Blessed,

Welcome Zariya Aiyanna to the world. I found the first one was much harder to take than the second c-sec that I had. I had similar reactions to your first one although no infection was suspected. I also had some baby blue which made me cry for few days after coming home from hospital. I seriously did not think that I could do the Mommy job. Our DD lost 15 ozs the three days while in hospital. I also had to supplement formula to keep the jaundice down. My milk came three days postpartum and my breasts were stone hard but I could not pump even 1 oz of milk out after 20 min pumping with hospital grade pumps! What helped me the best was the lactation consultant that my pediatrician sent me to see. She showed me exactly what I should do. Are you seeing lactation consultant? Don't be discouraged by the difficulties you had in the first few days. After a while, you will enjoy the freedom of breastfeeding, since you will never forget to bring things to feed you baby while out about!

Good luck and congrats again!

IMBlessed - Congratulations and welcome home Zariya! I'm so sorry to hear about all your complications, you deserve an easy ride after all you've been through. Wonderful news she's a great baby though, that is a blessing. I cannot imagine how happy you are to finally have her in your arms, how wonderful. I hope you get to feeling better very soon, good luck!

We had our OB appt this morning and I'm now at 1cm dilated and 90% effaced. She had to massage my cervix, which BTW does not feel all that great. I've been cramping ever since and have some "show", but she said to expect that. Now we'll just wait around to see if our little girl is ready to join us :)

Imblessed - Congratulations! I love the name you chose for your daughter. Sorry to hear you've been having some complications, but it sounds like you are making your way through it...can't wait to have my baby girl in my arms, too!

Angram - I went to the doc on Monday and she said things hadn't changed from the previous week - still about 1 cm and 50% effaced. I also had quite a bit of spotting and cramping afterwards - actually took a tylenol which I don't think I had done for anything the whole pregnancy. Anyway - I keep hoping I'll have some labor symptoms so we can get this show on the road! Nothing yet, though.

Neffi - I, too, can't believe Jack is already one month old! Wow! Glad to know he's doing well!

Dakota and Jude - thinking of you guys and hoping you're feeling good. Any day now!

Today is our wedding anniversary...looking forward to celebrating with DH tonight. I have a busy, stressful work day (today and tomorrow) which I'm not looking forward to. I am so easily exhausted these days...and this week I have the pleasure of starting the training for the people who are going to be taking over my responsibilities after my job is eliminated. fun fun fun. Hopefully labor will set in so I can get the heck out of there! ha ha

Anyway - happy day to all!

Imblessed, congratulations on your baby girl!!!! I am glad that you are feeling better now after a rough start to motherhood. I love the name you have for your little girl. I'm sorry you had complications with your incision, I hope it is healing well.

Ads - how many years is it for you? Congrats on your anniversary :)

Well, Ads - I am also not doing anything new! Still at 2cm and 80% effaced. No real contractions going on. At the OB today, they said they would like to induce next Wednesday! I am a little thing about it, I really want to be able to go into labour on my own, and not have pitocin and be tied down to the bed with all the monitors, but at the end of the day I just want my babies out and healthy. They said they would allow 39 weeks at the most and then for the babies health they need to induce. I am thinking about it, but I guess 38 weeks is pretty well cooked for twins! I am going to spend this week jumping up and down, walking and doing the deed with DH to see if we can't get them here under their own steam!

Angram - it sounds like things are progressing for you..! Only 10% to go! Why did she massage your cervix?

Dakota - hope you're hanging in there girl.

Adsgirl - Sorry to hear no progress, I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get the show on the road soon, especially so you don't have to train your replacements :) Happy Anniversary to you and DH!

Jude - 38 weeks is great for twins, at least that's when 2 of my friends recently delivered their twins. Good luck and have fun jumping up and down and doing the deed :)

My OB massaged my cervix because while checking it she felt scar tissue and massaging it breaks that up a bit. Well it seemed to work because I started having contractions last night at 6:30 and they haven't stopped. We were down to 2-3 minutes for over an hour, so called and headed on in at midnight. They monitored for 3 1/2 hours, but still nothing beyond 1cm, so they IV'd me up for hydration, contractions moved to 8 mins and they sent us home. Just got back from OB, now at 3cm, lost mucus plug at office, and contractions are between 2-6 mins. Gotta wait till they're 5 mins again and then we'll head back in :) Hoping we get things started tonight...I'll keep you ladies posted.

