HI Everyone

I haven't posted for a long time but I have been reading up on everyone. Since we are getting so close I wanted to stop in and give my well wishes to everyone!

Rubylee, good luck tomorrow. I can't believe someone will be having their little one.

To everyone else hope you are doing well in these last few weeks. Seems like we all doing about the same things like trying to get the room ready, streesing over delivery and so on.

As for me, My FIL passed away on the 10th from Pancreatic cancer which is the main reason I haven't posted in months. My DH is pretty devastated that our baby girl won't get to meet her only grandpa. But we are trying to keep our heads up cause this baby is coming in 6 weeks whether we are ready or not. And right now we are not!!!

This week I am going to try and get the baby's room washed up and ready to paint. I get to have my first shower on the 31st. Then one every Saturday until Feb 21st! Which is cutting it really close for me.

I hope everyone has a great week and I can't wait to hear about everyone's miracle. Good luck ladies!!!!

OMG! I went to see the OB today for my Strep B test and found out that my cervix has already dilated 2-3 cm. I'm not due until Feb 16th, but the doc doesn't think I'll make it 'til then. I'm REALLY getting nervous now. Has anyone else dilated? I just don't want everything to happen so fast that I can't get pain meds during labor.
Me - 38, DH - 40 (male factor)
1st IVF - 1/08 - BFN
2nd IVF - 3/08 - BFN
3rd IVF -5/08- BFP - THANK YOU GOD!!!

Dakota - keep taking it easy, and move at your own pace. Now you are in the final stretch!

Neffi - don't worry if you don't get BH contractions. I think you'll know when you get them but if you don't there is no worry. So glad all is going well for you now and good luck with your hand!

Tarabel - I'm so sorry to hear of your FIL's news. I'm sorry you can't have that grandpa figure there. I will be telling our son about his great grandparents and what wonderful people they are. My friend also passed away at 37 accidentally almost 3 yrs ago, and I am going to make sure he knows about her and what a lovely human she was to us. Keep up your good spirits.

Genessa - so close you are and what a great ride, I totally agree. This has been quite the experience for all of us!

IMblessed - that's so exciting you are dilating! They come when they are ready to come, and I hope it doesn't cause you too much worry. I am sure you will be fine, and just take it easy wherever you can. Hang in there; maybe talk to your little one to coax them to stay in there for a while :)

My group B strep test came back positive. I asked how it was that it gets there, and my OB said its pretty inconclusive. Being that I'm c-sect she didn't have any worries. I'm allergic to a lot of antibiotics (some almost toxically so) so am glad I don't have to take any. I swam for the last time today and was out of breath pretty quickly. I stopped doing weights a couple of wks ago, and figure I did all I could for our little guy. I hope I can snap back into motion when I get real sleep and have the energy for it

Can't wait to hear everyone's great news. All of us have gone really far on this journey together, and I've really enjoyed posting our progress and queries to each other through this time. 2 wks from yesterday we will meet our little man, unless of course he feels like visiting early...

Hi all,

A quick update, our baby decided to turn back to head down, so I may not need to go to L&D at 39 weeks now. My ob may agree a VBAC for us.

ftg,

I have been swimming once a week and will go this coming Sat. I think I won't stop until going to labor...I am not out of breath but sometimes I do feel my movements give more pressure at the bottom of the expanding uterus.

IMBlessed,

I also had minor dilation since 36 weeks in both of my pgs, but it was only 1~2 cm and it did/does not progress at all upto 39 weeks. This time, my baby still at hi position not engaged yet. Did your dr. measure your cervix length? If it is still long, you will be ok. But in any case, you are very close to full term, hang in there, try to relax, your baby knows when the best time is...

Rubylee,

Thinking of you...

Dakota, angram, jude7702,Neffi211, Tarabeltwo, and all others lurking here, thanks to all of your well wishes and good luck to all of us!

Hi All!!

