Hey there
Weezie good to see you dropping in we've missed hearing how you and gavin are going sorry to hear about dh's job and that things are tough at the moment hopefully he's finds something soon and things can start looking better. We haven't got any results back yet i just today collected the last sample and took all three in today so it will still be 3 or so days seeing its the weekend now but hopefully we'll know soon.

Hey suga yep your right if it turns out to be an intolerance she will not be able to have lactose all her life but if its a milk allergy she should grow out of it by the time shes two or three i'm so hopeing they tell me it's neither and that she has just been terribly fussy but i have a feeling he's not going to.

sorry have to run trying to cook dinner at the same time have a good weekend all

Jomae: Hopefully it is just something she will outgrow. I can not imagine being allergic to milk products for the rest of my life!

Wheezie: HELLO! I am glad to hear your little man is doing well. I am sorry about all the other junk though! I hope it sorts itself out here soon. I am also sorry your hubby got laid off. Gosh, this economy sucks at the moment. Hopefully he can find a job soon!

Drum roll.....THE GIRLS SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!!! Mackenzie woke up and chatted to herself for a bit but went back to sleep. Not a peep from Brooke! So one more night of them separated then tomorrow I will put them back together.

Well it is their nap time...gtg!!!

Hello all! I know I never post, but I do keep up with reading about you all!

Suga - Ok, you gave me the strength to do something and you didn't even know it! Noah all of a sudden went crazy and started waking up constantly during the night. It was terrible! It started about a month ago with him waking up once a night to all of a sudden waking up constantly for the past few nights. We knew it was because we were still rocking him to sleep and we have never let him cry. He lost his ability to put himself back to sleep - which he used to have as he was always so good about sleeping through the night! Well, I read that you let your twins cry and another friend told me that they did it with their girls. My God - I even talked to our Vet about it as he has 3 girls. Well, we did it!!! We let him cry for about 20-30 min on Wed night when we put him down to sleep and then he went to sleep and slept until 5:30 a.m. Last night, he only fussed for about 5 min and we went in to reassure him and then he went to bed at 8:30 p.m. and slept until 7:15 a.m. WE WERE SO HAPPY!!! Letting them cry is terrible, but I know it is what we needed to do for us all. It really has worked! It appears to have taught Noah how to teach himself to go back to sleep again! So, thank you! Because you were brave - I was brave!!! And we are finally sleeping again!!!

Weezie - Sorry about your husband's job. It does suck out there! My husband just graduated from school in Aug and didn't get a job until this past week. We are relieved to have 2 incomes again! Hang in there!

Hello to everyone else!!! Hope you are all ok!

Noah is up to 17 pounds and 26 3/4 inches. Amazing how fast they grow!

Take care all!!!

Hi all!

weezie- glad to hear from you, though I am sorry to know that evil ex is still making things rough for you, and at such a hard time with Dh's layoff- keep your chin up - these babies certainly do have a way of gaining perspective on our situations - one little smile cancels out all of the ickiness in the world for me :D
ah mardigras- sooo lucky for you to have gone- do you dress up? I love dressing up and making costumes- this past Halloween was the 1st time I've not made an outfit in like 20 some years!- but I figured making a miracle a week before was enough

Jomae- ahgrh! I hope they can figure out what's going on w/ katie soon- if it is lactose intolerance, there are plenty of lactose free foods they make now- and there is a pill one can take that helps provide the enzymes necessary to break down lactose - my nephew was allergic to about a million things inculding eggs- which was a nightmare, but over time, he outgrew the allergy - hope it's just a milk thing in any case-

Suga- good for the girls!!!

Michele- how's ella? a while back, you asked about Pulman's middle name- Percival- all the other names are family last names, but Percival is just a name I have always liked- there are several famous literary characters whom I admire that are Percivals or Percys - including the Knight of Arthur's round table- who was so pure of heart, faithful and true that he was the one to see the grail, and then Sir Percy Blakeney of The Scarlet Pimpernel, and only recently did I realise the additional Harry Potter connection- Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbeldore ! whew!

Gecko- is everyone feeling better? so exciting about the eats! but boy is it messy! Pulman just started on oatmeal mixed with white grape juice this week and he loves it! I am using a squirt spoon made by BOON- it's so great- you put the mushy stuff in the base of the spoon, and it squirts it out into the bowl of the spoon- no fuss no muss!
Pulman loves the water- i highly recommend it, as it's a nice thing to do together- dh got in the pool with him this morning- oh, and it's handy to wear him out but good

Corny- happy 6 months to Abby! and I am with Gecko on this one- go for it! wouldn't it be wonderful to be able to what will make you happy no matter what age? - I mean, I'm 40 and in the middle of Grad School, and don't even know what I want to be when I grow up yet

Rio- how's that big boy?

