Sorry about your lining. I have heard that there have been really specific proven results with blood flow and acupuncture. You may want to check into it if you’re open to that sort of thing. Also, are you taking baby aspirin? I think that’s supposed to also help blood flow. (I’m on it now per dr’s orders.) Not sure about movement.

With 19, you should have great odds. It only takes one!

We are also w/o insurance coverage. It really stinks. We paid for the first cycle with our house down payment savings fund. We’re willing to go into debt for a second round, after that it’s pretty scary.

BarbD
I feel fine. I’m back at work and that’s a distraction.

No HPT for me. It’s very tempting, but I’m really too afraid. I guess I’d rather know the test is going to be accurate. I’ve already had enough depressing HPTs. One thing that’s kind of a bummer is that the beta’s on a weekday so I won’t be with DH when I hear the results. (although he’s convinced this is better)

I don’t have an estrogen test scheduled, but I’m taking Estrace so I guess they already know the minimum I’d have.

I have no idea how the 2ww thing works. It does seem weird that mine is actually less than two weeks (10 days).

hi girls, sorry to crash your thread - I've been reading along, but not posting. I have my FET this Friday.
Just wanted to say something about the lining issue - When they did my 1st lining scan on day 11 of my cycle, it was 5,5 and then they upped my dose of estrogen from 12mg to 16mg (spread out over the day) and on day 14 it was 9,5. So that seems to be doing the trick and I am still taking the same amount. I wanted to ask malya how much estrogen were you taking/day in total and did they continue it or just give you 1 megadose? During my regular IVF cycles, they discovered I needed the max. dosage, but decided to try a lower dosage with the FET, but ended up on the max dosage in the end -- Hope you find this information helpful and wishing you all the best that you get in another cycle before april like you want.

Good luck and lots of baby dust to everyone on this thread!!

I was originaly on 2mg three times a day, plus two 1mg patches changed once every three days. Then they upped my pills by adding two more taken vaginaly and added one more patch. I'm also on the Lupron shot. so I guess at the end I was on a total of 11mg of estradial. I am going to look into acupuncture, I think my insurance might cover it, we'll see!

along with accupuncture, a supplement of vitamin E is also good and drinking a minimum of 3 liters/day during the cycle also helps.
what was your protocol like when you did a fresh cycle from ER to your Beta as far as estrogen was concerned. The same or more? -- Did you have any lining trouble then?
good luck to you! xx summer

we never did a freash cycle. After retrieving 29 eggs I was very sore and they wanted me to feel better before the inplantation. Beside I was told I would have better results from a frozen then a fresh. Before all this fertility stuff, when I was 14 I was diagonsed with Crohns and anemia. As we did testing for the fertility treatments I found I have a thyroid difficentcy. I now am on synthroid for that. Now here is the kicker, don't yell at me, I am tring my best to quit and have cut down by 75% but I'm still a smoker.... I said don't yell at me! believe me when I say I'm am tring to quit but the stress on IVF isn't helping. My husband and all of my friends are smokers as well, besides living in vegas my dr. sees alot of this and assures me that the amount I am smoking isn't the main issue, but no I'm not usuing this as an excuse, but I thought you guys deserve the whole truth.

Welcome. Best of luck Friday!

malya324
I won’t lecture. I know you already know the truth. I just wanted to say that I was a smoker for many years and tried quitting an embarrassing number of times and always failed. Now I’ve finally done it. It’s really not as bad as it seems. After the initial two weeks or so, it really does get better and then it feels okay. (DH has to do it, too, though.) I’m guessing your doc said that because of your (young) age, but my doc said differently.

Malaya - sorry to hear it got postponed. You have age and a shed load of lovely golden little frozen embbies on your side - so I don't think there is any question it will work. Sorry you have to wait a little longer. Will you carry on with the next cycle?

Siouxise and Smiles - how are you holding out for the beta?? Is time crawling. I don't think there is any way I will NOT be able to do one of those evil awful HTP's even though I know it sucks big time when you get a BFN and then spend the rest of the wait in a dreadful hoping on the skin of your teeth that its wrong. I'm pre testing to prep myself - I get to hear the news at work from my beta - which promises a major major meltdown if I get another BFN (not a good career move probably). UGH. I'm really dreading the result this time around but at the same time this is crawling along.

Brit1612 - thats a long wait! Usually ovulation is day one - and you test on day 14, so if you transfer on either day 3 or 5 - you should have 14 days less either 3 or 5 days if that makes sense? Maybe your clinic likes to be absolutely sure before they test. Good luck with waiting

Summerbaby - welcome and good luck for friday :) Is this your first transfer? Sorry if I missed the detail in rush reading.

Barb - Wow - 4 is fantastic - and 3 of them 8 cells!! Gosh you guys are all really loaded and ready to go with those BFP's. Makes this little single embryo of mine feel a little lonesome! My only consolation is if this doesn't work - doctor has finally conceded that the next round they would transfer more than one - so maybe twins after all!

Good luck all - especially those about to have their beta's. I have everything crossed for you!!

Thanks so very much for the warm welcome, after I just crashed here the other day!

