Hello ladies - well, you are all busy with your newborns at this point, and I feel ridiculous cause I'm constantly checking the board for updates and stories and links to photos...clearly, I'm the only one left without a little one keeping me busy!! I do have some good news, though...found out I got the job that I interviewed for a few weeks back. Even with "baby brain" they thought I seemed like a good fit, and they made adjustments to the position to fit my experience and qualifications. Could not be more excited and relieved. I will start June 15th, so I'll have a good 12 weeks with my baby girl (hopefully more if she comes soon!!

Waiting to hear more updates...Tara and Jude - hope all is well with you both!!

Dakota - Congratulations and welcome home little Gracie Lynn! We delivered just a few hours apart :)

AdsGirl - I cannot wait to hear about your soon-to-be arrival and I hope it's very soon! That is awesome news about your job, contrats!!!

Still trying to figure out some sort of routine, but things are getting better. I actually got 5 hours total of sleep last night..it's wonderful :) My mom has extended her stay by a few days since DH came down with a horrible stomach virus. My MIL was supposed to stay with us after my mom left this w/e, but I think she'll just stress me out too much so I asked my mom to stay. I feel horrible, but I need to put Audrey and myself first, so no MIL for now.

Hope all is well with everyone, what a wonderful time for each of us! OK AdsGirl, next time I log on I expect to see an update that you're in labor :)

Hello Everyone

Little Ariana Ellen was born March 5, 2009 at 9:22 pm weighing in 7 pounds 2 ounces and 18.5 inches long. She is so amazing beautiful and very sweet natured.

Labor was really long. We went in Wednesday night at 8:00 started my pitocin about 3:00 a.m. got the epidural about 6:00 a.m. and then we waited. I just progressed really slowly. Finally about 7:00 Ariana was really not wanting to be in labor anymore so they put me on oxygen and turned my over a few times and by 7:45 I was readdy to push. Pushed for almost 2 hours and then got sick so they decided to use some suction and she was out.

She is doing amazing having a hard time feeding because the colostrum just isn't enough for her so we are doing SNS system that Angram is also using. I think we are finally getting the hang of it today!! She is a really good eater but definately likes to space her eating out closer to every 5 hours rather than the 2-3 they want. I was so stressed out trying to make her eat in that time that my nipples just wore out. This morning I tried her schedule and we are doing great! I would love to post pictures I am just not sure how to do.

Dakota way to go on Gracie. Congratulation can't wait to see.

Jude - Any News

Ads- How are you doing? I know the wait in intolerable but soon you won't be having the time to post about your bundle and we will all be checking to see when you can hurry and get that email written. Congrats on your new job. That is awesome you will get the 12 weeks with the baby.

Hope everyone else and the babes are doing ok. Take care, I am going to go cuddle my miracle!

Tara, CONGRATS! I love the name Ariana! I know she's beautiful just like her name. What's the SNS system?

Ladies, is anyone stressed about returning to work? I'm not looking forward to going back to work and leaving my baby. :(

Tarabeltwo,

Congrats to your job well done! I am sure that your DD is beautiful! Good to know that you have been doing well with breatfeeding also. I remember the hurting part was unbearable at the beginning days...it will get easier with time. Enjoy your precious and kiss her for us.

HEY LADIES!!

So, first of all, congratulations to Dakota and to Tara, so glad that all is well, and looking forward to hearing your story Dakota, and seeing both your little ones pics.

Well, my beautiful babies are here, Christopher Joseph Thomas was born 11.19pm Wed the 4th March, and Amy Eva Marie at 11.21pm. Their apgars were 8 and then 9, and baby Chris weighed 7lb, baby Amy 5lb 13 oz.
They are amazing.

We went in for the induction as scheduled Wed 6am, and the drip was running by 7am. I progressed slow but steady through the day and by 5pm was 5cm. Decided that that was enough pain for one day, and got the epidural at that point. Made it to 8-9cm by around 7pm, and that's where I stayed. By 10pm they said, one more hour, and then csect for you if no change. Well, baby boy stayed sunny side up and wasn't dropping down, so that's what we did. It was pretty good really, and hasn't been bothering me pain wise unless I over do it some - it was so all worth every single minute of this whole journey to just hear their first cry.

It is scary how in love I am.

Breastfeeding has been good with Chris, and terrible with Amy to begin with, she was having trouble latching, and would get frustrated and cry for 20 mins before we could get the latch, by the time they both got fed, I got about 30 mins rest before starting again! I got a pump Monday morning, and have been pumping as well as feeding, so if it does happen she can have expressed milk without us going insane, but since then she has been doing really well! How come you ladies didn't mention how big the girls get??!!! I am sitting here typing this with breast cool packs on them in my bra having just finished feeding and pumping.

I am so happy to be at this point, and it already feels like they have been here forever, and that we are the luckiest and most blessed people in the world.

Adsgirl - I;ll be watching for your news! Good luck, it won't be long now, and congrats on getting your job. I am so happy it worked out, and 12 weeks off is great!

I'll be getting back on a bit more now hopefully, we'll see how it goes with the sleep

xx

JUDE!!! Congrats, Lady! I'm so happy to hear your news - Sorry to hear you've had some difficulty with the breast-feeding, but it sounds like it's getting better, so that's great. Also - what a long day that must have been for you when they were born...so glad it ended with two happy, healthy babies! Truly, I am so relieved and happy to hear your update today. Jude - Congratulations, I'm so excited both babies arrived safe and sound! Sorry you had to go through both laboring and a c-section, but most important is they're both healthy. I hope your kiddos sleep better than mine, Audrey still thinks night time is for partying :) Congrats to both you and DH!!
