Sorry I’ve been absentee. We took a relaxing roadtrip over the weekend. It really did us a world of good. I’m striving for optimism.

Hang in there, the 25th will be here before you know it.

Thanks for the encouragement. I tested this morning (Tuesday) and I’m anxiously awaiting the call.

I can definitely relate to your comment about this not being the whole task. Last time, I thought we were over the hump, but we lost our baby at 14 weeks. I think it will take a long time for us to feel secure. Maybe when the baby’s born?

Wishing you the best with your beta. Sounds like you have it wrapped up.

malya324
Good luck. I think many docs don’t use lupron on FET cycles. Mine was 2 mg estrace 3 x daily and 200 mg progesterone suppositories 3 x daily, then dropping the estrace to twice a day at the transfer.

At times, it feels like I live at the RE office so it’s no wonder you went a bit early.

Thanks for checking in. I’ll know more this afternoon. I’m still in the limbo of “cautiously optimistic.” It’s a very hard line to walk, so I’m leaning more towards the optimistic side then the cautiously side (at the moment.)

We’re renting, too. So I can relate to the financial horror. Honestly, I’m trying not to think about it. Even if we’re unsuccessful, I need to know we’ve done everything we could. I’ve also started looking into IVF in other countries. If this cycle doesn’t work out, we may go that route to make our dollars go farther. Even with travel, Thailand is about 1/3 of the price I’m paying here in the US. The other killer part is that I feel like we’re erasing the chance of adoption because that requires financial resources also.

Here’s hoping this is the one for you.

I finally got the news. Today’s beta was 1687. The nurse attributed the early slow rise to lab error, most likely. I am so relieved. Still nervous, but happy and hopeful.

hi! the HPT I did this morning said pregnant! I go for my beta on Wednesday, wish me luck!

Mel - hope your cycle is going well! I know how hard it is to be away from family. I live in Europe and my family is in the US. We do a good job keeping in touch over skype with webcam -- then they don't seem so far away. Have you tried that?

Malya - keep thinking good lining thoughts! Good luck with your appt. today!

sweetmomi - welcome and good luck to you! Is this your 1st FET?

lots of baby dust and PMA being sent to all of you,

xx summer

I am so pissed off at my RE. I thought that this cycle (after my lining didn't go above 7mm) was an experiment and if it worked we would go head with the transfer. Well I had my u/s and b/w today and I was at 8mm(happy dance in the room before I got dressed). So I had been waiting for the phone call to tell me what was next. I got a phone call and the nurse told me that she called in Ajustin and to stop it on the 26 and I should get my period in 3-5 days. WHAT! I thought we were doing good. She said we were and now we can go ahead with the next cycle in March.

I had her have the RE call me back b/c I was confused. After a much sobbing phone call with him I found out we oviously had a miscomunication. The staff to do the transfer in only there 9 times a year and the next time is in March. This was a test! I'm still livid and to top it all off......
BACKROUND: I am an orthadox jew. The custom is not to touch(hold hands, kiss hug etc.), have sex, sleep in the same bed(some couples have two twin matresses in a king frame and just seperate them for this period of time), or pass things to one another without putting it down first (this is particularly difficult with the remote), while durring your period and the 7 "clean" days after, until you got to the mikvah(ritual bath).

My 7 clean days ends next monday night. The same time my period is due to arrive for the next cycle. Giving me not even a day in between, so we will be in this state (called needa) for another two weeks. I'm so frustrated its ridiculous. I'm going to call the rabbi for an exception, but not expecting one.

DEEP BREATH! Lets try this again.....

thanks for the welcomes. Not my first FET unfortunately, but this one will be different!

I am on my estrogen pills now, progesterone starting next week, and transfer week after.

Congrats summer!!! Was this your first FET?

Mayla - so sorry to heat about the mix up! sometimes people do not understand how much of an impact this has on our lives!

Thanks for all your encouragement. It means a lot.

Welcome. I think I recognize your name from a thread last summer/fall. I did an IVF in August and lost twins in October.

Wishing you the best of luck this time. Let us know when you know your transfer date.

malya324
Let it all out. That does sound infuriating. But, the bottom line is: your lining looked good.

Your religious requirements sounds really tough right now esp. when it sounds like what you really need is lots of good hugs. At least your religion doesn’t prohibit you from IVF entirely as the catholics do;

really? Catholics can't do IVF! wow. It's bizzar b/c I always assumed Catholic rules where more leaniant then Jewish. In the Jewish Religon, having children is the highest calling and you do anything in your power to have kids. The law actually requires you to have at least one boy and one girl to fulfill the law of procreation. Most Rabbi will say you have to have three to replace you and your husband and add to the population (the multiply part in be fruitful and mutliply) I've never knew there would be some religions that would appose that. I feel like its selfdefeating.

Still waiting for an answer from the rabbi.

In that case, wishing you the best of luck for both a boy and a girl. Maybe it’ll be twins.

Here’s the Catholic thing:
The Vatican also denounced most forms of fertility treatment (egg and embryo freezing, the injection of sperm into eggs), since “they substitute for the conjugal act…which alone is truly worthy of responsible procreation.” The Church singled out in-vitro fertilization, saying the procedure reduces the human embryo to “simply a mass of cells to be used, selected, and discarded.”

Needless to say, I strongly disagree.

Welcome. What a great embryo count! I resisted the POAS because I didn't trust them and preferred to hold onto the hope as long as possible. Wishing you luck.

siouxsie, thank you. I've seen your other posts and I have to say your words or encouragement to all couldn't come at a better time. I think I read at another one of you postings about the maternity clothes you got in the mail and how you felt wierd about it. I also have ordered maternity clothes for some time now and felt the same way, I even got to the point that I thought I was jinxing myslef when I wasn't even pregnant or in this case now "not out of the woods yet" but it's such en exciting thing to do to imaging yourslef in such beautiful clothes, huh?

At any rate, all I have on my mind right now is MONDAY :D and then I'll consider peeking at the clothes one more time or maybe not, depending on the results.

Malya324, so sorry to hear about your situation and the mix up with your RE, is there any other facility that can be more flexible with the transfers? I mean don't let their lack of staff prolong your much desired wish, it's such a waiting game to begin with. Have you heard from your Rabbi?