My dr apt went well, I am 1.5cm and still slightly thinning, but I have a decent amount of cervix left. I started at 4.5cm in length and I am at 3cm in length. Gracie Lynn is now engaged!!!! I have felt some different things starting abour 3 days ago that made me think she was so it was confirmed today. Starting Sat when I hit 35 weeks I can start adding things back in my daily routine and the day I hit 36 weeks I am completely off bed rest...wwwhhhooooohhhoooo!!!! The bad thing is I am at the point I am too tired to do anything and I have so much pressure that being up for over 30 mins gets the best of me. I get my strep B and GBS (?) on Friday next week, of course my dr office has 5 women and 1
man, so the day I have to have my butt swabed I get the male dr!!

rubylee- I've been think about you today and your little girls, I am so excited to hear about everything.

neffi- the last time i was monitored, I was having contractions every 8 mins and I couldnt feel them. Now, sometimes when I get BH I dont feel them but the only reason why I know I am getting them is I get restricted breath, so I'll feel my belly and sure enough, I am having BH. also, some women will go the entire pregnancy without getting any.

Tara- sorry to hear about FIL. I am sure you and DH will do a great job letting your lo know who grandpa was.
Enjoy all your showers, I hope you get lots of goodies.

Genn- looks like you'll be #2 for delivery!! I wish I knew how to post pictures, I would love to see the baby boys room.

Imblessed-, wow, you are on your way. get that baby stuff done!!

children- thats great that baby turned!!

ftg- so what do they do about the +strep b?

Hope all is well...I am getting so excited for all of us. I's say I was so excited I could pee my pants, but I do that all the time now anyway.

children - that's awesome your baby moved; now let's hope they can stay that way! My boy was transverse last night, and boy I sure know when he moves that way-ouch! I'm also glad you can keep swimming. It feels so good to feel weightless even if only for a small amount of time :) When I get out of the pool I always felt so heavy.

Dakota - that's so exciting for you! My dr. does absolutely nothing re: strep B. You can be a strep B (GBS=group B strep) carrier, and never have any symptoms or illness. It can be passed to the newborn if not given antibiotics during labor, or after the water has broken. As I'm hoping to get to my 2/4 scheduled c-sect I cross fingers I make it.

Well Ladies---

So much for worrying about not having BH! JACKSON WILLIAM arrived Friday 1/23 at 2:40pm! I don't have to much time to explain the details right now. He is doing well, but will stay in the NICU for about a week since he was over a month early! He is beautiful and I am so happy he is here. Feeding is our biggest hurdle right now. He had one episode where he forgot to breath on his own.....but all the nurse had to do was touch him to remind him. Anyway...hope everyone is doing well...I will write more later....off to the NICU

Neffi! Oh my goodness!! CONGRATULATIONS! What a surprise to read your post this morning! It is so very exciting. I'm sure the feeding will come along smoothly after you both get a little more accustomed to it. So Jackson is in the NICU? Hope all else is ok! He must be a beautiful little boy! Congrats! Thanks for keeping us updated! Can't wait to hear more details from you when you have a chance! Hugs to you and your little one!

Tara - So sorry to hear about your FIL. I'm sure you will share your memories of him with your little one...

Children - So glad to hear the baby turned! I think it's just crazy that they do so much flip-floppin around in there with such little room! Hope you're able to keep her head-down and that you have a successful VBAC!

ImBlessed - What a shock that must have been to hear you were already dilated! Hope you're able to take it easy and keep that bun in the oven for a little longer...I'm sure everything will be AOK, though, if she decides to come a little early! Thinking of you!

Dakota - You're almost there! Hoping you're able to get a few things done before baby arrives...but try not to overdo it! I don't have bedrest as a reason for not having stuff done, but I still feel like I'm not ready! I'm 33 weeks today, and I am anxiously awaiting my DH getting that nursery painted! Hopefully this week. I'm hosting a baby shower for a friend in two weeks, and I want to have the nursery complete by then. We'll see! Anyway - hope things continue to go smoothly for you...

Rubylee - Thinking of you and hoping all is well!!

Jude - Hope all is going well with you...thinking of you often!

Angram - We are getting so close aren't we?! Our little girls will behere in no time! Have you finished up with your final purchases? I have just a couple of things left...then need to get it all into her room!