Yahoo Angram! Sounds like you're on the brink! Can't wait to hear the news and updates...all happy, supporting thoughts headed your way!

Jude - I hear you about being induced, but 39 weeks with Twins...wow! You must be getting pretty uncomfortable, huh? Are you feeling that lower pelvis pain like I am? I'm not so inclined to do the deed with hubby cause I'm afraid it will hurt...it's been a couple of weeks...hmmm....I've been thinking about it, though, to see if it might help get things going. We'll see. Anyway - good luck...you've still got a week to have things start happening. Fingers crossed for you!

Thanks for the good anniversary wishes - three years that I have been lucky enough to be married to the most wonderful man. I'm so blessed...and now I get to see him become the most amazing father. wow.

Angram! Oh my girl, things are coming!! You def. sound like you are on your way, sending you happy delivery vibes! Can't wait to hear!

Ads - awww. That is lovely. I'm glad you have a wonderful man to watch become a wonderful father. I love watching my husband when he is being a wonderful dad to his kids (my step), I can't wait to see him with our own.

Honestly, I'm not that uncomfy at lot of the time, just starting to move around, or turning over is pretty uncomfy, but once I get going it's not bad to begin with. After walking a bit though, things get harder but there's not a lot of discomfort. I feel like I was made to be pregnant!
I looked up some stuff online, and there are some studies that show that 39 week twins are better off out than in, so that makes me feel better about being induced at 38.

Ang - if you aren't in labour by now and are able to reply (!), did your friends deliver by themselves, or were they induced??

xx :D

Jude - I'm unfortunately still here, contractions are about 10 minutes apart right now. One had a scheduled c-section and the other went into labor by herself. She tried to deliver vaginally, but one was turned and wouldn't move so they did a c-section after hours of trying. You sound like you're doing great, I'm so excited for you!

Imblessed- Congrats on your baby!! Sorry you had a rough start, but glad to hear that all is well with baby.

Jude- just a few more days and you'll be holding your twins!!! I am amazed you've gone this long!! Like you said, you must be made to be pregnant :D

Angram- WOW girl!!! You may not make it through the weekend!!! How exciting!! Get out and get walking ( as I tell you this, my fat butt is laying on the couch...just too lazy to do anything). I cant wait for you to have your little one.

Ads- congrats on 3 years of marriage!!! hang in the on your progression, when is your next apt?

I was woke up the other night with pretty strong contractions, I thought again that this was it, but I went back to bed to start timing and fell asleep and when I woke up I was just crampy, no more contractions  I had some more this evening, but they only lasted about an hour and only a few strong ones in there that made me sick, still have a queezy feel. I am going to get in the bath here soon to see if it helps. My dad is in town and my bil and his wife are here as well, it would be so great if gracie would come in the next few days, but i think she is just too happy where she is. as a matter of fact, she is in there having a party now...maybe its an eviction party :P

Hang in there ladies, our babies will be here soon. I am so excited for us all!!

To everyone who has their babies, hope all is well and your getting a good routine going.

OK, so we're still here! Contractions have been crazy, intense and all over the place. Finally had them down to 3-5 minutes again for about 2 hours last night and was told we could come in if we wanted. Waited a little longer and then contractions started spreading out again...this is insane. Even went for another long walk, Dakota :)

Dakota - Keeping my fingers crossed that little Gracie makes her appearance, and yeah, I'm incredibly emotional these days :)

angram- sounds like things are getting really close!!! How exciting!!! I know how frusterating it is to get all those contractions and no baby. Just think though, those bad boys are making you dilate so when the real time comes it will go fast because your cervix will be almost all the way open!!

I've been having back contractions all morning, they dont feel so great. I was thinking about running the vacum and then taking a walk, but I want to sleep. I am so tired!! Not to mention the pressure from the back contractions keep in the bathroom all morning

Keep us posted on your progress today angram...I will be checking in today on you.

Oh Dakota-- Good Luck! Can't wait to hear about your little miracle! Hope everything goes smoothly!

As for my little miralce....he went from content to fussy in the last two days. I'm not sure whats going on? I think maybe it's just becasue he is awake more during the day? He honestly never cried other than bathes and diaper changes in the first weeks! I know I guess I was spoiled, but I hate that when he is awake now, he's not happy! He's chaged, feed and comfy....so I guess babies just cry sometimes? Any thoughts? He also doesn't seem to sleep soundly? How are everyone else's babies???
