KMHTTC - My best friend knows that we are doing IVF but no one else. My sister went through IVF and told everyone. It was SOOOO difficult for her to have everyone asking her all the time about what was going on and where she was at and why wasn't she pregnant yet? I haven't even told my family that DH and I have been TTC since we got married in 2006! They don't know a thing - and for a while, that was hard - but now, I'm just really happy that the only person I have to worry about is me.

Also, DH is from Germany - and this is definitely the sort of thing they keep private over there! I have to respect his wishes too, right!

My younger sister will be staying with my older sister when she is visiting - so that will provide us with some flexibility - but she is trying to plan every day of her visit and I just don't know what I'll be able to do! She is getting frustrated with my vague answers - but we'll get through it.

I updated the list with your new stim start day - you and I will be stimming at the same time. I start Sat as well.
me-35: FSH 6.3; AMH 0.3

Well that's good she's not staying with you... if she's trying to plan everyday of the visit jsut tell her work is really busy right now so you can't commit. But you'd love see her for lunch one day or something. it'll be a good visit anyhow!

not hopeless yet - Thx for your kind words of wisdom. If I stim for the same amount as last time (10 days) then I should have ER the day before she arrives. If I can have the ER before she is in town - I will feel so much better about the visit. Then, all I'll have to worry about is ET and I can just tell her (like you said) that work beckons.

sprouthaus - I would love to be added to your list. I'm supposed to start stims on 12/29. I get my calendar on Monday but right now that's what my RE is saying.

I can totally relate to the situation with your sister visiting. We sold our house finally and moved in with my sister last month (just temporarily). Nobody knows we are going through IVF.... I had my ER and ET while living there and it was sooo hard to hide it. I actually had to fake sick so I had an excuse to lay in bed a lot. The worst part is that my sister works with me and we leave the house at the same time but yet I get in 30 minutes later sometimes because I have to go for blood work and ultrasounds. I finally told her I had to go into the doctor certain mornings because they are monitoring my hormones because of the new medication I'm on for my endometriosis. So we've been doing a lot of lying and sneaking around unfortunately. I hate having it this way but the worst thing in the world for me would be for family members to ask me about it. Just hang in there. I know its terrible to lie but perhaps you can fake sick like I did.

I appreciate the tip about that yoga nidra! I'm definitely going to check it out. We will be moving into our house the week before my ER and ET....in which we'll be doing a lot of unpacking, painting, refinishing floors, etc... so keeping the stress down during all this may be a challenge. I'm also going to be doing acupuncture this time around. My first appointment is tomorrow. I'm really nervous about it!! Our doctor recommended it. We've read a lot about it so we figured we'd check it out and see if i find it useful or not.

Yes, ladies I know its tough to sneak around... believe me I tell my boss I have a ton of doctor appts they must think I'm really sick or something because I don't say what its for... but I'll tell you what's even harder than keeping it to yourself? Having to break the news to people you've told that you got a BFN :( That is the worse because you're already down in the dumps. So this cycle we're keeping quiet (except for my mom).

I can totally understand people who tell others in their life they are going through IVF - but not hopeless yet - you said it - telling people about the BFN would be too hard for me.

TKat - that is amazing that you lived with your sister and she never found out! Didn't you have to refrigerate any meds? My sisters are so nosy there is no way it would ever work for me. I hide my meds in tupperware just in case any of them should ever stop by - and I'm positive one day they'll stumble on something they shouldn't see....

It's funny because I don't have that many early morning meetings at work - but it seems like the few days I do have early meetings, I also have b/w u/s appts. I tell work that I have a Dr. appt - but never tell them why. A couple busy bodies try to get it out of me saying "you're too young for all these appts". But I just keep quiet. It is none of their business!

I'll add you to the list TKat! I have been getting acupuncture since my BFN on October 17. I LOVE it. My AP is one of the top AP fertility specialists in the midwest and she has co-written a fertility book that has a 12 week program for holistically increasing your fertility chances. I've been doing the yoga from the book (and the meditation) and I feel great! And last night, I fell asleep in my AP appointment - so it doesn't hurt or anything.

According to my AP, an egg develops for 90 days before it is mature....so the sooner you can start AP, the better. I've only been going for 7 weeks, but figure if this cycle is a BFN - I have a headstart for the next one :D

Hi everyone! My stimming is going slow and steady. I was going to have the ER tentatively on the 10th but I think it might be pushed back a few days but this was by my own doing DH has an important work obligation on the 10th so I asked my RE if we could try and avoid that day so he lowered my meds to slow me down a little bit.

Also for those of you who were wondering about ER I didnt have any pain the day of mine, maybe some slight cramping, but I def. went to work the next day....so don't be too nervous!!

Ann d, I will be at the RE at 6:50. Maybe I will run into you :-). Let us know how your appt goes.

JennJenn, the positive visualization is really helping me stay calm. I have decided that I am not going to hope I am pregnant this time around, I am going to assume I am. I think the saying on this board is PUPO - pregnant until proven otherwise. This is the attitude I plan on taking.

sprouthaus - sounds like you have a lot going on with your sister visiting. You need to think about what is good for you and your DH right now. So don't feel bad if you can't do everything. This is pretty important (not to mention expensive) stuff you are working on right now.

KMHTTC - YAY! Sounds like your cycle will be starting soon. Can't wait to hear how you progress. If you don't mind, what is the name of your IVF specific meditation CD? Where did you find it?

To everyone else, I have a really good feeling about this round for all of us. Keep the updates coming.

May i join your gals? I started stimulation Nov 29:

11/29 stim start
12/2: E2 323
12/3: E2 598

My E2 values are high, isn't it. i am going tomorrow morning for another B/W and U/S.

I already feel a lot of cramp and dull pain in the lower abs, and can sort of feel the two enlarged ovaries by touch... is this normal? how's everybody feeling?... my E/R is scheduled next Wed (12/10). with another week to go, how bad is this going to get... :( :( :(

I just wanted to say good luck to all you ladies! I've been reading your board for a little while, just haven't hopped on. I'm in a December IVF cycle and this is our first one. We had our ER yesterday. Just wanted to say I'm in a little discomfort from it but nothing to bad! Good luck everyone!!

awesome London I'm expecting AF in less than a week too! What stims will you be taking? I'm on Lupron right now and feeling a little crampy. On one hand the waiting to start stims seems like an eternity, on the other hand I can't believe my last BCP will be Sun. And then in less then 3 weeks I'll have ER. I have such positive vibes for us all this cycle!