Crogers - Good luck on Friday! Will be thinking of you!

Thanks to all of you for the kind words and well wishes regarding my job situation. It was a hard week after getting the news, but I'm a little calmer about it now. Still not sure what I'm going to do, but I know I have a couple of options that will allow us to continue to get the bills paid and still have a great time welcoming our new daughter to our family. It's truly a tough situation for us right now, but I know we'll make it through. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

Hope to read more exciting posts very soon! Take care everyone!

Okay I have a little time to write while the NICU nurses do their rounds......Thursday night at about 11pm I went to the bathroom and I felt this pop??? I had pinkish blood when I wiped so I called my doctor and she said to go into the hospital to be checked. About 3 mintues later on my way up the steps my water broke so I told DH to pack up...we weren't coming home! The hospital was packed so I labored in Triosge (sp?) for 14 hours. I had an epidural at about 4am...thank godness...I highly recommend this if you are on the fence! At about 8cm my epidural started to wear off! I had an hour of misery! Then I had a bolis? which is just more meds in the epidural....then I did well. I was moved into Labor and delivery and started pushing right away. I pushed for about 25 mintues and Jackson was here! It was much easier than I thought it would be, but he is a little peanut. 5lbs 7oz. He was with me the first 12 hours but his bloos sugar was low and pre-mature babies don't know how to suck like they should so we had to put him in the NICU with a feeding tube. Other than that he si healthy and beautiful! He is a little jaundice so he might have to go under the lights for a little while. Okay gotta run.....I will tell you guys more later!

Oh Neffi! Many congratulations on Jackson coming into your lives! Our friend just had a ruptured sac, and delivered her little daughter 5.5 wks early Sat morning! Same with her, she just doesn't know how to suck yet, so her parents go home this morning, and she will stay for probably a week until she can feed on her own successfully.

So happy for you, and can't wait to hear about everyone elses arrivals!

Neffi - My goodness, I'm so excited for you..congratulations on little Jackson William!! My husband's friends have all been telling him this past week how their little ones arrived way early, so he's been paranoid all weekend. I just told him about you and he said I needed to pack my bag tonigt and be ready :) I cannot believe you had to labor in triage, I'm so sorry to hear that. Glad to hear you got an epidural though, wonderful news it helped out. I hope Jackson gets to leave the NICU soon and you guys are all home together, bonding and enjoying being a new family. I'm so happy for you and DH!!!

Adsgirl - I'm almost done with the purchases, think I just need to get the stroller and the rest of my breast pump stuff and I'm ready to go. We washed everything this w/e and put it all away, DH set up all of her monitoring systems (he loves techi stuff and she'll be watched like a hawk :)), so I think we're pretty much ready. Well we're physically ready, but I'm still pretty nervous emotionally. I'm so excited, but still nervous all the same. I'm happy to hear you're figuring things out on the financial front, good luck!

Crogers - I think Jan 30th is a perfect day to deliver, that's my birthday :) Good luck and let us know how everything goes, it is so exciting to know the time has come and we're all about to be parents.

Dakota - I know it's not funny, but you really had me laughing about the male doctor swabbing your butt :) I'm happy to hear you're finally going to be off bedrest soon, what a relief!

Children - Wonderful news on baby turning back head down and that you'll b e able to VBAC, congrats!

ftg - Sorry to hear your group B strep came back positive, but good news that your OB isn't concerned and you're planned for a c-section. Regarding working out, you did so much for so long that I'm sure you'll snap right back! Your little guy has been swimming along with you, so you're both in great shape :)

IMBlessed - Congratulations on dilating, you're almost there! I hear some women stay dilated for a couple of weeks, so try not to worry. Let us know how things go.

Gennessa - I'm there with ya on the not sleeping, and I've started to slow down a bit myself. I think it's all part of the process..these little ones are just taking it all out of us and yours is double the fun with twins. You should be able to post your pics to a site like snapfish.com and share the link with everyone, it's pretty easy.

Tarabletwo - I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL, I wish you and DH the best. Take care of yourself and try to focus on the beautiful like you're about to bring into this world.
