Angie, when you say that all is forgotten a beer or two later, did you mean after YOU have had the beer or DH???

Cause all it takes men is a yawn or a fart to forget things. Its us women who need help forgetting and forgiving and all that rubbish.

Oh, and don't you just love it (NOT) when they say "WE made......blah...blah, or WE did..........". When all they did is snooze in front of the telly, while we did all the hard work.

Ok, so lets start a new conversation. How useful or useless are all your DHs when it comes to housework (or any type of work outside the office)??

Well, you know once our Mir becomes a lawyer, I won't be able to beat her at anything. May as well attempt it now!

Carolyn,

I really really want to go away on a spa break, even if it for a weekend. As that is your area of speciality, do you have any suggestions that I can do without necessarily having to spend half of my salary? Its something I just absolutely HAVE to do this month. I don't want to go too far either, as will go for 1 night.

afraid i'll be the clear front-runner (winner) on this one (maybe i'm wrong.....just haven't met many women who are able to say same thing about their dh).....even before dh was retired -- he did LOTS around the house....he's so not good at being lazy  and now that he IS retired......i just got a phone call in fact -- saying he had completed the grocery shopping (as per MY list!!) he's going to be an amazing stay-at-home-daddy!!!

Hi ya ladies!!! Hmmm...only Angel and Angie is around?? I know Wishfull has had her two day pass granted, but where is everyone else? I know, busy at work like I was yesteday....

How are you girlies...

ok first things first!! ANGEL!!!! WHOO HOO, I was so happy to see ya!!! We miss your posts so much when you are quiet. And dont worry about me posts. We totally understand. If you dont have a place where you can vent you will go nuts. Feel free to post as many me posts as you need. No more nonsense of that ok.. oooohhhh...you want to plan a spa day?? That sounds do nice. And who better to ask about it then Wishfull, the QUEEN of spas!!! :D I know you girls will probably make fun of me, but I have never been to a spa. Is it the same in the US and Canada as it is in the UK??? Please educate the poor soul who has never been!! :P

Angie...HEY!!!! What is this?? Are you ganging up on me with Angel?? NO ONE can beat me at my own game...ha ha ha ha (can you hear the evil laugh???) Your husband sounds like a dream!!!! Can we switch please...just for a week??? Glad to hear your boss is outta your hair for a little while.

Sophie...where are you? Are you at home? How is your friend...come on come on... we are all waiting to hear the updates on work, you, and your friend!!!!

Thinking of you like always BECKY!!!!!

Lee, how is our PUPO MOMMA??? I was thinking about you so much this weekend. I hope you are taking it easy. How are you feeling???

About my weekend...well it was as good as can be expected. I had a HORRIBLE headache all weekend. It is just now starting to subside. I did get my laundry done, no homework...i just couldnt focus with my head hurting like that. BUT I finished it yesterday, so I am ok. It is due tonight at 11:59. Yes, I went to my Dad's and it was nice seeing him. I have always been a daddy's girl. i miss him...I miss being little... :)

This weekend my sister and I are going to be spending time together. I am not sure what we will do, but we are planning it!!! Hubby is going fishing...YUCK. I cannot fish, or hunt or anything like that. It makes me so sad. The one time I went with DH fishing...I made him put all the fish back. He laughs at me...Oh well.

Ok ladies, I will be around!! LOVE TOALL!!!

ok the husband talk...I agree Angie I think you will totally win. The only man I have ever met like your DH is my Daddy. My Dad did everything when my parents were married...cooking, cleaning, shopping, yard work...you name it, he did it.

hmmmm...my DH, is a big lazy butt!!!!!!! When we first got together the man did NOTHING!!! I thought I was going to kill him. But, slowly and with a whole lot of patience he is coming around. If I leave him lists he will get it done. But he will not just do something...he has to be told. (most of the time anyway). Last week he was off all week (no work) and I told him he would NOT be sitting around while I work and go to school. He had a goal...he had to have the lawn completely done, mowed, edged, the works. He had to clean the garage, make dinner every night, clean up from dinner, (i usually ended up cleaning after dinner) and laundry. He did it. But Thursday he told me, he was ready to go back to work. ha ha. I told him to imagine how I feel. I work a full time job go to school and do all of that!!!

