Hi everyone!
Little Madison gets the hiccups all the time! It seems that when I'm at the dr's having my NST she gets them the worst. It's great to hear on the monitor! My dr. says it's normal for her to get them and she's practicing her "breathing".

Potocin- I have nothing nice to say about this drug. Everyone responds to it differently. I also had it 17 years ago so I'm sure things have changed ALOT and the dr's monitor everything alot closer now. I had both potocin and cervadil (I think that's how you spell it) and man oh man they had to tie me down because of how quickly and how strong my contractions were. Alot of my friends have had it and have no problems. Listen to your dr. He'll know what's best for you! :D

Is anyone freaking out? I feel like I still have a million things to do and only 21 days to do them!!!! February 5th is coming alot faster than I anticipated! Just curious if anyone else is having the "OMG" feeling happening to them!

And last but not least....HOW DO YOU GET COMFORTABLE SLEEPING???? I am no longer sleeping at night. I toss and turn all night because my hips hurt. I feel like I've tried everything and nothing is working. I've started falling asleep mid day while sitting on the couch because I'm overly exhausted. If anyone has any suggestions PLEASE pass them along!

Take care everyone.....I'll be checking on everyone's progress!
ER- 5/21 ET- 5/24

Ruby-you are so close just hang in there. Its so awesome I hope we get to hear your news as soon as you are able to get on and share!

neffi-6 wks will fly for you too. Glad to hear all is going well. Going out for a date is a great way to celebrate all that is going on, and all that will change.

hopeful-I hear you on hiccups and they only seem to get stronger. I'm a day before you so I'm excited for the next 3 wks. I guess because I'm home I don't have the OMG feeling, but believe me you are not alone as I still have things to finish. My sleeping is much the same. I sleep for a while, but then wake. I do make up for it during the day sometimes, and when your body needs it, its hard to say no. Just take it easy where you can, make lists, breathe, and know you'll get everything accomplished you want to. Just make sure to pack that bag soon! :)

Hi ladies, it looks like everyone is just about ready for D-Day :) I'm getting pretty nervous myself, but figure that's normal and part of the process. We had our shower last weekend and all the gifts seem to make it that much more real. Our birthing class also seemed to do the trick, my goodness the videos were a little much for me :)

Our little girl has the hiccups several times a day, which gets to me just as much as when I have them myself :) They seem to last for several minutes, but I do hear it's normal.

We had an OB visit today and they did a fetal stress test, since she didn't seem to be moving as much yesterday as normal. Everything looked great, so no problems. My feet also started to swell yesterday, as well as my hands at night, so I'm trying to come home from work and prop my legs up and relax. I'm still working 5 days a week, but I have a feeling I'm going to do more working from home and part time at the office. I just started feeling exhausted a couple of days ago, so figure this may be how things are for the next 7 or so weeks.

Other than that we're just trying to get everything ready. Nursery is almost done, clothes will be washed and put away this weekend, and hopefully I'll get to the baseboards sometime in the next couple of weeks :)

Good luck to everyone that is just days/couple weeks away, what an exciting time!

Hi ladies! My goodness...some of you are getting REALLY close! It is so so exciting!

Things are going okay on my end. We had our showers the last two weekends...it was great feeling like we're finally getting ready for baby! We got a ton of stuff...still need to buy mattress pads, changing pad, changing pad cover, monitor, crib sheets and a few other things...but we have almost everything we need! It helped that my sister-in-law gave me two big boxes full of 0-3 month girl clothes from her two daughters! After the baby comes, she's going to drive down for a visit and bring the 3-6 month boxes. :D

Unfortunately, I found out last Thursday that my job is being eliminated. I am completely stressed and have been an absolute mess since the announcement was made. I always have a plan...and I had so much mapped out for after the baby comes, and now my world has been turned upside down. I just don't know for sure what we'll do, since we can't really afford to live on DH's salary alone right now...and we don't have an emergency fund. Ugh. It's not exactly an ideal time for me to be interviewing!

