Miracle - Can I just say how much I admire you for going back to school. Well done girl. It takes lots of courage and determination and I'm sure you'll succeed at it. With your full time job, it will be a bit of hard work, but all worth it in the end. You're doing something for yourself.

In a few years, if we ever run into trouble, we'll have a top notch lawyer friend giving us amazing advice!

Carolyn - My poor feet ache from all theat jigging. Can't wait for your AF to arrive so that I can put up my feet with a large glass of wine!  It will also mean that you are one day closer to getting pregnant.

Lee - Just read about your trouble with the foster child. Seems like you have done all the right things and Sophie has given you some professional advice. Hope it all works out. I have no clue as to what I would do.

Angie - what is with work work work? All work and no play and all that..................!!! Is it still snowing out there? Whats the situation with DH and his job, is he any closer to deciding what he wants to do? Hey, when he is at home, does he take care of all the housework and cooking??

Sophie - you must be enyoing the conference facilities and your massage. I'm so envious of you. Hope you have a great time and come back feeling relaxed.

Rachel
- only 13 week and back on maternity leave? Wow. Thats great, although I know you'll have your work cut out for you with two tots. But at least its something you'll enjoy doing. Ruby is growing fast.

Hey Angie, I'm a "closet poster" too. DH knows that I use a forum, but he does not know which one or what my user name is. I do share some of the big news but he doesn't know any names, just that its my "imaginary friends" as he likes to call you

Hi Ladies

Away for 2 days and hordes of posts to catch up on!!! Its so nice to read and see what you have all been up to its like I have another life on here!!!

Angie, sorry you are feeling so bad about your job right now, I hope it starts to get better soon....
So is DH now at home full time? Why does it take so long to file for medical disability it looks like it will take ages??
As for adoption being your path, we now have some amazing friends who adopted 2 of the children we fostered and the childrens lives have been transformed. They truly are one happy family who all love each other dearly, if you do definately decide to go down that path there is an amazing baby/child/children out there waiting for you or waiting to be born so they can come to you. Sorry if that sounds slushy

Rachel, only 13 weeks back at work for you, you will catch up with everybody and then be planning your time off again, it will go quicker than you think. Hope Ruby is all well in her next appointment, I really love that name by the way! :)

Miracle glad your first lecture went ok, I think I would be so amazed at hearing the tutors voice come out of the pc I would probably miss the first lecture all together!! You must have a tremendous amount of discipline to be doing it all on line, I really believe that we do things in life in our own time and when we are ready to so all the shoulda, woulda, coulda thing doesn't matter your time is now!! You have loads more life experience now as well, so we have a lawyer in the making on our thread now!! We all know who to come to for advice in the future!! :)
Would DH be able to change his job when things get better?? Come on fill us in on him what happened yesterday?? Hope it wasn't anything too horrendous and yes we are all dying to know about it!!!

Carolyn any sign of AF? Did you have a good night out with your friends??

Angel yes I know what you mean about the paycheck I have started taking some more work on to help out with our bills etc, now all my time is slowly going!! hense not being on here for 2 days ah well..... so what are the dreams anything exciting???

Hi Sophie hope you are having a lovely time with all the relaxing things you are going to be doing at your convention, hope the work bits don't get in the way too much!!!

Hi Becky thinking of you.........

Renee where are you? Hope your ok..........

Well we have had a complete turn around in our house!! I did ask our girly what she wanted the money for and she said did not know, it was just there, I didn't press it too much. She does have pocket money each week anyway. She has really low self esteem and self confidence. During our chat she said that her mum would blow up at her they would row, she would storm out of the house and then stay away for hours, come home to another argument and go to bed and the cycle would continue, she said her mum would tell everyone and then she would have to listen to the remarks everyone else had about how bad she was etc etc. So we decided that as she admitted it straight away we would not tell anyone and I would not record it in her notes, but if it happened again then we would have to speak with her social worker about it, she felt this was fair. We have left everything the same although we have counted the money Carolyn thanks for that one!! and we have left her in the house alone since with her friend and I did the you are responsible for your friends etc etc and looking after the house. WELL!!! she has been staying in and spending time with us, usually she is out most of the time, she has been eating with us and talking to us and at her review meeting yeaterday her and her mum started really communicating properly for the first time!! She is much lighter, the energy in the house has lifted completely and we have a different girly!!!
I am really glad this has happened now as although I felt on Sunday thats it this placement will not work now at the moment we have all come forward in huge steps, I know it will still have its ups and downs but I feel now our girly actually has a chance in life now to be the best she can be!!
Thanks for all the support you gave and the advice it has helped loads :)