Angie, you are so very lucky.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm my husband was brought up in a very traditional household by a spanish speaking chilean mama!!! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm housework, hmmmmmmmmmm whats that he would say??!!!??? He has absolutely no idea what looking after a house is like!! I left him a few weeks ago with a list of jobs, yes Miracle I have one the same he will do it if I leave a list but would not have a clue other wise!! The dinner was not ready because he couldn't turn the oven on and the washing was not done because he did not know what dial to turn!!!! ( We have only been our house a year so not long I guess!!!) HOWEVER should I attempt to pick up a drill or wash the car ABSOLUTE NO NO!!!!!!!!!! That is a mans job!!!! I have tried to change him over the years as I was brought up in a household where we all did everything but to no avail, and when MIL comes to stay I hand my house over to her as she has to do everything as the alpha female!!!! Once I got my head round that concept its quite nice to have a break for a couple of weeks every now and again!!!!
So I have decided to live in our house as a traditional couple, he is very much the man who goes out to work and brings home the bacon and I would be very much the wife at home, unfortunately for him I tried it for 6 months and got very bored very quickly so I work too but let him believe he is still the man of the house!!!!
I love him dearly however and now I know him inside out I wouldn't want him any other way he is the most kind, caring, gentle, gentleman I have ever met who still holds on to values such as ladies first, he carries all the shopping bags and opens car doors etc etc!!
So I would definately be at the bottom somewhere on any poll about your man doing housework in the house!!! He is very tidy tho does keep things tidy around the place!!

OK new topic new post Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I have such a long way to go to hit a 1000 posts!!!!!

Angel I liked your individual posts made us all feel very special!!! :D

As for my embies well hopefully they are doing their job, we have just had word from the clinic that our other 2 did not survive so this is our very last try.....................

I feel ok, bit of cramping like I had last time and boobies have started to feel tender over the last couple of days but I know that could be the progesterone side effects, but I guess I feel the same as last time and I got a BFP and the first time when I got my BFN i had no symptoms what so ever so keeping postive and hoping for the best.

Have been taking it easy up till Sunday and now just carrying on as normal, spent a lot of time in my garden yesterday as the weather is so beautiful at the moment, have transformed an area I had all stuff planted in as it looked really untidy so did quite a lot of work out there, but was very careful and took my time and have left the heavy digging for DH at the weekend.

Ok new topic new post!!

My celebrity status!!!!!!!

It was to do with the share the care week they have going on at the moment, its a drive to try and get more people to offer respite care and short breaks to families who have children with disabilities, so they put my picture in the paper and a few quotes from me as an advertising thing to try and get more people interested, was quite good fun, will try and find the link and post it so you can all see what I look like!!! And yes the zits were gone!!!

Miracle you absolutely have to try out a spa they are so much fun!!!!!! Once you have tried the delights they can offer you will be hooked!!! Go along, get your schedule, unpack your bags, get a good book if you like that or a magazine, go the the relaxation room, chill out read, sleep chat, whatever, go and have a facial, chill out some more, have a pedicure, try the sauna, go for a swim, go back for a body massage, have a sleep, go for dinner and a bottle of wine!!! Amazing.....................
They don't have to be mega expensive either just do a bit of research on the internet to find one, or speak to people someone may be able to recomend one to you.

Okay got fed up with doing the separate posts, see I do get bored quickly!!!!
Not sure when to give in to POAS maybe friday?, test date is next weds so still a week to go yet, last time I gave in 2 days before and it was a positive result so maybe give it a go friday,

Anyway have done 3 mega long posts so will go before you all get bored as I have talked about me I think in all of them!!!!!

Sophie hope you are chillin at home where are you we miss you............. :)
Carolyn look forward to seeing you back tommorrow............... :)
Hello to Becky time is ever creeping closer to your next try.......... :)
Angel so glad to have you back................. :)
Angie you are so lucky you did not have to house train your DH!! :)
Miracle remember to keep the balance between work, school and play, how has DH job gone this week, was it monday he was starting??.......... :)

Lots of love
Lee xxx

Hello guys,

So many things I want to reply to, but I have to catch my train... yup, will be at work from monday to thursday this week, meetings and presentations and stuff, I was complaining a lot on Sunday, but it turns out that I got practically all my work done as a result and you can believe me that I won,t lift a finger for work from next Monday on!

I just wanted to let you know that I'm not dead, but very tired all the same, that I think of you all, especially our PUPO queen and our soon-to-be PUPO, and that I think after you hear what DH did last Sunday I'll totally win that contest... ;)

I'll write ASAP, tomorrow morning at the latest.

Love,

Sophie xxox
