Oooooh I have a new thingymajig to play with now!!!! One more question, how do I get the name of the person on who said it in the first place, do you write that bit in? Know what I mean?

Thanks Carolyn, try the accupuncture I did accupuncture for a while, really hurt when she did my kidney area but then kindey meridian is supposed to be the major meridian for infertility, so makes sense really, accupuncture was the only holistic therapy I did that really made my cycle more normal ie, longer period, and sorry *warning a tmi bit* the clear stuff you get when you ovulate thats supposed to last for a few days well I never had it more than a few hours, accupuncture made that more normal too, *tmi bit over* but like you I love all the holistic stuff so don't need an excuse to tyr things out!!! :D Thanks will glady receive the cyber reiki will send you some in return..... Hope you have had a nice lazy day did you do the gym?? Hope your sickyness goes now, just think of it as practice for the morning sickness to come!!

Hope everyone else has had a good weekend, off to bed now so will speak next week.

Lee xx

Hello lovelies!!!

I'm soo sorry I haven't been able to get on here earlier. We got back last week, and it was straight to work the next day. Had a few heavy going days at work, which left me completely exhausted. Spent the weekend unpacking and cleaning and generally getting my place back to order. I'm one of those people who needs my house to be tidy and organised in order, otherwise it doesn't feel right.

Anyways, we didn't go anywhere exotic, just found a last minute deal to Mallorca. It was an all inclusive resort, which means constant food and drink all day............isn't it amazing how hungry you get when completely relaxed??? Or maybe thats just me. But DH and I spent some quality time, away from all this IF crap, and really managed to relax. We ate, read books, ate, swam, ate...........BCABB......ate........ It did us a world of good to get away from it all. We did talk about tmt and all that but it was so good to have a proper conversation about it when you are in a relaxed frame of mind. We both listened to each other. Overall a brilliant trip even if it wasn't nowhere exciting.

Sorry, I can't possibly catch up with all of you right away. Give me a little bit of time. Gosh, you lot can natter....the number of pages you have filled up so far  I like that! Please fill me in if I have missed anything big.

Good morning ladies!

So happy to see you again this morning, I missed you guys!

Lee,
Just before I forget, you don't need to post a message to see if the codes work or not; just click on "preview", and you'll see what your post would look like. Then you can make the necessary changes until you're satisfied, and press "submit". ;) Aren't you the one who asked about tickers as well? Gee, if it's the case, I'm not sure if I answered your questions... how rude of me; if you're still interested, I'd be glad to fill you in! As for the "no feelings" bit you talked about, well... I'm very different in that regard. I tend to let it all out, appear moody if I must at work or around friends (everything's pretty much written on my face anyway), and I've always found that it helps me get over things way faster. I prefer to deal with things right away and put them behind me. That doesn't mean I talk about it with every soul I cross that day, but I'm unable to "put up a face". Everybody's different, and there is no one good way to deal with stuff like this... About your mother's jam, I think she was making jelly! I think that's how you use the muslin bags... to catch the clear juice drippings and make jelly with it, not jam per se. Never tried it, too much trouble! ;) Although I sure wish I could give appel jelly a go next fall... we'll see! But you MUST tell me about your jam next summer! You'll see, it's addictive! It always makes me SO happy, because I know we'll enjoy it all year long, and it's a bit like I'm canning a bit of the summer days! Very joyful task! :D Thanks for your comments about Daria and Toulouse. The whole pack/family is working on it, and it's great to have DH on the same page, trying the same things, and we share our impressions and what we understand, and so on. We work great as a team. As for the energy thing, well... I'll only say, with a huge wink, that you're not the only one here who works with energy... and I won't say one more word! ;)

Carolyn,
Hiya girl! SO GLAD that you're stopping the yucky tablets! :D You're right, side effets written in czech seem even scarier! Better not to know, right? But hey, the clinic you go to seemed quite up-to-date, right? So I guess you can trust them! About the conference, well... those things are never stressful, mostly boring at some point. At least we're lucky; it's only for the hospital's researchers, so we know everybody speaks French. During international conventions, you have people from all over the world presenting in English, and sometimes it's quite a challenge to understand what the heck they're saying!!!! ;) As for the names, well, I've given up on this. DH started to read the book I wanted him to read (Secrets of a baby whisperer by Tracy Hogg), so in tune with my own common sense that I don't want to read another one; it's the one. So I'm happy with that and I won't pester him with the name thing... for a few weeks. I don't expect any progress until right before my due date... ;) I'm not forgetting the pics; DH took one yesterday, but the batteries died, so I could not upload it on the puter. I'll do it tonight, along with the sewing I've done for the room.
Cheering for AF to arrive real soon! Yippee! :D

