome. All of my research for the perfect kick toy payed off. It is available on amazon.com through target or directly through target.com(not in stores). But I did find it at Babiesrus on sale for 29.99 and then they had a $5 off coupon, so I lucked out and found it at the best price too. Oh yeah, I live in West Haven, born and raised. You just went to high school in westport? Only in CT for a short time? Where are you now?
Girls- I am super lucky insurance paid. We only had copays for visits and an out of pocket $500 charge for the unfreezing of sperm. The insurance pasi the rest of the $15,000. Thats why I feel like we almost have to try again since we have one more time paid for. I just have to figure out when.

I would definitly try again if insurance paid. I live in tx and insurance paid nothing. Well I take that back it paid for like 500 of the meds. We have like 10 or 11 frosties so we will prob go for one more in a year or so. I was looking at pictures and video and realized how grossly fat I got so I want to loose weight before starting over again. But I def want Parker to have a sibling. Well cute pictures everyone. Love em.
Is anyone doing any traveling? we are going to go on a 61/2-7 hour trip the first weekend in dec. That should be fun but the good thing is that we leave at night so hopefully he will sleep.

katie- we took a long trip before dh had to go back to work. Columbus day weekend was his last weekend home and ella was about 8 wks old. We drove during the day b/c I am a horrible night driver. A drive that is normally 6-7 hrs took us 8 with stopping for feedings. She did very well, slept a lot of the time and her schedule was a little out of whack for the weekend. I could also tell her behavior was a tiny bit different, a little crankier, not being at home. We were glad we did it though. It gave us confidence to know that we are not tied to our home, that we can do something like that. I will tell you one thing though, we packed like we were going on a two week vacation, the car was stuffed! We left on friday and came home monday, when we use to do that without the baby to visit my broi, we use to take one small bag, but not anymore I guess!

Ladies, any ideas on how to transition the girls from their car seats back to the crib? I am going to do Kenzie first since her reflux does not act up as much. I think I will start with naps during the day then move to at night? Brooke still has it bad so she needs to be propped up more. Poor baby.

Well ladies...my dreaded day has arrived. Today is my first day back to work. I have done very well but I am counting down the time till I can leave. I really miss my little girl but she is in good hands. My good friend is keeping her. When I got to work, she had already taken a picture of Aubrey and had sent an email on her behalf with the picture attached. It said...Hi Mom, I hope you have a good day at work..I miss you, Love Aubrey.... It was in my inbox when I got to work and about made me cry.
I do think that Aubrey knows that she is not at home. My sitter said that she seemed to be most content in her carseat but usually Aubrey hates her carseat. I wait till the last minute when going somewhere to put her in it because she usually cries. That makes me sad to think maybe she likes it because it's the only familiar thing around and she is soothed by it.
Cin sorry you had to go back to work already its hard to leave them especially for the first time and i'm sure Aubrey will be just fine as you said your sitter is your good friend whom i'm sure will let nothing bad happen to her and having worked in childcare before i know little ones generally settle shortly after you leave lucky to get out the driveway usually. she'll be just fine shes probably settle in her seat because she has new surroundings to check out.
Suga just persistance with the change over you could try chocking one end of the cot up so she still has the feeling of not laying completely flat and perhaps one of those wedges you put in bubs bed to keep that snug fit feeling of a car seat but other than that persistance from you goodluck
As for us still battleing colds we just can't seem to shake them it seems one gets over it and somebody gets it back and then vice versa and its not even winter here. and whats more unbeleivable ds tell me he wants more kids and here i am thinking that we were done so does anyone know how soon after a ceasar you can get pregnant again. i'll have to ring my clinic and sort a few things out man am i suprized i guess i wasn't expecting it because ds is driving me nuts with his two year old tantrums at the moment and it's a bit stressful.
Katie is getting bigger i weighed her last tuesday and she had already put on 1 kilo and 90 grams plus the ten percent she had lost were are looking in to possibly changeing her formula it's not consitpating her but she screams blue murder in pain when she has to go and can't and shes drinking less and less because she hasn't gone and for a normally non chucky baby she even chucks up a little more with all the straining iv'e had to have her on 30 mls of water and brown suga each day until she poops every second day atleast and then cut the suga amount down over the week to see whats happening the nurse is trying to decide if its the formula that needs changing or if something is going on with her insides i hope its sorted soon shes so unsettle thats her now best go
