 Thank you so much for all your well wishes and sticky baby dust for my ET last Sat. You guys are the best 8)
 I was wondering if anyone that has gone through IVF before knows how long you stay bloated. Mine is so bad I feel it all the way up to my ribcage. My appetite is low because I feel full all the time. I just wonder how much longer this will last.
 Michelle- Love your list and all the bling. You really are talented. Hope things are Ok with your family. Funny how when your not supposed to be stressed so you can go through all this- that's when crap happens.
 KimBob- My acupuncturist told me before I had ET to be gratefully for everything my dh has done, and to imagine how happy my uterus is to accept the gift we have made together. Basically it's all visualization, in an effort for your body to accept the embryo. The being grateful to dh has to do with your body not rejecting the embryo (autoimmune response), but being grateful it is half of both of you. Anyway, I did a lot of visualization or meditation during this whole process. I imagined my ovaries getting plenty of blood flow to grow perfect healthy beautiful eggs. I would put both my palms just above my pubic bone to my belly button, to feel the warmth and imagine the blood flowing to them. I would also imagine as I deep breathed, any adhesions, bad blood, etc leaving my body to make it the most perfect place, and rid it of all bad things. I also did a lot of imagery when I layed in the clinic after ET to imagine how warm and inviting my uterus was for my two babies, and how they would love to nestle in there because it was so wonderful. Also, imagining increased blood flow to my uterus.
This may all sound so corny, but for me, it really helps, and it can't hurt. My acupuncturist is also a very traditional Asian man that practices herbal medicine and holistic practices. He felt that a lot of my problem with infertility since I have endometriosis and adhesions was blood stasis. Old blood sitting there, and not enough blood flow and oxygen to my reproductive organs. I'm into it and hey, anything that can help. I know a lot of people feel they have done well with acupuncture, and I totally agree. When I was stimming, the night and day after I would have acupuncture, my ovaries felt a lot more stimulated. My abd. would be more sore and I could pinpoint where each ovary lays. I think it is why we got so many good quality eggs. I can also see why your RE doesn't believe in you talking to your r ovary, since he practices a kind of medicine that doesn't always see the benefits of western medicine.
So I would keep visualizing all the things that need to happen for both your ovaries to keep doing their best, and to heck with your RE.
 Well ladies, I am one of the girls that is also not good about writing to everyone. It really is amazing to me that some of you have been able to keep up with it all. I just wish you all the best, and remember to keep on visualizing :D

 Sara30- Thanks for asking how I'm doing. I still feel bloated, but better today. I did take it easy for a few days, my doc recommends bed rest for 48 hours. Then I think I got a little stomach thing and have had diarrhea the past couple of days. That may be why I'm constipated too, who knows. First I had major constipation, now diarrhea, can't seem to win. I'll tell you though, rather have it come out soft than give birth the way I did the other day. That was rough
Have to see acupuncturist today, he says it's good to do to make sure embies implant.
Good luck tomorrow with your transfer. Plenty of sticky embie dust sent your way :D You like that- just made it up. I must be feeling better since I'm giddy. I think it's being done with bed rest which kinda sucks by the way after the first day, plus I held down my breakfast without immediately running to the bathroom :P
Well again good luck and let us know how it goes!

kline- welcome to our wonderful thread, you will really like it here. I will add you to our list as soon as I am done saying hello to everyone. Do you know anymore of your dates, like expected stim start or er/et?

Cymplicity- I will add your expected dates as well.

Sara- Wow, tomorrow is your big day, I can't believe it, it came so fast, we will all be praying for a good thaw and a smooth transfer. Keep us updated, how many are you transferring?

Oh yeah, and the calendar was not mine, it was cynthia's, I just put it on our tracker so people could find it easier. Wasn't that such a great idea by cynthia? I have never seen that kind of thing before.

Mel- I hope all your gastro issues work themselves out soon. Bathroom problems are no fun!

Kim- good luck for your retrieval, we are hoping for lots of eggies!

Ok, sorry so brief today, I will go update our list and check in on you all later today, I hope everyone is having a nice day...

Good afternoon ladies, hope everyone is well.

Kim - ER tomorrow, I'm so excited for you! Please report in as soon as you feel up to it and let us know how you got on. And I hope you are still talking to those ovaries - how on earth does your RE know it won't make any difference!!

Lee - big day for you tomorrow as well! I will be thinking of you at 2pm. Let us know how it goes.