ANGEL!
So great to have you back! Woohoo! :D:D:D:D Oh, I'm so sorry about work being so busy.... :( Always a shock when you come back from a nice vacation!!! Your trip sounded amazing, from an interpersonal point of view and from a... "basic ways to enjoy life" point of view as well, LOL! I'm SO HAPPY you were able to get that, you needed it and I'm sure it's done you some good! Welcome back sweetheart! *hugs*

As for me, nothing too exciting. I lead a meditation workshop on Saturday morning and I really wasn't too sure about how it would go. It was the first time I tried "taste" meditation, and I wasn't sure if people would find it boring or useful, etc. But you know what? It was such a GREAT experience! Interactivity really was THE way to go, and sharing our experiences after each taste was really fascinating. Wish I had done the auditive meditation workshop interactive too. Those two will be musts for next year, that's for sure!

***baby tmi alert***
After that, I rushed to a store to buy the stroller, the first car seat and the high chair. The stores are selling the 2008 stuff at lower prices, and I was able to save an interesting sum of money. Quite incredible that those items work like cars... 2008 collection, and 2009... anyway. DH giggled at me because I ate my whole lunch sitting in front of the stroller and car seat, looking at them, lost in my thoughts. It still hits me, regularly, that "hey... it's really happening... to me!?!". I just enver thought I'd see those things in my house. End of rambling...
***alert over***

Other than that, we spent 3 and a half excruciating hours at the SunLife office with a financial advisor that could put a hyperactive kid to sleep in no time, lol! We're glad, though, because I was finally able to figure out how planning for my retirement worked, with all those complicated savings and programs and such... plus we bought enough life insurance to protect our lifestyles if ine of us should die. It was clever to do that now, because we're still both really young... it's quite amazing how low DH's payments are, given the amount he had to be covered for. So we're glad we have that. Next step will be to get an accountant, and come back to Sunlife to plan our retirements. Lots of work, but it's definitely worth it.

Then on Sunday, lots of sewing. I was able to sew a set of winter sheets (tee-shirt like cotton) and summer sheets (thin cotton). Took the whole afternoon and evenin, but I'm quite happy with the final result. For some reason, I had mood swings yesterday, not a pretty sight, I'd get super moody and whiny for no reason whatsoever... much like PMS. Fortunately, it went away at the end of the afternoon and I feel normal now.

As for the doggies, we're stil working on Cesar's techniques, and we're seeing results. Toulouse is definitely calm-submissive already; he lacks self-esteem but he's an easy dog. Daria is a bit more dominant, and much more anxious. However, just by changing the way we give them their food, they're both eating slower. Instead of swallowing the bits whole, we actually hear some chewing, which is a new sound in our house, believe it or not!

I think I didn't tell you about DH's nose problems... since the fall, he's had sneezing, runny nose and blocked sinuses problems, especially at night. Lately, it got much worse; he'd wake up around 4am with a blocked nose and was unable to sleep till morning. Nothing helped. So I asked a colleague, who managed to get us an apt in ORL two days later (Thuesday). It normally takes 9 months to have that kind of apt here, so we were very grateful. DH will have to see an allergies specialist, because his nose inflammation is probably due to an allergy. But so far, the meds the doc gave him (Salinex every 4 hours, and Nasonex once a day) helped so much that he's now able to sleep through the night. It makes a HUGE difference and I'm really happy for him. It was clearly affecting his quality of life! :(

Okay, enough babbling for me, I really have to get going with my day. Have fun, ladies, and I'll see you around!

Love,

Sophie xxox

Hellooo!!!

Carolyn, just cottoned on to the fact that you'll be starting tmt soon. Yippeeeee! Thats brilliant. You must have been shocked when the RE suggested starting the cycle. Fab news on getting a donor so quick too. Hopefully this cycle will be easier on your body without the stimming, and increase your chances. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Sophie - you have done some brilliant work lady. You should be proud of your handywork. And I must say you look fantastic - you have the special pregnancy glow.