well- Pulman had his 4month appt on Monday, and we got a big thumbs up- he's doing great- still a teenie weenie one, of course. He got the ok to start oatmeal and weighed in at 11lbs 1oz, 24 1/2" long- and very active and interested- the shots were soo sad- but he recovered quickly

well- that's all for now- hope you're all great

hugs

Hey Tina- glad to hear the bean is sleeping at night again! I take it for granted, but i know that can change in an instant- it breaks your heart when they cry, but in the end it's for the best - they need sleep and so do we!

take care

Hi girls!
I have been reading up on everyone but I am finding it hard to post sometimes, trying to get work done and care for bean. MIL is still watching him for 3 hours then I keep him at work for as long as he will let me. Then I head home to care for the 3 doggies and the baby! My senior dog is dragging his back legs bad so I have to help him up and down the stairs, our poor 10 mo old puppy hasbeen couped up because ofthe rain. Dh is still suffering from a bad back and can't carry bean, just hold him in place. So I am lucky if I get to comb my hair!!! :)
I am just loving motherhood! I enjoy everything about it and watching him learn and pick up new things! We are getting ready to go on our 4 week trip to Brazil! woo-hoo! I am a little nervous about the long plane rides but hopefully he will sleep. Bean is still on bmilk only since pedi said keep up until 6 mos. He tried bananas and enjoyed them, just a taste.

Corny- so happy to hear Abby is doing so well! You should go be a nurse if that is your calling!

Weezie- glad to hear you and bean are well, so sorry about dh being laid off, hopefully he can find something soon, how stressful!

Loopie - good job on Pulman's weight gain! My bean loves the water also! Can't wait to get him in baby classes!

Gecko- hope you and DH are all better.

Twinmommies - i don't know how you do it with the 2 girls and didn't you say you had 2 dogs? big or small?

Sassy- wow- 3 beans! Glad you are all doing well.

CT- hope you can get those polyps clear to start your cycle, i am praying for another BFP for you!

Mellie- how are you doing sweetie?

Katie- it is good to hear from you and glad your bean is doing so well!

Jomae- sorry about the lactose issues :(

Tina- glad the bed time thing worked out!

As for us, I have to admit I still have little bean right next to me for sleeping, pedi said that since he is bfed only that he will not sleep through the night cause he will wake up hungry and he does! usually once a night but now he has a growth spurt I think and he is waking up twice. So I feed him on our bed and fall asleep doing it, otherwise I would never sleep and forget working! He is growing so fast! Not as big as Gecko's boy but almost!!!

Sorry for the quickie but I am always following you and thinking of you!

Brooke woke up last night...only for like 3 minutes and cried. Then went back to sleep. Bad thing, she woke up Mackenzie and SHE was up for like 30 minutes or maybe even close to an hour playing. I am tired. They are not napping at the same time today which is driving me crazy and I am tired.

Suga thats a bummer might be a good idea to ask other twin mums on the board as to what they've done thats worked perhaps seperating them for their night sleep would help if your house allows the space .sorry i can't be much help but do hope you get some rest time soon.

Should get Katie's results in the next day or twoshe's actually started drinking quite well in the last two weeks and has put on 265grams just this week so i'm hopeing thats are good sign of things sorting themselves out

Question bottlefeeding mums how long does it take to feed your little ones katie will take half and hour or more to feed 8 ounces it should be quicker shouldn't it

sorry have to run visitors just shown up
take care jomaexx

Last night, wonderful! No one woke up! Brooke moaned off and on but nothing I could not handle that is for sure! She did not wake her sister up this time either. What I did notice, and this should have been a DUH moment, is I fed Brooke at dinner and she ate a ton of solids. The night before DH fed her and she did not eat near as much solids. So there I think en lies the problem. I told him he needed to shove food down her! haha!

They now are both eating about 1/2- 3/4 a jar of veggies and just a little fruit and about 5 oz of milk!!! Brooke usually only eat 3 oz of milk sometimes more. Surprises me how much they can pack down. This morning, Mackenzie ate 7 oz THEN applesauce. Holy cow! Brooke looked at me when I tried to give her some applesauce like I was crazy. I knew she was full. Mackenzie surprised me when she was still acting hungry. Gosh.

Well, it is almost the girls nap time so I have to go put them down and I need to get ready for the day.

Hi everyone!! So I am lovin 4 1/2 months. Parker has so much wonder in his eyes. We went for a walk around the lakes in the subdivisionand were sjurrouned by all these ducks and it was just so cute watching him look at them. He has started to become very aware of his surroundings. I hope all is well with everyone.

Katie - I agree, it is so cool to watch them. Everything is new, everything is funny and we can make them laugh at any silly face! Love those all gum smiles! He just makes me melt. Their brains are just like little sponges!