Sari - we posted at the same time yesterday I think so I didn't see your message until after I'd submitted mine. I'm so sorry to hear about you feeling ill. Are you better now? What did your doctor say yesterday?

Cynthia - AF arrived! So I see from the calendar that you start stimming on Saturday, yippee!

Michele - did your MIL's tests come back yesterday? Hope things are starting to resolve themselves, I've been thinking of you. I'm sure it is taking up a lot of your emotions and energy - just you make sure that you take care of yourself as well in the run-up to Thursday!!

Nicole - good luck with ER tomorrow, let us know how you get on!

Babymex - how is the 2ww going? Only two days left until your beta!

Melanie - has that bloated feeling gone yet? Did you speak to your clinic about it in the end? Poor you, coming down with a stomach bug. Hope it will disappear again soon.

Welcome to kline, we all look forward to getting to know you better.

Wishing4baby, Trying for another angel, Sisi, SunMoon&Stars - you are all coming up for ER/ET soon I think? How are you all doing?

AFM, my nose is starting to feel a bit sore from the sniffing. I can only imagine it is going to get worse with 23 more days of it before my baseline! DH is back tomorrow night from his work conference, I've really missed him (two nights away and I turn into the world's biggest baby, I know!) but at least I have the dogs to cuddle up to! Anyway, hope to catch up with everyone soon, I'm off to cook a meal for one...

Lots of PMA to everyone with big days this week...

New to forum--FET on 4/2/09

Post by sbr »

I just posted a quick introduction in the introductions thread, but this March/April thread looks like the place for me to be! I am currently prepping for a FET on 4/2/09. I have an IVF two year old (2/26/07) who was lucky enough to "stick to me" on my first IVF attempt. I'm wondering if there is anyone out there who was lucky enough to get pregnant on their first IVF attempt AND their first FET attempt??? I know that I was extremely lucky to get pregnant on my first IVF attempt---is there any way I can be so lucky twice? A friend recommended all of you cyber IVF hopefuls! So I'm hoping to be welcomed with open arms! I'm starting my obsessing phase now!!

Newbie here~ in my 2ww

Hi everyone,
Well I didn't even know that this excisted until last night when I couldn't sleep and I just started Googling everything regarding IVF. This is my first IVF Cycle and I thought I was handling it very well..until.....yesterday morning when I had my ET. All of the sudden all my fears came rushing in. I try not to talk to my family about them to much because everyone just tells me "Theyjust know it is going to work" or "don't worry" Wow....easy for them to say! I have been reading everyone's postings here and I have to say that it has helped a bit.

My story: I am 34 and DH is 38. He had a vasectomy and then a reversal 9 years later. The reversal produced some but not alot of swimmers :? ...IVF was the way we have to go. My experience so far has not been bad I responded extremely well to the Stims, and had 33 eggs of which 15 fertilized. They said that there was fragmantation but they did transfer 2 embies (a grade 4 and 3) on day 5 not really sure what that means. I am really struggling with staying positive but I really think this forum is going to help me with that.

Any tips, suggestions, or just words of incouragment is what I am looking for and if I can help anyone I am an open book.

Hi faithiseverything and sbr! Welcome to the board! I think at least 1/2 of us are newbies on this thread and we came across this board the same way you did...googling obsessively  Let me tell you, the ladies here are great! We're all at different stages and on different protocols so there is someone here to answer any question you may have.

hjw, isn't it great to have those 4-legged cuddle buddies around?? As I mentioned before, my husband is a firefighter so I'm home alone about every other night. My dogs definitely keep me company. I didn't realize how much so until one evening I boarded them because we were flying out early the next morning. I quickly realized how my Ella Bella (lab mix) made me feel really secure. I'm use to her little radar ears perking up when she hears something unusual. Without her there EVERYTHING sounded unusual !! LOL My other baby is scared of his own shadow and strictly for cuddling :)

AFM, I'm anxious to have my bw and us done tomorrow. The nurse said that if everything looks good I may get more details on my schedule. I do have a question...what type of ultrasound will this be tomorrow? The last one I had just before starting lupron they used the wand internally (referred to it as a 3D ultrasound). Will all the u/s be performed this way? I understand if they are assuming they get a better pic of my ovaries, but that will be rather gross tomorrow with AF around :( I didn't think to ask the nurse when I spoke with her yesterday. Guess I'll just prepare for the messy worst :P