Anyway - just wanted to say hello and let you all know I'm thinking of you and hoping for the best for each of you...can't wait to start seeing those announcements coming through!

Just wanted to let you know the girls are still hanging in there. Looks like I might make it to my scheduled c-section on Thursday. THIS THURSDAY!! as in 3 days!! What the? I can hardly stand myself. I am so excited to lay my eyes on these girls. I will post when I get out of the hospital on Monday or Tuesday and let you know how it went.

Neffi - I have had the carpel tunnel thing going too. I have two fingers on my right hand that are constantly numb and if I use my arms at all, like eat even, the whole thing starts falling asleep. Weird preggo side affect.

Hopeful - There is no getting comfortable anymore. And I am here to tell you it gets worse. I pretty much see every hour at nights between moving to a new position and getting up to pee. It is a cruel joke.

Ads - So sorry about your job. What a crappy time it is right now. Did they give you enough severance to make it through a maternity leave? I know easier said than done (I had to close my store in October) but try to put it out of your mind and stay balanced for your little one. All the other stuff will fall into place. I have had to call my creditors and tell them about my situation. Some of them have put my on lowered payments/interest rates and even pregnancy deferment for a couple of months. I unfortunately have some debt from the store, don't know if you are lucky enough not to have much but if so but maybe that could work for you?

Take is easy moms to be and here's to smooth deliveries for all of us!

angram - hang in there as the fruits of everything will be realized very, very soon!

Rubylee - how exciting! We will wait for your good news post, and I'm hoping you the best with your delivery, and joy in seeing your little hard-fought for babes for the first time! 2 wks and 2 days for us and it is flying by...

Hi Rubylee,

Good luck on your coming birth of twins! Please update with pictures as soon as you could.

Adsgirl,

Sorry for the job situation. I agree with Rubylee, put it on hold until you are done with maternity leave. I am so happy that you got so much stuff at your baby showers. I am sure your little one will cheer you up once she gets here.

I will be in hospital next Wed (39 weeks) for possible c-sec because the baby is transverse. Our ob will try an external cephalic version first and see whether we can have him out vaginally. We may also see a chiropractor to align the baby first if we can get to it before next Wed. Time is running out!

Good luck, everyone!

children - good luck to you! All I have ever heard about inversion is that it is really painful, however have known some women to try differing poses and stretches to see if they can't help them move around themselves. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. No matter how this little one is delivered we're hoping all goes as smoothly as possible and you get to see that little face soon. Please post whenever you are able and we wish you the best!

ftg,

Thanks for your kind words. I also tried poses and stretches to turn the baby, I also tried to put the headphone at pubic bones to attract him down...my problem is I don't really know how to tell whether he has turned, he moves a lot and how can anyone knows which position the baby is? His feet is always kicking my left ribs and my ob told me that he was heads down at 36 weeks, I felt his moving pattern is exactly the same at 37 weeks but the U/S revealed a transverse lie! I am totally confused now...

Will keep you updated and good luck to you too!

:D :D :D
Just wanted to post and say to Rubylee, good luck on Thursday!!! Wow! I am looking forward to hearing how beautiful your little girls are.
Children - I hope you get to try a vaginal delivery - just keep trying to get her turned around, and I hope the version works for you. Let us know.

Ads - glad you had your showers and got most all you needed, that's great!
I'm sorry re your job too - I know how you feel. Mine is also changing once I go on leave - I get the 6-8 weeks short term disability and then will have to find a different job afterwards. I have interviewed with one company and feel that they are looking at me as somewhat desperate due to the ginormous bump and impending changes! I have to remind myself that once I go back to work I will be like the thousands of other working mums that manage perfectly well. Good luck and I hope you get something sorted soon.

