Hi all -

Well tomorrow is my last day of work!!! Its kinda of bitter sweet. I am excited to be at home but nervous as to what am I going to do at home. does that make sense.

I know that after the holidays are over my mom and I are going to take count of all the baby stuff and start returning some stuff we got to much of and buying the stuff we needed and didnt get.

Things aremoving along with the preg. I am 32 weeks this week and had my first bout of BH's over the weekend. To much wii I think. But it was bad and DH wsa so cute. He had the keys and bag in hand and I told him to just relax that its OK he didnt believe me but he calmed down after a while. Boy it was bad though it was like every five min.'s for a good 15.

Any ways I read everyones posts everyday and I love to hear about everything. Sounds like everyone is doing well and I hope you all have a wonderful holiday. For me we have 6 six weeks left and counting!!! So excited.

Talk to you soon

Genessa - 6 weeks! Oh my goodness! Glad to hear you have plans to take it easy for a while and get organized!

Quick update - I had my dr. appt today - 28 weeks. My GTT came back negative so I don't have to take the 3-hour test! YAHOO!! I was so relieved. She said I am just a little under the normal level for iron, so she'll have me start a supplement (anyone getting constipated with the iron supplement? She mentioned that might happen.) Everything else checked out well. I've gained 17 pounds, BP's great, and fundal height was 28 cm. Went and got fitted for a bra today, though, and found out I went from a 36C to a 40C! Wow! Anyway - hope all is going well for all of you. DH and I will be traveling for the next few weeks (MN tomorrow through Sun, NJ Wed through Sunday, then MN again Thursday through Sun!) and have our showers scheduled for the 10th and 18th. Not sure I'll be posting until mid-January...but thinking of you all and wishing everyone a very safe and happy holiday!!

Hugs,
Jen

Hey Ladies!

I can't believe it is the week of Xmas! Things have been flying by! I am now over 31 weeks and starting to feel a little uncomfortable some days. When Jackson is very low he sits on my pelvic bone and walking hurts a little. I haven't had any BH that I'm aware of......has anyone else not had them??? I have my appt tomorrow so I'll say something then. DH and I went to our childbirthing class last weekend. It was good, but I did know most of it. I am finally getting over my cold! I'm so sick of now being able to breath!!!!!!! We also took back the stuff we didn't need today. We got the travel system and a few other things we needed. We only had to spend $250 out of pocket! So thats not too bad! We are totally set! Now just waiting. less than 9 weeks and counting!

Gennessa-- do you have a scheduled C section? Did I miss that? You said 6 weeks? right? You are lucky that you are done work. I'm working til the end.....hope I make it!

Hope everyone is doing well! Happy Holidays!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Neffi - I don't think most women get BH's until maybe around 37/38 weeks, so I wouldn't worry if you're not having them.Great news on not having to spend too much on baby stuff, that's awesome.

Adsgirl - Congrats on the GTT and the 17lbs, that's really good! I've gained 24 so far, hoping not to go over 35 in total. My OB doesn't have me down for that much, but she's just been tracking since my 9 week appt and I've been tracking since the ET :) I haven't gone to get a new bra yet, but mine are definitely not fitting properly these days. I'm trying to hold out until I go get the nursing bras, so we'll see if I can make it.

Gennessa - Congrats on being done with work, I'm sure you'll find something to do :) I'm off for 3 weeks during the holidays and so darn ready for the 3 months I'll have off soon. I do understand what you're saying though, I'm just busy now because of the holidays. You're cracking me up with too much wii, sounds like fun. DH and I were addicted last year to rock band, so I completely understand.

ftg - Glad to hear your last u/s went well and he's growing nice and strong.

Jude - Wow, you're measuring pretty far along these days :) I've been measuring about 4 weeks ahead the entire time, but goodness you're on your way!

Not much going on here, just getting ready for both our families to arrive tomorow for the holidays. Everyone will be staying with us, so we'll have a jam packed house. We had an u/s this morning and she's just absolutely beautiful! She's about 3lbs 6oz so far, so looks like she's in the 75% as of now...kinda of a chunk :) It was wonderful to see her again and I think we'll have one more u/s at week 36, can't wait.

Wishing everyone a very wonderful holiday and safe travels!

hopefulinillinois,

May I ask why your ob thinks that scheduled C-Sec is the way to go? Did I miss anything about your pg process? I was told that I could have scheduled a c-sec at 32 week's check - he was measured 3 weeks ahead of time. But at 34 week's check, my ob told me that he was back to normal size - I did not gain any weight in the last two weeks and the baby did not seem to grow at all. Thanks for answering.

Everyone else here, hang in there, we are almost there!

