Liz35: Don't jinx yourself by buying preemie things. I refused to buy anything that said preemie because I figured that if they where born under 5 lbs we'd deal with it when the time came. So as of right now all our things for our boys are newborn. 5-8 lbs or 0-3 months.
Thats just my oppinion.

Liz: I had preemie babies thus HAD to get a few preemie outfits. They came home and were 4 and 5 lbs. I think they were in preemie things until almost 7 lbs? Newborn was HUGE on them for a long time and then they stayed in newborn for awhile. However, I would not buy preemie unless you have a preemie. And then only get like 3 or 4 outfits per baby. They do not stay in them that long. Newborns can run pretty small. I would say more newborn things. I know people that have had 6 lbs twins and they outgrow newborn things FAST. I say, diversify. Some newborn and then mostly 0-3 months. If you need more clothes, send out the hubby or a friend to pick some up for you. There were some newborn outfits that were HUGE and they did not fit into them for awhile. It all depends on the brand of the clothes as well.

However, if you need preemie the best selection is at, oddly enough, Walmart.

I am not sure if I can officially join your thread until next week but I figured I would stop in and ask... Were all of your betas high from the start? I had my first one on Friday and it was 835 (14 day past transfer)and my 2nd on Monday was 3079. That seems very high to me and I was wondering if you had any other signs that you were having multiples before your 1st U/S? Any help would be appreciated.

My 1st beta was 210. Sounds like you've got more then 1 on board. Congradulations!!! And don't look for sings right now, not even pregnancy ones much less multiple pregnancy ones. Your still too early.

ur betas sound nice and high - could be multiples. My first one was 560, but betas can be hard to evaluate until the ultrasound. There's no other signs for multiples unfortunately so there is waiting again...good luck.

SilverAngel679,

You had your 1st beta much earlier than I did... mine was more in line with the timing of your last beta. How many embryos did you transfer? I see you are almost ready to deliver! Congrats! Any advice for those just starting the process?

lilmd: advice...just be optimistic and things will turn out right...eat well, lots of water...the early and last few weeks are the toughest i think...2nd trimester was smooth sailing...i'm in the last few days/weeks, and believe me...its just as hard to wait, esp if you're done with all the preparations, etc...congrats again!

these forums got me thru a lot of bad times...and i've met great people here as well, so you're in the right place :D

That's true. I didn't realize that about our beta times, but hey that only proves that your betas are AMAZING and that you've probably got more then 1 passenger in there.

The advice I can give you is this and hopefully your not the paroniod type and can take it to heart. DON'T WORRY!!!

I analyzed every little tiny pain and twinge and symptom in the begining and drove myself insane. I truely did not enjoy my pregnancy until I was able to say "Ok, chill out. That tiny little bit of brown on the toilet paper/that slight discomfort in your back/your feet being a little swollen....ect does not mean enevitable doom from (miscarriage/preterm labor/preeclampsia...take your pick)

And by then it was time to get big and uncomfortable. Babyloves is right, the second trimester is the best but unfortunatly for us multiple moms it's come and gone too quickly because we grow so much faster.

Relax, enjoy (once the nausea is over) and be healthy.

babyloves:
I couldn't agree with you more. the waiting is driving me nuts. Your exactly a week ahead of me so you must be going nuts too. maybe more so...lol. And your totally right when you say it's harder when everything is all ready for them. I've got empty cradles, clothes with tags on them, tons of diapers, colostrum, toys, you name it just waiting for them to get here.

Boy, our uterus's must be great if they choose that over what we've got out here for them....lol

silverangel: you're right...as my DH says "good womb" - its funny, my babies clothes have no tags now, and everything including all sheets, burp clothes, clothes, etc have been washed, folded and put away...i've even taken out the diapers and wipes and put them in a box...my suitcase is packed with my clothes, babies' clothes, toiletries..etc.

my favorite store is babies r us...and recently i've been on craigslist to buy almost new stuff that no one got us off the registry...

Is there anything else you guys are doing to prepare? i spend all day now eating and watching TV with some reading in between...

OH JENNIFER!!! You must be so happy!! Congratulations. What happened that they came when they did? did you go into labor or was it just that you reached a safe time? How are you? where they born natural or did you have to have a c-section. Sorry about all the questions, I'm just so excited for you!!!
Post some pictures when you can.