Keep up the PMA girls in the 2WW - I'll be joining you soon! It is the hardest and longest 2 weeks, this is true...Sure am looking forward to reading about lots of positive results in a few days!!

How much time off from work did you each take following transfer?

This will be my 1st FET using DE after 3 failed IVF cycles. I'm 44 and my RE suggested this route to improve our chances of getting pregnant. So, here we are!

Best of luck to you today Brit!

Thinking positive thoughts and sending lots of baby dust to you all,

I’ll also be at work when I find out. They usually don’t call until the end of the day so I guess I could always go home (heart) sick if I need to. I tend to be able to hold it together in public and have my biggest meltdowns in the car alone.

Summerbaby

My transfer was a Friday (9:15 a.m.). I took off Friday and Monday, but had the weekend in between. I did bed rest Friday and Saturday and very light activity Sunday and Monday. My job’s not very physical. It can be stressful sometimes, but it’s under control at the moment so I wasn’t too worried about going back.

Ignore this if it’s too personal (like all of this isn’t), but just wondering if you know your donor or if it’s anonymous?

I am starting to be in serious denial and just assuming it’ll be positive. It’s about all I can do at the moment. Please, please, please let all of us make it.

Maylaya- sorry to hear about the cycle being postponed. Maybe it just wasn't the right time right now for some reason. We were supposed to have ours in Jan. and at the time we were really dissapointed. About a week later we found out some info, and it all made sense. I feel like God stepped in for a reason. Good luck to you in your future cycle!

melo- Yes, it is a really long wait! What is weird is that when we did a 3dt we had to wait 14 days post transfer. This was a 5dt and we still have to wait 14 days! I really don't want to do an hpt, but I might be tempted since they are waiting so long.

Siouxsie- I know you asked someone else the question about knowing the donr but I thought I would let you know about our situation. We did not know our donor originally, but we have gotten to know them. We traveled out of state to meet them and plan on commicating by email in the future. We were hesitant about this in the beginning, but it has really been nice to know that we will be able to share more info with our future children.

I had my transfer today and it seemed to great! We thawed two and they were both hatching blast. Now I am on bedrest for tonight and the next two days, and will go back to work on monday. Hope everyone is doing well.
After 7 attempts (2 negatives/3 miscarriages), we have TWO miracle boys!! If you would like to hear our story, please visit http://www.ivfsuccessstories.info. Never give up, it can happen for you!!

We haven’t heard from you for a while, but I just wanted to say good luck tomorrow if you’re still on with your beta!

Summerbaby
Hoping everything went smoothly today and your home relaxing and being waited on hand and foot. Let us know how many you transfer and how you’re feeling.

brit1612
Thanks for sharing about your donor. We’re trying to stay positive, but also thinking about next steps. As self-pay, we have a limited amount of resources so we’ll probably only have one more try. One option would be to use my sister as a donor. She’s a bit older (almost 35) to be an ideal donor, but it’s closer to our budget than a paid donor. Also, we do have a genetic connection, which is nice (although physically we’re very different). Another option would be to look for donor embryos. I would want to be completely open with our child (if we are so lucky). So, I’m just curious about the child’s future relationships. I would think it would be strange to know your aunt is your genetic mother. I don’t know just pondering these types of thoughts.

Hope your bed rest is totally relaxing and doing it’s job making a nice cozy home for those embryos.

BarbD

Hi How is everyone going.

Smiles and Sioxsie - I hope the beta's went good.

Short post from me - am feeling really heart sick and literally sick in the stomach. Went for a short jog/walk and when I got back and went to bathroom - I have pinky/brown discharge - so sorry if too much PMA. I just feel devastated and sick to the depths of myself - because its almost like a real reality check that am about to get my period and it didn't work. Am also getting AF cramping.

I could scream so fed up with all of this. I know its indulgant - and yes I do have one miracle to thank with my DD - but right now half my life just seems to have been caught up in this damn fertility gurgler and so desperately want to be pregnant . :(

Am so frustrated at the clinic too. When I found out in advance who was doing the transfer - I was gutted as it really felt like she messed it up the last time. This time around she did the transfer - but the embryo got stuck on the catether and they had to transfer again. I just have this gut feeling that it got damaged in her bungled attempt.

Ugh. Please, anyone out there at all that has had this discharge and then gone on to have a BFP????

siouxie & smiles -- good luck with your betas today!!

melo P - how many days past transfer are you? could be implantation bleeding, which I understand is pretty common with IVF embies -- and that is a good sign! I feel your frustration and sense of doubt but try, try to remain positive and not look for all the negative, it isn't over yet, till you go for the beta.

brit - very interesting story about your donor. how did you get in contact in the 1st place? We don't know our donor and never will have the chance, even if we (or the eventual baby) wanted to - just how it is in Prague, where we went.

barb - hang in there "only" 5 days to go -- you are almost there, I've only just begun!! good luck to you

I transferred 2 and all went well. I don't test though till the 25th -- you will all be on the pregnant after tmt boards by then, at least I hope so!

sending lots of baby dust to each one of you,
xx summer