I had a previous c-section 17 years ago. My dr. decided that since my labor lasted 4 days with the outcome of an emergency c-section we would not go that route this time. I'm thankful for that however there is a part of me that would rather go the natural route. 17 years is a LONG time between babies. But I've decided to leave it to the professional and do what is best for us. As of Monday , baby Madison was measuring at 36 weeks. Dr. says she's in the 68%. She's going to be a chubby baby! He will be delivering at 39 weeks. WHOOHOOOO!!!!

Hope everyone has a safe and wonderful New Year! Hugs to all of the upcoming babies!

Hello Ladies! It's been a very long time since I last posted....around Jul or Aug. But, I read everyone's posts regularly.

It's good to see that everyone is doing well and preparing for their new arrivals. I can't believe how quickly time is winding down. My pregnancy is certainly flying by fast. As for my progress, everything is moving along nicely. We're having a girl....I've had the Nuchal Translucency test, a sequential, the glucose test, my OB appts are every other week, and I get a non-stress test once a week to check the baby's heartbeat (which they do at my OB appts anyway) and to check for contractions. My job gave me a babyshower earlier this month and my best friend is planning a 'surprise' shower, which should be coming up soon. We finished the nursery...we painted, put up the border, and bought all of the furniture. As of 2 weeks ago, I'd gained a total of 19 pounds. As for my symptoms, I'm swollen all over  , my back, pelvis, knuckles, feet, and the rest of my joints ache, I can't get comfortable whether I'm sitting or laying down, I get exhausted easily, quickly winded, and some days I feel like doing absolutely NOTHING. Oh, and I've had nasal congestion since the end of my second trimester. That's about it in a nutshell.

I want to wish everyone a happy and prosperous New Year. And I'll keep checking in to see how everyone's doing.

hopefulinillinois,

Thanks for answering. I had an emergency c-sec 36h after water broke and 24 h active labor (induced with pictocin) two years ago as well but my RE said they encourage people to try VBAC. I am debating right now but I am too thinking to leave it to the professional.

Take care everyone here!

Happy New Year's all! Hope everyone is hanging in there. For me it is a mix of it's too soon, and not soon enough.

All is good here. I am 35 weeks tomorrow and doc says we can go anytime. I have a scheduled c sec on 1/22, but my guess is I will go closer to the 15th. I am pretty darn uncomfortable now. I have one girl riding high and kicking me in the ribs and the other snuggled into my bladder and resting on my pubic bone. Yowsa! They are measuring about 4.5 pounds each, so there is 9 pounds of baby in there with 2/3 weeks to go. Let's just say I am loving my recliner these days.

I have been getting BH for about a month now. My doc said to get a huge glass of water and lay down which works. She said if they continue after that then you should call in.

I'll keep you gals posted. Stay healthy and happy!

Rubylee - I'm sorry to hear you're uncomfortable but glad to hear the girls are doing great and getting ready to join you and DH :)

I have one more week off of work (took 3 during the holidays), so I've been loving it! I'm definitely not looking forward to going back, but just a couple more months and then I'll be off for 3 months. I'm having my first and only shower this upcoming Saturday, so looking forward to that as well. We're expecting around 50-60 people, so I hope they all fit and have a good time. I told the hostesses that there must be some alcohol for the girls, only seems fair since they're bringing us gifts :)

Well I hope everyone is doing great and is enjoying 2009 so far!

Hello ladies,
Not a whole lot to report here, so happy new year! We get to finally meet our little ones soon, and I'm sure many feel very much in the home stretch. We are 4 wks away tomorrow from meeting our boy, and we are very excited. My c-sect is scheduled for Feb 4 - 8am. My DH thinks he will be 7.12lbs, for whatever reason I have it in my head 8.9lbs...we'll see!

I can still swim, do some stretches and weights, but am slowing down considerably. I'm also really close to the steering wheel so am barely driving. I've kept my frequent right nostril nosebleed, but didn't get the vericose veins or hemorrhoids. No swelling thus far.

Hang in there everyone, and get as comfortable as you can as the days & weeks are flying...

hello all!!! sorry i have been mia, but it is very hard to type while laying on my left side, it causes my hand to swell so i have stayed away from journaling, but i have been reading all your entries daily.

i am still on bedrest, but no changes in my cervix so that is good. the contractions seem to be coming on more frequent and a little more intense. i was in labor & delivery on new years eve.new years day with iv's trying to stop the contractions. it worked, so thats good. i go back to the dr on the 12th and if still no changes i may be released from bedrest at 34 weeks. i have so much to get done before gracie arrives. dh has the furniture stained and this weekend will work on varnishing them. once i am able i have to start washing everything. gracie just needs to stay in until at least 36-37 weeks, so keep your fingers crossed!!!
i dont feel much kicks or punches anymore, just more wiggles and stretching. my last u/s she was head down and boy does she love to headbutt me in the bladder.

glad everyone is going well!!!

ya'll need to start posting pictures of the nurseries!!! i wont be able to post gracies room for at least another 3-4 weeks, but i do have everything for the room and her, just need to put it all together, i cant wait!!
