Sugar~ I'm a cold turkey girl! We went from pack-n-play to crib in one night after a couple days of napping in their room. Perhaps start that way for a few days. Naps in the crib, a few nights in the car seat, then BAM! My theory was this on the waking each other up. . . they have to share a room for a few years. . . get use to it! Am I a mean mommy or what?? It jsut worked for so I wasn't forced to look at other options. I always have the pack-n-play set up in the office in case I ever need it for my little man who is the one to get up early. He thinks 5:30 is a great time to get up but unfortunately it's 6:30-7:00 here before you can escape! Also, I don't know about your house but our living room magnified the cryiing noise the one and only night I ever tried it when we first came home. It was soo loud!!!! I was surprised too because there isn't an echo in the day but at night with everything all peacful it was rediculous!
You can leave the wedge above the sheet also. It will help with them not sliding down. The flannel material kind of grabs them. My babies slept flat on their back but I tried the wedge with Annelise when she had her bout of spitting up. The things we have for under the babies head are about 1"X 3" and they are cotton on top with a waterproof backing. You can buy them anywhere they sale baby items. I'll try find the name of them for you. I also use to just fold in half receiving blankets under her head to sleep on. Worked for me.
For sleeping, I would just put a pacifier in if they cried after a certain hour and they caught on really quick. If you give them nothing to wake up to they catch on fast! Diane had some really great tips if you ever see her on here again because she just forced her twins into the routine as well. It worked for her early too. Kim's babies were also great at sleeping thru the night early. Mine took a few weeks longer but went straight to 10-12 hours a night. YEAH!!!
Kim~ We are lucky to have so many free things here for sure. We have a science center here too and it's toddler week this next few weeks so yeah for us. Dumb question but what does kwim mean? HAd to ask!

As for story hour. . . mine NEVER sit the entire time. Rarely do they do that. I am usually locating one while the other runs off BUT they do love it. I just do what I have to to get them out and I figure other mothers will understand. Last week one of the books was a touch and feel book so my children thought every book was the same and ran up to feel every page of every book. What a patient woman she was!

Today was a downer for myself. Car is in the shop. . .VERY expensive to fix!!!!! I want to cry because my warranty won't cover much of it and I haven't worked in 17 months. I just hate to pile up bills for dh! Although DH could be sold on e-bay this week for any resonable offer. Just one of those weeks where nothing is seeming to go your way! Thank goodness for silly babies to make me laugh!
I have my NST test tomorrow. Hopefully they can see what I am having. Wishful thinking but it would be a nice cake topper to my week.

Have a great night everyone!
Kimberly