Hope everyone is well! :)

rio and katie: I tripple that. The have found the toys in their exerciser and love it in there! The swing is something they only like when they are tired now!

I have a question for you ladies that are on solids...well, your kids are on solids. Mine eat solids2 times a day now, sometimes three when I am in the mood (it is just so dang messy with Brooke lol). Anyways, they ate breakfast this morning. One jar (2nd foods) or Country Breakfast (I read the ingredients and dunno if I will feed them this again but they liked it!) So they probably ate 1/2 a jar each. Mackenzie maybe a few bites more. But then they only drank 2 oz. Is this normal? Is that enough food? At dinner time they eat a whole jar of veggies 5 oz of milk and a little fruit...usually they drink more. Maybe they were tired. But how do you know if they are getting enough?? I know I know, they are gaining weight...but other than that?

Brooke is starting to say "ma" well that is what I tell myself she is saying!!

HI all-
suga- i don't know what is "normal" anymore- I just roll with what Pulman likes- and it sounds as if Brook and McKenzie are just as finicky and unpredictable- just when you think you've got it figured out- they pull a switch!
pulman is eating oatmeal 2xs per day in between the milk/formula combo every 3 hours he's awake. I started out w/ the oatmeal really thin, now it is a bit thicker and not quite so messy- he's eating 5.5oz 5 or 6x's per day, usually has 2 big naps and a few short kips per day and is sleeping through the night (unless his diaper leaks like it did last night)

a dear friend(and also expectant momma) took some pictures of our little man in a multitude of family hats- some old, some really old(over 100 yrs) and a couple made just for him- here's the link
http://www.juliapearson.com/personal/friends/pulman/
some of these just make me chuckle
hope you all are well and enjoying the winter chill

cheers

hey ladies- looks like i got some catchin' up to do! Sorry i haven't posted here much, i will try to be more active here. I have been posting a bunch on the ivf side as i gear up for my next cycle and by the time i finish writing, ella needs something so i have run and forget to come back...i promise i will do better.

suga- as far as feeding goes, i am suprised to hear your girls are on stage 2 already. ella was supposed to have her 6 mo appt today but we had to postpone it b/c dh had to work and really wanted to go, so it is in 2 weeks now. Ella eats solids usually once a day, but i am pushing for 2 now. she will eat about 1/4 cup of oatmeal with a half a jar of food, sometimes a whole jar if it is something she likes, and then after that will still drink atleast 4-5 oz bottle. Most of her bottles are 6-7 oz now, and she has about 5 a day, so even with some solids, she is still drinking over 28 oz of formula a day.

oh, and i think ella is saying ma too, but i know it doesn't mean anything yet

katie- glad to hear parker is doing well, 4 1/2 months is great and it will just keep getting better. Does he like mirrors yet? Ella laughs at herself now. Everyday is just a new day of fun.

jomae- at one point ella was taking well over a half an hour to drink a bottle, but now i use medium nipples, she drinks 6 oz in about 10-15 minutes, depending on how hungry she is. Did you get katie's results?

rio- sounds like you are one busy mommy! I am so jealous of you going to brazil! What are you going there for, just fun? Ella also tried bananas the other day and loved them, even though she shouldn't have them due to constipation. my mom had picked her up a couple jars without knowing. now i will have to give them to her as a treat.

loopie- i am glad pulman is enjoying the water. i finally signed ella up for swim lessons, she starts in a week from saturday. i really hope she likes it, i think she will, she likes her bath. now i have to go find her a cute teeny weeny bathing suit.

tina- so good to hear from you. Sorry noah had some sleeping troiubles, but glad it is sorted out. it is so hard to let them cry, fortunately, ella doesn't do it much.

weezie- so glad to hear gavin is well, and so sorry to hear about dh's job. What line of work was he in? Has he found something else yet? I wish you guys the best and hope dh finds something soon.

afs- i am going to my clinic today for my pre-surgery appt. Polyp removal is scheduled for next thursday 3/12. if everything goes as planned, i should be starting stims on 4/10, with er/et/fresh tese the week of 4/20.

Ella is doing great. When i went to sign her up for swim lessons, i saw a sign about renting the pavillions at the park, they are only $50 and it is a covered pavillion w/picnic tables, electricity, a grill and a playground right there, so we decided to book it for ella's first b-day. I know it is early, but they fill up fast, and we knew we wanted to do a cookout since she is a summer baby, i am thinking a luau. I know she won't remember any of it, but i want some good pics for the baby book and what a great excuse to through a big bbq!

She is getting more active a vocal everyday, and is such a happy baby. We just sold our hot tub on our enclosed front porch so we could remodel it and make a play porch for ella (and an exercise porch for me!) She has so many toys and i need a place for all of them...so a play porch is perfect.

ok, i gotta run and get ready to go to dr appt. talk to you all soon.
