hi malya, today is march 1st! do hope your frustration level has eased and that you are getting excited about your upcoming cycle. Sadly, sometimes clinics only look at dates and patients and not people and their individual circumstances, which is unfortunate, but true in many cases. I also have first hand experience in this area. You either have to decide to accept how your clinic works, or find another one that gives you the attention you would like to have.
Got my fingers crossed for you that your lining develops and thickens according to plan and you can get to transfer your waiting embryos later this month! Good luck to you!

hi frosty, welcome!! sending lots of sticky baby dust your way for a BFP tomorrow!

siouxsie - how is everything going with you? When is your next scan? Do hope this time around all goes exceptionally well for you.

I got my official BFP and have my 1st scan this coming Friday. Looking forward to seeing what is going on inside!

wishing everyone a great week ahead! xx summer

Hi All

Have been out of the loop travelling with work for the last few weeks (ugh!) and now back and starting on the new IVF route.

Wow I can't believe how many BFP's there have been on this thread! Weird because the last fresh IVF thread I was on there were about 8 out of 11 BFP's also - the other common denominator being that I had the BFN on that thread too! Heck I really hope the trend starts changing (only that I join the BFP crowd!!)

Congratulations all - and malaya sorry to hear of additional troubles. This stuff is hard enough without the added extras.

I hope you are all well. I start down regulating on Thursday - so will keep around and in touch with those of you on this thread.

Best

Mel

Hello to all, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I had my first beta today and it came BFP 73 :D , I go back on Wednesday and I couldn't be more anxious. I did however started some minor spotting today but nothing major compared to the terrible day I had yesterday. I though I was going through lablor. I had the worst stomach/abdominal cramps ever for 4-5 hours and had been constipated for 2 days. I was literally on the floor crying with excruciating pain and sweating cold, I called my docotr and she suggested taking dulcolax (takes 6-12 hours) but I certainly didn't have that kind of time to be waiting for it to take effect. She suggested glycerin suppositories and let me tell you all, WHAT A RELIEF. Anybody ever felt like that, I really hope not :( .
She also told me that if my spotting continues that she will have me take the progesterone shots twice a day as apposed to just once.

Mel: Welcome back, I just joined this thread of wonderful women last week and it's great to have more join us again. Good luck with the new IVF Cycle.

siouxsie: Haven't heard from you, how did your 2/28 appt. go? We are all thinking of you and hoping to hear great news.

malya324: I hope this time around everything goes your way, wishing you nothing but the best cycle and great positive results along the way.

Hi ladies,

My last scan went well – measuring in at 5.9mm and 116hb which was appropriate for the dates. My next scan will be 3/7. I check in with my HMO tomorrow, but it’ll be mostly paperwork. I’m happy but also having a hard time accepting that this could really be it. I’m waiting for the bad news at every turn. Hopefully, I’ll be able to shake this soon.

Summerbaby
Congratulations! Hoping your scan shows that perfect little dot.

Thanks for your well wishes.

hi Melo - welcome back! This is going to be your time!! I know exactly how you feel about being on threads with lots of bfps, and there you are, one of the few bfns -- But, let me tell you -- It can and will happen!! I wouldn't believe it myself, if it just didn't happen to me after years of TTC on this IVF rollercoaster. Sending you lots of PMA and baby dust!

malya - here you go! In a few days I hope to read about a great lining!! Just go about your day like you did on that experimental cycle and you'll have a great result -- this time for real!!

frosty - congrats on your bfp! Best of luck with your 2nd Beta on Wednesday, and I hope the spotting isn't causing too much worry and has stopped. Has your RE measured your progesterone level?

siouxsie - all sounds like things are going according to plan! I can imagine your worry, but this time it is going to be different - stay positive and believe. Thinking of you and your next scan on the 7th.

