I am a little paranoid only because I have lost 2 pregnancies due to chromosome problems.. each time was a different reason and none are genetic just bad eggs I guess. I know there is nothing I can do about that. I am trying VERY hard to not rely so much on my past experience and to enjoy it! I will feel much better after my 1st trimester screenings. I have put my mind to walking, eating healthier and I always drink lots of water. I will do whatever I need to to stay healthy just like all of you.

Jennifer... CONGRATS... I am sure you are elated :-) You get one of each... how wonderful!!!

I lost my first IVF baby too. It definately added to my paranoia with this pregnancy.

My husband was my insiriation though. He adopted the attitude of "If it's going to happen again, it's going to happen again and we'll get through it like we did the first time."

I know it sounds cold but I think that it made things easier for him. Took pressure off his shoulders. I mean after all, what can we do really?

Besides trying to not get hit by a car or falling down a flight of stairs, we're helpless in keeping a preganncy that's not meant to go on.

My husband had the right idea I think. I was the nutcase.

But I'm glad that your trying. Sometimes that's all your brain will let you do.

So I have been waiting and waiting to know if I am having twins until my US and I still don't know. I am just at 6 weeks and had my US today. They saw one nice sac, fetal pole, etc.... Even a faint heartbeat which was great! But they saw another sac (or something else) also. They said it might be another embryo but it is about half the size of the other one. So they said it could be another one but that it may not make it. They also said it could just be fluid.... Like always I have to wait until the next appointment.

Did any of you have a big difference in the sizes of your embryos early on???

Sounds like a vanishing twin to me. Sorry you have to be so stressed out. I'm sure it'll work out in the end.

my babies are growing bigger...5 lb 11 oz, and 5 lbs 6 oz - its def getting harder to walk, move, turn in bed....getting anxious about when labor will start..anyway..

lilmd: i agree with silverangel...its better to find out early about this before you get attached to the feeling of having two, three, etc..good luck

silverangel: hanging in there? r u scheduled for induction or c-section or anything? my c-section is 3/25...we'll see if i make it that far...

jenniferdp: congrats again...babies are good fighters...i'll say a prayer for michael and sophia...hope u can bring them home soon!

Hi everyone, can't sleep again as usual so I thought I'd come on and shoot the breeze. To every one who's asked how I'm doing and stuff, I'm doing just fine. So done at this point and just ready to have it over.

The doctor schedualed me for a c-section at 39 weeks which would be April 7th, so I know no matter what it'll be over by then but I have an appointment with him this afternoon and I'm hoping he'll tell me I've started to dialate or eface or SOMETHING that would tell me labor is on the way.

Every time I get up from sitting down I hope to feel a gush of fluid run down my legs so I can can yell out "MY WATER BROKE!!!!" But besides some light period-like crampiness, no such luck yet.

The hubby and I did the deed the other day to try and get things going and I'm so feeling it. Any one else feel like they ran a marathon the day after sex?

I hope every one else is doing well and is more comfortable in their skin then I am at this point. Love to all.

Hey ladies,
i'm home from the hospital where i had no internet access...i had my twin girls on wed, precious healthy babies...5 lbs 11 and 5lbs 7 oz. They didn't have to be in the NICU and spent most of the day with us while we were there...DH also spent all 5 days with me there as well taking care of me and the babies.

I had a c-section as scheduled which for me was really tough. I had to have an epidural and a spinal anesthesia as the epidural didn't work...the rest was fine. The first few days in the hosp were tough...pain control was a real pain and i had a lot of it. I felt the docs were a little stingy with the pain meds.

Anyway, its nice being back at home. The first night with the girls was an eye opener for sure (literally)...i have my parents and in-laws here which was been helpful.

I'm so glad this IVF journey is over for me...we are truly blessed and i'm so thankful to have my miracles....

Congrats Silver angel!! Sounds like ur nookie helped in making the babies come faster! Good luck to you and ur DH!

Will be excited to hear all ur stories in the coming weeks!
