Hey ladies. Glad to hear every one is in such good spirits and that every one is doing well.
I just wanted to stop by and post that I have made it to the 32nd week which is the first goal my dr. planned for me. YAY!!!
If my boys where born right now they would definatly survive and have only the teeniest chance of any long term effects of being born premature. Not that I want them born now. My own personal goal is to make it to 36 weeks. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
I think I'll make it. I've been very fortunate to have had a very uneventful pregnancy, (except for my little stay over in the hospital for a lung infection, which really had nothing to do with being pregnant) and the little thing with my cervix which resolved itself.
My next ultrasound for twin growth and cervical lenghth is tomorrow, I'll post after.
Hi!
silverangel: glad you made it to 32 wks, its definitely a milestone. i'm sure you'll make it to 36 also...good luck on ur u/s
twinmommy: how many weeks were u at delivery? hope you doing well and enjoying being a mommy!
i'm sooo uncomfortable with sleeping, i use the snoogle at 5 am but can't sleep the whole night with it...i think my uterus is just too large for my body, and there's about 8 lbs of baby in there...4 lbs each which i am grateful for. i'm hoping to make it to 36 wks too, it looks like a c-section in my future as baby A is always breech...
how is everyone doing? not much action on this board...probably a lot of nesting going on? anyone having lots of braxton hicks like me..i take an occas terbutaline for them which helps...
babyloves: I was 30 weeks plus 6 days. So almost 31 weeks. They tested, once delivered, at 32 plus 4 though. But 6 weeks for one and 7 weeks for the other in the NICU. Mostly feeders/growers but one needed a little help with oxygen for a week or two. Girls do better than boys if born early though (so they say) so we were lucky in that aspect!
I am glad you are all doing so well!!! Keep those babies in there!!
Babyhopes1: I don't think that's a question for us as much as it is for your doctor.
I wouldn't think so though. I was on prenatals since retrival and once they found out it was twins at 5 weeks 6 days they gave me an extra folic acid but kept me on the same dose of prenatals.
Ideally your prenatal vitamin should have 1 mg of folic acid which sometimes the over the counter ones don't. They also don't have DHA (omega 3's). I used an over the counter one until i got pregant, and then switched to something my doctor prescribed which has fish oil.
You shouldn't need to take 2 of the over the counter ones just because of twins- but ask ur doc for prescription ones if you wanna include fish oil, or more folate.
babyhope: There is no need to take extra prenatal vitamins. I think my doctor did a script that had a little more folic acid in it but it made me sick so I took Flinstones Complete the whole time almost and he said that that was fine.
Hi, I have not responded in a very, very long time, but wanted everyone to know that I wish them great luck in the weeks ahead.
Currently, I am 32 weeks and a day. My due date is April 17th, but as we all know it is rare to make it to 40 weeks. I have a feeling I may enter April with the babies on the outside! So - we'll see.
Sleeping is tough, indigestion is tougher, nesting is insane, and the whole thing is really exciting. I cant wait to meet my fraternal girls. - I wonder if they will look alike at all.
So - good luck everyone - soon it will be picture posting time!!!
Hi every one, wanted to come on and share the news that I have two big fat babies on board here.
We went for our growth sonogram last week (32 weeks, 3 days) and I can't believe how big the boys are!! Santino was measuring in at 4 lbs 1 oz and my Tommy was a whopping 4 lbs 11 oz's!!
When I asked the sono tech how acurate these numbers where she said that they could be off only by an about 3 oz in either direction.
So I've got some good sized babies in there and that is so reassuring. I just worry that because they're almost 10-12 oz bigger then they're supposed to be then they'll run out of room faster and get here sooner rather then later.
Don't get me wrong, I'm ready to not be pregnant any more and have the boys here but I want them as cooked as possible.

Hi,
I am at the hospital, bedrest with bathroom priviledges as they say - which is in fact a great thing!. Glad to know that everyone is doing 0k in spite of the inconveniences of bedrest and the aprehension of the ultrasound. Now I have Internet back and that makes me feel a lot less bored/lonely. One of my babies has restricted growth which is caused by weaker placenta capabilities - I worry so much about my baby B that I want to have her born soon so doctors can take care of her. They run ultrasounds and "non-stress" tests on a daily basis - that is, I have to laydown on my back for almost two hours with the monitors in and the nurses trying to locate and track my little ones. Can say that I am ready to deliver!!!!
SilverAngel, congratulation on your big boys and on having Santino's face already looking like Dad - he must be so proud of himself! Thanks for the sticker, it is the only one that has three babies on it...how can I have in on my signature? thanks you!
JenniferPD, I still remember your fearful message when you cervix was shrinking way way too early! What a miracle having you on your 32 weeks! Hang in there!
Stefanie, I feel tired of visitors too but...we cannot say anything. I don't feel bored or lonely during the day but must say nights are not fun, with the back hurting and the by the hour peeing routine. I am getting adicted to Law and Order - we don't have that many channels her at the hospital.
Babyloves, thanks for reminding us of the importance of water - here they give you two big mugs that kind of represent what we have to drink every day - but I forget sometimes. Now I am adding carnation breakfast to one of the jugs with lotsa ice and milk - it tastes as a milkshake and adds protein, too. I can't eat big meals anymore!
Hope everyone is doing OK, best wishes, Literatriz

Hey Jennifer,
I'm so glad you and the babies are doing great. I get so nervous every time I see that you posted thinking that your going to tell us that they've arrived. Hope they stay in there a bit longer.
You must be so proud of the way your body has handled what could have been a tragedy, your little one are very lucky to have a mommy that loves them so much and has sacrificed as much as you have.
Hey girls!!!! I've been reading all your posts lately. To everyone on bedrest and soon to be mommies of multiples, hang in there. You all are in my prayers and really sound great. I'm 26 weeks today and just really realizing how carrying multiples is so UNEXPECTED. It is far different from carrying one. I really have no idea what is in store for me. As of right now, I feel great. I'm not sleeping well and I pee every 15 minutes, but besides that I do feel great. I travel for work and only work one day a week in my hometown. My OB is trying to decide when he is going to elimate travel outside the county. I live in Georgia and defintately do not want these boys to be born on a back road in the middle of farm country.
Question...How much do twins normally weigh at birth? What size clothes should I be buying to wear home and after the hospital???
