Chris, sorry to hear the IUI didn't work this time but so glad you are already gearing up for your next cycle. And with AF here then, like you said, hopefully you can get started really soon. I like that the flare protocol worked well for Kas and Karen, and it sounds like a good sign!

Karen, that is very sad about your friend on the other thread. It scares me too. I still don't feel any movement and that makes it a bit harder. On a lighter note, I'm also really starting to show more like you. It's kind of fun looking more pregnant and not just like we've put on a few pounds. :D One of my best girlfriends dropped off another bag of clothes for me over the weekend with a ton of cute summery dresses. I can't wear them quite yet since it's still cold here, but looking forward to trying them in the warmer weather. When is your next appt? I go Friday.

Gina, I am taking 2 generic Colace supplements at night before bedtime. My OB said it's completely safe and has really helped "keep things moving." Sorry, TMI?

Kas, that's exciting you're feeling movement already. I can't wait for that thump! Do you feel it more when you eat/drink certain things, or at certain times of the day?

Hi Babyhope, Lynniecat, and everyone else. Hope all is well with you.

I am back in a cycle again. YEAH!!! I just love the needles. My E2 level was 77 and my FSH was 6. I still had some leftover follicles from my past cycle so I figured I wouldn't of been able to start by since my levels are good they gave me the go ahead. Just hoping the leftover follies don't screw things up. I am doing 225U Follistim, 225u Menopure and 20U lupron. they will drop my lupron down to 5 units on Satruday. I am kind of scared of the outcome. My august cycle that I actually made it to ER I was on 225U follistim and 75U of menopure and only stimmed for 7 days and had bad egg quality. Now I have a lot more meds and plus the Lupron is being used to stimulate. We will see what happens. Right now I am up for anything. I go in for b/w on Saturday. Can't wait to see what my E2 level will be then.

Hope everyone has a good day and Thank God it is almost Friday.

Chris, yeah!! I had no idea you'd be starting up again so soon. That's awesome. It sounds like they've got you on quite a cocktail. I'm hoping this mix works well for you. Keep us posted after your b/w on Sat.

Hey ladies,

Gina Hey, i saw you posted the question about the colace and i know you had a few replies, but i also wanted to tell you its supposed to be totally safe and is the recommended thing to take when you get a bit blocked up!! I have good weeks and bad weeks in that department and colace as well as plenty of fiber and peanut butter are my secret weapons!!

Karen Sorry to hear about your friend on the other thread....I think all of us live with the dread that something bad is about to happen, so sad situations like that just bring it all home to us. I think the thumps are reassuring and i bet you will be excited to get your house back to yourselves... i can only imagine!!

Wonderce About the movement issue... I mostly just feel moving / turning around, definately no 'kicks' (although i wouldnt really know what one feels like i guess) but on a couple of occasions i feel i have done someting to p*ss one of them off, like sneeze, bend down or cough and he has immediately kind of 'punched' me hard and fast. Each time it made me nearly jump out of my skin in shock and i even apologised for 'upsetting' him!! Mostly the moving feelings are in the evening and at night in bed. If DH presses hard he can feel them too!!! I know orange juice can get them going but it gives me  heartburn all so beware!!!

To Have Fun I saw from your other thread that you were starting again soon, and thats a great omen as its usually the e2 levels that are the issue, ,yet they are great even with those leftover follicles, so i am so pleased :D . You should be making plenty of follies with those high doses.... in my case its the menopur that does the trick, so i'm all in favour of high doses of that!!!! Let us know how many follies you get on Saturday, i will be checking and waiting :)

hi all,

chris- YAHHH!! flare protocal here you are! they do start up quick don't they....that's awesome. i'll anxiously await your updates.

i'm glad all of you have talked about colace, i think i need some too. i have and OB appt tomorrow and i'll ask about it. i'm also going to see if he can hook me up with a fetal doppler...i think that the reassurance it can give me will be worth it.

well my 14 yr old nephew is coming this weekend to help me prime the drywall downstairs for painting. it's not the whole basement, but 2 bedrooms and the bathroom, so that's a good start, then i can paint next weekend. i'm still feeling tormented at times with houseguest issues, but staying busy and positive,

must run, i've got a painting/art class to attend! karen

Kas - I won't get my follies checked till Monday or so. I just go in on Saturday for blood work.

