Hi ladies. Just checking in. I went to see the new baby today and I was fine. It was fine, no hysterics, nothing great but nothing bad. I did have a hard time as soon as we left though which was odd. Very moody and wht not. I just felt sad like will I ever have that and then I felt so selfish for thinking it....and well my dh.....he is already annoyed at the whole thing. Trying to be understanding but , well he is a man.

Hope you are all well this weekend.

Hi Renee wow it must of been hard for you yesterday, don't feel selfish perfectly natural reaction, had it myself on thursday when I was at a fostering support group I attend, fortunately this week there was only one baby there who the foster carer very discretely kept out of my way without me even knowing until I was ready to look at her. Couldn't hold her this time as last time I held her I was looking at her thinking OMG next year I will have my own baby to hold. Sending you hopefully a hug below Miracle posted me tell ing me how to do it so have given it a go!! Thinking of you.

Hi Ladies

You know I told you the story about the roses well I took a picture of them and I think I sussed out how to put them on her, sorry if they take up tons of space but I wanted to share my miracle with you,

Image

I cut them and brought them in the red rose was starting to go black in the ice. The pink rose is off a tree I bought for one of our previous foster children in memory of his mum who died, we keep it for him for now, she died in the month of december.

ooooops sorry it did take up lots of space I don't know how to make it smaller,

Carolyn we are supposed to only have 2 foster children at a time but do occasionally have more children when they come into care on an emergency, we do respite placements as well which is just having them for short breaks, most of the children we have on respite are disabled children who we have to give their amazing parents a rest, and the children who live with us are not disabled but do have emotional issues due to reasons they are in care. We tend to be short term carers working to get children back home to their birth families so we work with the parents a lot which can be hard especially going through IVF after IVF, but I have learnt to completely seperate my feelings regarding having my own child and the life I would wish for him or her and the feelings I sometimes have about the parents I work with or I could not carry on fostering and I do love what I do. We also move children on to adoption and that bit I love I just never thought I may be on the other side and be the adopter which now could be a possibility!
Anyway hope your week at work next week is much better than friday, Only 4 more days to go and your off to prague! Will you have access to a pc over there or will we all have to bite our nails untill you get back to hear any news??

Hi Becky, I know we have only posted to each other a couple of times but it was nice to read your post, thankyou for starting this thread!! YOUR ladies have made me very welcome.

Hello to everyone else, due to being up very early this morning not by my own choice I might add! I have played on the photobucket with results as you can see!!

Check in later xxxxxxxxxx

Wow lee - no stopping you now with the poictures .. the roses look just beautiful and am sure they are a sign xxx

Renee - glad you had the strenght to get through visit to friends .. I think sometimes it is easier to compose yourself in front of others and then when you know you can release the feelings the floodgates open .. hugs honey ((()))

Mir - hope you had a peaceful weekend with Dh away xx

Ang - Happy birthday honuey ... hope you got lots of nice presewnts and your 8-10""

Angel - must be busy packing for going to exotic location

Becky - Hugs for you and Brian ((())) xx

Had a crappy weekend .. builders were meant to be starting on our extension tom .. got a call sat morning to say that one of the partners (2 friends DH knows one relly well through diving) had gone missing and police were looking for him .. basically he lost the plot and was suicidal .. let his side of business which was domestic building go to pot .. so no extension happening any time soon .. not sure where we go from here as I was concerended about laying out all the money in current economic climate and not knowing how much more we need for IVF ... so guess will just hang fire at moment ...

We had just finished that conversation when friend of family called ..(well ex husbands best friends dad) like second family to me still to say wife had been rushed into hospital .. has been bleeding vaginally for about 10 ays and still investigating .. so have spent last 2 days back and forth to hospital and looking after dad .. sadly there son comitted suicide 10 years ago so they look upon me as a daughter and love DH .. upshot is she has a polyp and growth on baldder which appears to be cancerous .. so not looking good .. doing more investigations tomorrow ...

and then to top it all off my car has broken down .. thank god its a company one so got to stay at home tomorrow until they sort me a hire car out of fix it

What a weekend !!!!

So ladies will be around tomorrow to harrass and annoy you all !!

love ya all

Carolyn what a horrid weekend, that must be why your car has broken down to give you a day at home to sort things out in your mind, eveything happens for a reason thats my philosophy although I don't like my philosophy when things are not going the way I want them to!! So has your car been fixed, sorry to hear about your friend, heres hoping everything can be sorted out for her. So have you had to work from home today or do you have a nice day off in front of your fire??

Much quieter on here today, how was your weekend quietly at home miracle? Did you sit in front of the TV all weekend? Will post you about posting the photos was easy!! Just don't know how to make it smaller,

So come on Angie tell all about your birthday weekend. :D

Have a nice holiday Angel if I am not back on here before you go, very jealous I am sat here looking at the pouring rain at least its a bit warmer now.

Hi Renee and Becky.

Oh well best be off to do some work,

Take care
Lee xx