xx summer

O.K. Here is an update. We are at 8mm for my lining! The highest I've ever had. If everything goes as plan, transfer is on March 23rd. We have another u/s and bw in the 17th and will be thawing embryos on the 19th. This time around no lupron, and no oral estradial but I taking 1mg of estradial twice a day vaginaly and so far so good. My 29th birthday is the 24 and we are traveling to Detroit for passover on April 8th. If all goes well we will have our first beta on the 2nd. Also my clinic is taping a documentary which we are participating in, it kinda bizzar to have someone taping over your shoulder while you're in stirups. Ok, so there is my update. hope all is well with all of you!

dear malya,
fantastic news!! Keep thinking those positive thoughts. Best of luck with your appt on Tuesday and transfer the following week!! What a wonderful birthday gift! Although that experimental cycle was frustrating, it looks like the doctors figured out a formula that works and you will be able to go all the way this time -- Thinking of you!!

Mel & sweetmomi - how are things going with you both?

Have a great week and stay positive,
xx summer

Hi Guys
Hope your well. Congrats Malaya - yeehah - a little bit closer!!

I am going okay - things not so great with DH (but who needs to worry about that added detail right now!) so life has been a little topsy turvy - but for better or worse still on track with the IVF cycle - another week of down regging and then start the stims end of next week all going well.

Maybe its the drugs kicking in - but starting to find it harder and harder to keep all of this under control and not go spiraling out of control with worry and fear about it not working / the debt / what I'll do if it fails etc etc.

Sorry rushing and too disorientated to do personals - but lots of baby dust to all you newly pregnant moms to be!! I hear that a pregnant woman wishing a want to be pregnant person is a good omen - so all rub your bellies for luck for me!!

take care

hi guys,

So we've had quite the week. My u/s and b/w on tues came back at 4mm but my estrogen was still high. RE (was out of town at the time) said, sometimes the lining doesn't show up even though it is the right thickness. told us to wait two days and we'll check again. Went in today, pessimistic and thinking this is a giant waste of time....... I'm at 9 almost 10mm! I have an inverted uterus and they had to push really hard to see it, but there is was. We thaw our ebryos tomorrow- all 19 of them and g-d willing we trasfer on my birthday- the 24th. Can't wait to at least see the quality of the embryos. For the time being you can't wipe the smile off my face. Called the Rents to tell them and mom said she could hear it. Start progesteron shots to night....ouch! wish me luck and that my butt doesn't get too sore. -its so wierd to be in a good mmod and all smiles for a change..... feels like I should get it under control before the next shoe drops.

malya - great news! good luck with the big thaw and keep us posted! sounds like you are on your way to transfer. No reason not to be feeling really good and happy and all smiles! We call that PMA and keep it going as long as you can and keep those negative thoughts as far away as possible! I'm so excited for you.

mel -- the hormones can really make us crazy during an IVF cycle -- Sorry to hear you and DH are having some trouble. Emotionally we are all over he place and it can really take its toll on a relationship. I can only advise you to focus on the positive and everything will somehow fall into place. Really, it will! Do hope your tmt is going well this time around and that you will be starting stimms soon. Keep hydrated, too!!

sending you both lots of baby dust!
xx summer

Nobody in their right minds could keep everything under control with all the hormonal and emotional stress. Give yourself a break and treat yourself to something special – whether it’s a long walk or a big slice of cake.

malya324
Hoping everything went smoothly for you on the thaw and you’re sitting pretty and relaxing in your 2ww.

Hi all, Here is an update. We transfered 2, 8 cell embryos on the 24th. (my 29th birthday- which was a little sureal) I'm still on bed rest now, I can get up tonight. We did get to freeze three embryos too, so thats good. I go in tomorrow for 1st b/w and same for next tues to check my med levels and then on the following friday the 3rd we'll have a beta test... really nervous. I'm glad I have to go in twice before the preg test, it kinda makes my routine normal. We are still part of the documentary althought my dr. doesn't always let them film what I'm doing. I'mm keep you posted.
