Good morning ladies,
Well I thought I'd begin the day by making a little confession... I go both ways!

I'm not just a dog lover, but a cat lover as well! And yesterday, as I was showing one of the best funny cat videos ever, I thought I'd share it with you! I hope it makes you start your day with a laugh!

make sure you watch them with the music, it's worth it!
Okay, glad to see you guys are still alive! The board was soooo quiet yesterday!
Carolyn, Miracle, and Lee, thanks for sharing your concern about the spa! you guys are so sweet! But don't worry, I am careful. Before I book anything, I'll call the spa and ask them if someone there has special training in pregnant women. I know it takes special training to massage a pregnant woman the right way no matter how far along she is, and I also know that some essential oils are to be avoided, as well as hot baths. I just hope someone is competent, because I'd really like a nice massage and an exfoliation... Then I'd be all relaxed and soft all over for my little hubby-bubby!
Hey Angie! Great to see you girl! I hear you on the cold! Geez, it's -32Celsius here this morning, and the cold weather will stay until Saturday! Apparently, we are currently getting a drift of cold air directly from the North Pole! It figures! Don't you stick your naughty tongue anywhere outside, you bad girl!
Carolyn,
WHOA! You're quite the sports lady!!! What is a killer wave machine?? Geez, I did a new Pilates routine on Friday and it took me three days to recover! My arms and legs are just soooo out of shape! Need to fix that!
Renee,
I'm glad your apt went well; it makes ALL the difference in the world when you spend time with an empathic nurse who knows how to behave and what to say. The tales I,ve heard here and experienced personally... sheesh! I'm really glad that you're beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. And as for the bris, it just shows that you can respect your limits, which is primordial. Hey, no one asks you to attend everything just after you've lost a baby. What's going on with your friend? I agree with the others, it's important for you to surround yourself with people who nurture you, not people who drain your energy. You really have to put yourself first right now.
Lee,
Hi there, it's great to see you!

How are you doing? What kind of week are you having? To answer your question, I'll be away from the 28th to the 30th. The hospital's research center invited all the researchers to an annual getaway, all expenses paid. I'm going there with a colleague and we're already all excited about that little holiday. I'm sure it will be fun! Plus I'll be paid, because it's a work-related convention!

Life is sweet! And about the warning, well... I've had a really bad experience last fall. To make a long story short, I joined this thread as I was attempting my 4th attempt, and it really clicked with the ladies. Then I got my BFP and I wasn't sure at all that I still belonged here. The ladies told me to stay, and some of them asked happily a lot of questions about my pregnancy. So I thought it was okay to discuss it, nobody seemed to mind. A couple of weeks later, someone who almost never posts but reads often posted a message in which she commented that reading about pregnancy-related stuff, or babies (some of the ladies here are also mommies and they sometimes talk about it), especially without a clear warning, made her uncomfortable and she wasn't sure she wanted to keep posting here. I've learned from the experience. That's why I try not to discuss my pregnancy too much, or do it in pms, and that's also why I won't post baby-related pics, only links. When questions are asked, I answer them in personals, not in the general part of my posts. That way, I don't impose that kind of stuff on women who might be uncomfortable with this but don't necessarily say it out loud. I know there were times when I was struggling with my own situation and baby or pregnancy-related posts/pics on this side of the forum grated on my nerves, so I understand. I started a May moms thread on the other side, but it went really bad and I really prefer posting here, among friends who understand and support me like no others. Oh, and about the blanket, you're absolutely right. It won't matter that it took 2 days... it's just my perfectionnist side that's rearing its ugly head... I thought I'd get it right the first time, and fast!
Miracle,
SO glad that yesterday wasn,t so bad, and that it ended with a nice program for you to watch with hubby!

At the risk of turning some people against me (lol), I was disappointed because American Idol replaced the House episode they were supposed to air yesterday! Bummer!
Becky sweetie, thinking of you every time I come here. Still sending you lots of loving and positive waves! *HUGS*
As for me, yesterday was SUPER DUPER EXCITING!

My grandparents gave me a money gift (they do that every year since forever) and I chose to spend it on Amazon... bought myself a nice DVD, and several cookbooks... Vegan desserts, the uncheese cookbook (make your own cheese without dairy, the reviews are amazing), 30-minutes vegetarian meals and Venturesome vegetarian cooking (from an author I trust). Geez, I feel asleep too early yesterday and I didn't have time to explore the books enough!

I wanted to bring them with me today, but that would have been ridiculous, with my purse and lunchbox and all... lol! So I'll have to wait until tonight!!! But oooooooh wait until I make next week's menu!!! Weeeeeeee!
Okay ladies, time to work a little... I don't know if you've ever proof-read an article written in English by a Dutch... but GEEZ, it's painful!
Take care,
Sophie xxox