Karen - Have fun working on your house. We gutted our house in 1996 (long time ago). Took everything down to the studs and built it back up. Well sort of, it still isn't done, YET!!! . I keep on thinking one of these days I will have trim and baseboards. DH and I spend more time on having fun then finishing our house. I know that is really bad. Once I get PG then it will have to get finished.

I know I probably have posted before about DH's best friend and his wife that have been TTC. Well turns out that they are now doing IVF also. She starts to stim tonight. DH and him have been best friends for about 20 years, and know if it both works for us, our kids will only be a few day/weeks apart. It will be really hard if it works for them and not for me but I will live with it, they deserve it just as much as I do. Though I have been trying longer and I am older then her. She is only 27.

Well, trying to find my PMA. So here ya go.

SMILE

Karen-I rented a doppler a cheaper one but it works, I really don't think I needed to record the sound, chances are the technology would change and I couldn't play it back later anyway, so I rented one for 6 months for a total of $120. It is totally reassuring and I take the time to listen every night.

Gina, not sure if you noticed but there is a picture of Jesus on your back (in the background) of your belly pic. You have someone in heaven too I see!!!

ok .. i am back.. start stims again on Monday... we are going to cycle two more times but not try and get PG just freeze the embies... maybe do cgh depending on how many blasts we get..

my body really needs a break.. so this way i get the eggs out and "stop the clock"

i convinced Dr Sher to put me on a slightly lower protocol as i had a consult with a Dr Richard Scott at RMA in NJ (he was amazing btw just didnt have the stregh to change and i like Dr sher very much) and he suggested that given i stim so well there is some evidence (minimal) that too much FSH might be harmful

Have been in the middlee of negotiations for a big job and that has been very stressfull .. but if i can get the deal done it will be amazing for me..

i have been watching all you girls..

for all of you who posted on Colace it really helped me while i was onprogesteronebut Magnesium helps ALOT also i take 800 mg before bed every night keeps me regular and helpsme sleep..

Lynniee thinking of you .. please let us know the news

Doddo.. this will be my 7th cycle so you give me great hope!!!

Chris.. yeah for being in a cycle as for the needles thank goodness i got up the courage to finally do my own shots!!! (exceptfor the IM ones) DH has been gone and will be gone for almost the entire cycle .. in a way i am kind of glad as he hates this whole thing so much in a way its just easier if i do it alone .. but it is lonely

Kas.. did you make any decisons? PM me??

Hi Karen and everyone else sorry if i missed you !!!

hi ladies,

congrats doddo! and great to see you back NY :D :D , i've been thinking of you. good for you for jumping into another IVF, i think it's easier when we have less time in between cycles, i know when i had to wait it dragged out the stress and feeling of dread i got.

chris, it's nice you have friends going through the same stuff. i also relate to that worry it'll happen to them before me- i hated that feeling. i wanted to be so 'selfless' that i could just be happy for other people, but often didn't have it in me.

so i had my OB appt today, the heartbeat sounded so loud and strong! amazing difference. we talked about my concerns about 2nd trimester m/c, examined my cervix, and there's no indication anything is wrong, but he was honest with me that that can change at any moment. he doesn't think i should worry about it. i get my u/s monday and they'll measure my cervix, but again, latest research says measurements are a poor predicter of incompetence (they used to think it was a good predicter- but as it turns out there's a wide range of good and bad measurements!)

so my OB offered me to borrow his old doppler...and i turned it down! amazing....didn't want to encourage my obsession, (but i may change my mind). i feel the baby move almost everyday now, so i think i can make due, especially after my u/s thats coming.

anyways, hope that's not too much blabbing, wishing everyone a great weekend. karen
