Neffi211,

So happy for you and welcome your little Jackson to the world! Hope he gets hang of sucking and comes out of the NICU soon. Our first baby had jundice also which made her really sleepy. Keep feeding good amount food is the good way to get rid of it.

Rubylee,

Hope you and your doughters are doing fine?

Crogers,

Glad to hear from you and hope your nursery is getting done the way as you wish.

Dakota,

It's nice to be able to more around now. I cannot imagine bed rest, there are only so many ways to stay in bed!

ftg,

Yes, I enjoy very much floating in water. The belly is do in the way. While swimming, I hardly remember that I am almost 9 m pg.

Blessed,

Any progress in that dilation? I wish I was more dilated, but...

Terabeltwo,

How are you doing now?

AdsGirl,

Thank for your kind words. I really want to try for a vbac this time, I had a very long and painful recovery from the first cc-sec.

Thanks to everyone for your will wishes and we do hope our son stays head down, I still see chiropractor every 2~3 days to make sure that he stays head down.

I keep telling everyone that our son will arrive early, now I have no signs of labor and it's only 7 days from his due day. Our ob has aleady warned me that he is big and it just gets harder and harder if he does not want to come out soon. Oh well, I guess I will still let him choose his birthday, even this means that I will have another c-sec.

children - hang in there, you are so close now! I know you want to meet your little one, and I agree. I'm now just in the phase where I'm ready when he's ready :) So glad I had the experience to keep up a little exercise until the end here. The swelling might have been inevitable anyways, but now that its here its not that bad.

Take it easy and we can't wait to hear your news!

So much for worrying about not having BH! JACKSON WILLIAM arrived Friday 1/23 at 2:40pm! I don't have to much time to explain the details right now. He is doing well, but will stay in the NICU for about a week since he was over a month early! He is beautiful and I am so happy he is here. Feeding is our biggest hurdle right now. He had one episode where he forgot to breath on his own.....but all the nurse had to do was touch him to remind him. Anyway...hope everyone is doing well...I will write more later....off to the NICU

Neffi--OMG! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! how exciting your little peanut is in this world already. I was shocked (and really excited!) to read the news. Happy parenthood to you and dh. Hugs and love to Jackson :)

**sorry to crash your thread ladies, I had to congratulate my girl Neffi, we cycled together before. Best wishes to all of you as you deliver your precious ones**

hopeful - can't wait to hear your news...I'm right there the day before you! I hope I make it, and have a feeling I will since yesterday's last dr. checkup revealed no dilation, and I'm still clamped shut. :) All paperwork is signed and we're ready when he is.

ftg,

Thanks for your encouragement!

Hopeful,

May I ask why you will do a scheduled c-sec? I understand a scheduled one is better than emergency one like the one that I had last time, but isn't it vaginal birth gives quicker recovery? I am debating about my birth plan (vbac vs. scheduled c-sec) because I felt the baby does not move as actively as before and getting quite worried about the waiting for spontaneous contractions. Another question is why your ob decide to wait until 40 weeks for a scheduled c-sec, since it is normally done 1 or 2 weeks ahead of due day?

Thanks for answering in advance.

Take care, everyone here here.

OMG

Congrats Neffi. I can't wait to hear more delivery stories.

To all those scheduled for delivery this week or do a Neffi and just go on your own. Good luck and God bless your new blessings!

WOW!!!! OMG Neffi, I am so happy for you and your DH! Congratulations on a safe delivery of you little man Jackson. I hope his NICU time is short and sweet, I'm sure he will be home with you very soon. Sorry you had to be in triage for the longest time, but I'm so glad that everything went well for you and the most important thing is he is here!! What wonderful news!

Ruby, I hope you and your daughters are doing okay, can't wait to hear!

Crogers - almost there now! Wishing you all the best for Friday and you meeting your little ones :)

Tara - I am so sorry to hear about your FIL. Take care of yourself and your DH.

To everyone else, I am looking forward to hearing more wonderful birth stories very soon! How amazing that we are really here at this stage in our infertility journeys.

Children, hang in there! You are almost there, I hope you can try for a VBAC, but I am sure however he comes out it will be wonderful.

Ads - we are getting there too!

Well, we had our baby shower this sunday, and it was so nice. So many friends came and we had some lovely and generous gifts, it was quite overwhelming to have all the good wishes. It has made me feel somewhat calmer, and as though if the babies did come tomorrow we are a little more prepared than we were! Still working but getting sore and tired every day now. I hope I can stop work before long - we'll see what the OB says tomorrow, this is hard work and I know it won't get easier as I get bigger. The babies were measured on Friday, and the girl weighs around 4 lb, and the boy 4lb 2oz!

take care all, and thinking of all of you

CHILDREN - I'm scheduled because I had my daughter 17 years ago. They started the induction on Monday morning. I had pitocin and cervadil (I think that's how you spell it). It was a horrific experience for me. I dialated to 3 and stopped. My dr. at the time felt he needed to make me a guinea pig....I was in hard back labor for 3 days and never went past 3. On Thursday late afternoon they decided that a c-section was the way to go. My daughter was never in any distress. The dr. was just a huge jerk! Since getting pregnant again was a miracle in itself my current dr. has decided that going through any unnecesary stress will be avoided. I'm ok with it. I actually would rather have the csection. Yes the recovery is more difficult but I don't have anything to compare it to. The original due date I was given by my fertility dr. was Feb. 8th. so 3 days ahead is ok with me. Not too sure why it's not the week or two ahead of schedule. I just figured the longer the baby is inside the better. :D

Hope this helps a little.

For the delivery discussion, textbook says natural delivery should give you the shortest recovery time. I've seen this be the case many times. However, both my best friend and my sister in law had episiotomies for natural childbirth. My sister in law took almost 6 months to heal, and my friend said she wished her dr. would have given her the option of c-sect as she has permanent scarring that causes "issues" and that was 6 yrs ago delivering a 9lb baby.

Any way you go can be tough, and I know everyone wants the same outcome= healhty baby, healthy mom :) Our friend who just had a c-section last week was up and moving the 2nd day after. I think its how your body reacts prior to, and after giving birth. If you need more time to recover for your own body's comfort, you just take the time you need. I think some of us are given the options based upon medical risk, and we choose to either take them, or not.
