My husband and I are thinking about seeking treatment from CCRM in Denver. I know there have been posts about this clinic in the past - but I've looked and can't find them now.
Specifically, I am interested in stories from anyone who has been a patient with CCRM. I am a low responder and am nervous that if we cycle with them once, that they will kick us out of the program if we have a poor response. Has this happened to anyone? Conversely, has anyone had a poor cycle with CCRM and been allowed to cycle again?
I really appreciate any experiences you are willing to share...

I believe it was Lynniecat who posted that she went to CCRM, was initially told that they have no patient screening, paid $5,000 for diagnostics, and only then was told she could not do IVF there unless she passed a clomid challenge test and an AMH test. She was also told it would take a few months to be scheduled for these. So she went to Shady Grove instead and is well along in her pregnancy.
CCRM is a fine clinic, though. You can't get those pregnancy rates through patient selection alone. Their lab has a great reputation.
Ghost - I haven't been on the boards much the past few months, but it is nice to see you here! Thks for your advice - their success rates do seem almost too good to be true....

Almost everyone I've seen here had success with CCRM on their first try. I've followed their stories because I'm in Denver and had considered switching to CCRM at one point.
I do know someone personally who did one cycle with CCRM. I think she was considered a low responder and she didn't have age issues, was only about 30 at the time. They had a BFN and Dr. Schoolcraft did call them and ask them to do another cycle. They declined because they opted to adopt instead, but it's nice to know the offer was there.
We may consider cycling with them if we do IVF for baby #2 - I liked my RE but she's moved to a location that's much more inconvenient for me.

Hi Ghost! I don't post too often to this board but I read your stuff and have learned a lot from you. Thank you!
As for CCRM, I cycled with them and now have my daughter. I was a poor responder with an AMH of 0.6. I was 36 when I cycled with them. Dr. Schoolcraft was my RE. He took me as a patient knowing that I had a canceled cycle with another clinic. I have read about lynniecat's experience, too, though.
Ghost - Thank you for finding that thread for me. This is great information to have as we consider pursuing CCRM. I have done all of the tests and really want to move forward. After all, no matter what my test results - it is KNOWN that I'm a low responder after 3 IVF cycles, 1 of which was cancelled. Besides, what do these tests really tell us? My CCCT was normal, but my AMH is 0.3 - which, I understand, is pretty low. Argh. My RE didn't think our infertility had anything to do with me (DH has low count) until after that 1st failed IVF - and I've had another RE tell me he wouldn't consider me a low responder since I've made 10 eggs during a long-lupron cycle. argh.
Mellie - thank you for your information as well. My AMH is lower than yours and I'm about to turn 35....I'll be 35 by the time I have my phone consult with Dr. Schoolcraft.
kerpupples - Thank you to you as well for sharing what you know. I keep flipping back and forth between wanting to cycle with CCRM to know that we did everything we could - and between cycling locally in order to keep our stress levels low. ish.
If CCRM demanded that we repeat a bunch of these tests - it is quite possible that we would choose to go elsewhere....but for now, I guess we'll just see what they say at our consult in May.
Can't thank everyone enough!!!

I hear good and bad things about CCRM, the same complaint over and over is how it appears they turn down a lot of women who they believe could damage their statistics. I don't have a story to tell about how I was turned down. We have a male infertility issue and now have an amazing almost 4 month old little boy thanks to our successful IVF at CCRM.
I will share one story though. For the successful cycle, which was exactly a year ago btw, the doc adviced we cancel the cycle after spending an extra 2 weeks trying to thicken my lining. It was not "ideal" by their standards at around 6mm. I think thats a skimpy lining by most doc's standards. I was devistated so a friend f mine suggested I ask if I have the choice to go ahead or if they had the final say. I was very suprised to find out they said the final decision was mine not theirs. Obviously we went ahead and obviuosly it was a success. So, that leads me to think they probably don't attempt to have total control over their outcomes.
Anyhow....I wish all of you all the luck in the world. One of the 4 little embryos in the dish last year made it and he is now babbling away in a swing in front of me. I hope every one of you have BFP's very soon.