I can't believe still that this is completely real. Hopeful I'm with you on feeling like we are running out of time.
Tomorrow we have the breastfeeding class - and OMG yesterday I found colustrum leaking from my bbs!!!!!! That made it seem much closer!

Thanks for all the thoughts on the pitocin - nice to get some more input on this. I forgot to ask my OB at the appt. on his thoughts on induction vs csection.....duh!

Neffi - are you using wrist splints at night for the carpel tunnel??? I am a physical therapist, and this is what we recommend and although it doesn't get rid of it completely it really helps most cases - you can get the splints in walgreens/walmart - the solid wrist support for the underside of your hand/wrist/lower forearm, and then a velcro wrap around the top to secure it in place...

take care all and I'm thinking of you all :D

children - Good luck with getting him turned properly, but either way I'll be thinking about you next week and looking forward to hearing wonderful strories about your new baby :)

Rubylee - I cannot believe it's already this week, my goodness time has flown! This is so exciting, you're the first in our group to deliver and it's just wonderful. I cannot wait to hear how beautiful the girls are next week!!

AdsGirl - That totally sucks about your job situation, but I agree with others to try and relax a little, enjoy the last weeks of pregnancy, and then bring that beautiful bundle of joy home :)

I'm doing great and counting down the weeks. Trying to buy the last minute items (that I'm aware of at least :)) and my Mom is coming out in a couple of weeks to help finalize everything before delivery. Our little girl is on the move constantly, so much that her feet in my ribs wakes me up from a dead sleep. We're so looking forward to meeting her and seeing her beautiful face!!

Take care everyone, we're on the home stretch.

rubylee- GOOD LUCK on thursday!!! i cant wait to hear how everything went and how big they are and how cute they are. WOW, you re the first of us to have their baby(s). It seems so crazt that not long ago we were stressing about E2 levels and # of follies.

children- i hope all goes well next week and your little one can turn vertex.

adsgirl- sorry about your job. that sucks!! i went through this a few months ago, but i am going to suck it up and claim unemployment until Aug so I can enjoy our new little girl. once you think about the cost of gas, day care and the extra expenses, u/e pay is not that bad. hope it all works out.

jude- congrats on the leaking :P i inspect mine daily hoping i see something, but nothing so far.

angram- its so nice that your mom is coming to help get things finalized.

neffi- the brace did wonders for me!! i was so shocked.

well, i go to the dr on thurs hopeing that dr tells me at 35 weeks i am free of bedrest. although i will still take it easy because i have so much that needs to be done, she needs to cook for the full 5 weeks. dh almost has my bag packed and i am going to try and talk him into installing the car seat this weekend. once i am able, i am going to start washing/sterilizing and putting things together. i am so excited to meet our baby girl, but i need all my weeks to prepare for her.

well off to eat pasta so i can tortue myself with acid reflux and heartburn this evening

can wait for all the birth news to start rolling in!!!

HeY Ladies!

I cant believe we are going to be posting our births soon! I am getting a little nervous about delivery, but I'm sure I will be fine. My little on eis still moving alot, but more shifting than kicking. And oh the hiccups at least 3 times a day. I still have had no BH, so I dont know if I'm going to get them or not, or at least feel them.

Thanks for the advice on the carpal tunnel......unfortunetly I am way past these things for relief. I am a dental hygienist and my right hand is numb all of the time now. I have been wearing braces for at least six weeks. My left comes and goes at work, but is awful at night. I have to sleep at a least a 45 degree angle or my hands throb with pain. I ice them at night and just hope that I will make it through my next day at work. I think I just have to suck it up and hope that it goes away after the baby. It is definetly the worst past of my entire pregnancy, but I guess it could be something way worse.

Hope you all have a good week

Hi Ladies! I just wanted to wish everyone a great delivery. It's hard to believe we're coming to the end of our pregnancies and will be seeing our bundle(s) of joy very soon. I too, like many of you, am feeling like 'OMG'. But, deep down, I know that everything will be fine and well worth it.