Now have to go have done my usual of having to be somewhere at 10.00 and I am not showered yet, so have half an hour will let you know later if I made it in time
Thanks again ladies.....
Finally I am a mummy, we are about to adopt our beautiful little girl xxxxx

Lee, wow, you have handled this situation so well, its amazing how its resulted in the girl's changing behaviour. You should be proud of yourself, you are making a real difference to someone's life, and I'm sure you will hold a special place in your heart forever. You will so be a wonderful mommy when your time comes and it will :D

So you going to do more waxing today .....ouch!!!!!!

mornin' to my bestest girly friends EVER!!! (ok -- "afternoon" if you're across the pond!!)

lee -- i agree w/ angel (nice to see you by the way!!) sounds like you handled the situation PERFECTLY!!! i've said it before - but gosh, i SO admire that you're capable of fostering.....i would interpret those kind of moments as "bonding" and "truly life changing" and would be that much closer for me to NOT want to give her back!!!

angel!!!!! hi-hi-hi-hi!!!!! glad to hear i'm not the only closet poster  this is my selfish place.....where i can come and vent and cry and laugh and have good chit-chats with GREAT women who are familiar with my emotional state of mind (other than the obvious INSANITY!!!) ha, ha, ha!! seriously though.....dh doesn't/wouldn't get it anyway!!

carolyn ---- i did EXTRA jigging as you requested...........HAS SHE ARRIVED :?: :?: :!: :!: :!: and now.....playing the "HURRY UP AND WAIT GAME -- we have CAROLYN!!!" ha,ha, ha, ha!!1

mir --- what's up w/ your dh and doctor?? everything ok?? gotta tell ya it really sucks that his boss is such a dick!!! i would have a really hard time dealing with an a-hole like that!! glad to hear your lecture went well... don't know that i would have the level of discipline req'd to set myself down at the proper time to tune in to lecture -- i would surely find 10 "better"/"other" things to be doing!!!

hey soph -- how did the interviewing go?? still can't believe what a domestic diva you are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you must save LOADS of money on making all your own stuff.....i'm so jealous!

beck --- THINKING OF YOU HUN........

and to all of you wishing me well on account of my job --- THANK YOU.... and quite honestly -- i really love what i do and mostly my boss is great and the work is always new and challenging......i'm just under a really strict deadline at the moment..... :?

don't remember who asked - but the question about dh doing stuff at home --- YES.......he does all the laundry........vacuuming.....dusting...... it almost appears as though i have my very own housekeeper!!!! i have not allowed him to cook/prepare meals though cuz he's just not really that good at it (bless his heart)....which is fine -- cuz i'd like to know that i'm contributing in SOME meaningful way around my house these days!!

so this weekend is "THE BIGGEST" football game of the season -- the "SUPERBOWL"........that is on sunday.......we have some friends coming over to watch on our 50" plasma tv (one of my most fav things in my house!!!!!).....best part of it for ME is all the junk food and the commercials!!! i do enjoy watching football as well.....i just like the other parts better!!! :P

bye-bye for now girls............LOVE & HUGS TO ALL!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello my lovely friends

I've found a free access to a computer, and of course the first thing I did was to come here. I hear people coming out of the prez room and they'll be around, so I'll have to be quick. But I wanted to let you know that I've read the last posts and I'll reply properly when I get back home. Just quick comments for now...

convention is amazing! Can't believe the special treatment we get here. We're making lots of networking and met interesting people, and I'm convinced this was a very good move for our career. I'll tell you more soon.

Lee, SO GLAD that the atmosphere shifted in your house! GOOD WORK GIRLIE!!! :D:D:D Seriously, give yourself a nice treat this weekend, you've deserved it!!!

Miracle, sweetheart, I know the session starts are always overwhelming. But you'll see, as long as you keep a nice routine and work on it a little each day, each week, then you won't stumble upon a big rush and lose your mind. You'll see that taking it one day at a time will really take most of the stress out. I'm rooting for you girl, and I'm convinced you'll do brilliantly! :D *hugs* Sorry about DH's condition... I hope they can make it better soon...

Carolyn, I'm keeping up the dancing sweetie!

Angie, Angel, Rachel, Renee, and all the others, a big hug and I'll see you around very soon!

Hugs,

Sophie xxox

a little saying i like to call "YFH"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Yee-Fu#@ing-Ha).....is what we run around saying at work as to not offend those that aren't fans of the "F-Bomb"!! ha, ha, ha!! and for the record (not that i'm trying to turn this into a ME post......) but for the record ----- that is most def one of my "not so great" attributes.... well - i suppose it depends on who you ask....but i possess the amazing ability to use the "F-Word" in just about ANY imagineable context!!!! oh well....i'm thinkin there could be way worse things in life -- right??!!! ha, ha, ha!!!
