Hey ladies busy bees on here!!!

So Carolyn are you still having some retail therapy??? Did you buy anything nice??? TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BLASTSSSSSSSSSSSSS how brilliant is that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And you got photos of your little ones that are inside momma did I read that right or am I making it up?? I agree with everyone else DH to the housework jobs!!!!!! Is he back away at work or is he home with you having some holiday time??

Miracle do you get to go to Dinsneyland lots???????? Or are you like most people never visit those places closest to you  ??????
Back to school for you now, bet that week flew by like it never happened. Oooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh sunburn honey naughty naughty!!!! Hope it feels better soon, definately go for aloe vera, slap it on, well not literally it might hurt if you slap it on but you know what I mean , you probably know better than anyone what to use living in the sunshine all the time!!!!
So glad your friend is home, hope she makes steady progress back on to the road to recovery, are you able to get to see her much?? Loved your itchy dog made me laugh!!

Sophie 'baby fully cooked' you are so funny!!! Have you the will power to resist all those urges of the junk food my will power is zilch!!!!!!!! I can't have any goodies in the house coz I just eat them straight away  I did avoid buying these little chocolate pots from Asda today when I was in there tho which is amazing for me as I loooooooove them so much I eat all 3 in one go then feel sick, you think it would stop me but it doesn't!!! so I had to make up for my urges and go buy some clothes instead!!!
I was just having that self same conversation with dsd the other day about the images in mags etc, we can't look like them becasuse they are not real due to airbrushing bla bla but still we look and want to look perfect too, its so frustrating!!! You might be lucky and it will all snap back into place and if not then you will be able to get it off again, you have before so you can again its just a pain in the a** doing it!!! Hope you feel a bit better about it all tommorrow...........
You know you are in the 2ww in a way, you are in your 2ww until baby comes, feling all those wierd things going on inside your body or not!! just as we do when our embies are in and we are trying to analyse what is happening, I had never thought of it like that before,

Rachel happy birthday to Ruby, have you had a fandabidozie day?? What did you all do to celebrate, has her first year gone in a flash??

Image

Angie hope all is well with you, have you got your nose to the grindstone at work???

Angel, I like your individual posts!! Have you got better weather over on your side?? Its been raining here today booooooooooooo,

Sabi, how are you, you have been through the mill. That is brilliant that you got to meet your donor and you like each other, I have a brother in law from Ohio not sure where tho, they live in Florida now.

Nicky how are you doing?? Has the sunshine arrived yet??

Nothing to report from me cept have been having some off the cuff conversations with some of my fostering and adoption buddies and all seems to be looking good for us for when we start the process, getting impatient now even tho its only been a few weeks since we decided to go down the adoption path, my problem is I like everything to happen straight away once I have decided on something!!!

Lots of love to you all

Hi Lee!

i am a dum dum... for getting sunburned. I know it. Nope, I never go to Disney. Disney World is in Orlando, Disneyland is in California. I have been too both. Disney World is much better. My family works there so untill my kiddies come, I probably wont go much. DH and I do want to go to the Animal Kingdom. It is like a zoo...but MUCH MUCH better. The environment for the animals is very real. They arent in a cage...very beautiful. Very natural.

Aww...getting excited about adopting. That is Great Lee. You have to look foward to something. And that is an awesome something. You will be a Mummy soon, I know it. You will be an amazing mother Lee. That child will be so lucky.

Shopping huh?? Cool beans. Did you have a good time? Thank you for the kind words about my friend. I am going to see her Saturday. I am going to take her to get a pedicure. Some girl time. She feels ugly. She had to cut her hair because of being in the hospital so long it was matted. So with her scars and short hair and not being able to walk "normal" she feels ugly. Well...what do best friends do??? Cheer them up and make em' feel beautiful...my work is calling...du du ta dah....(can you hear my super woman noise???) i want to buy her a hands free head set for her house phone. She drops it a lot... and gets frustrated. Poor baby.

How funny...it seems when one Mommy posts others do too!!! How is that beautiful baby girl of yours?? How are you doing?

Any plans for another go? A baby brother or sissy for Eva? Sorry, I dont remember your circumstances...

Love hearing from you. Of coarse "Old timers!" are always welcome. Thank you for the kind words!!!

I know, we are like sheep!! or is that buses?? you don't see us for ages ten we all appear at once

Eva is 8mnths and doing just grand and keeps me on my toes 7/24 hence my absence from the forum !!

As for any siblings well, if a small miracle happens and it happens naturally then we would love a wee brother or sister for her - we didn't get any frosties from any of our cycles and I don't think I could go through tmt again - mostly due to financial but also the emotional side of it.

I hope the sunburn is getting better - I'll send some of Eva's mitts over to stop you itching !!

Sophie, the last few weeks are frustrating, never knowning if today's the day but it will come promise!! Those cervix's are little blighters aren't they - mine didn't wanna open for no one!

I understand about the weight gain too and the need to feel sexy and beautiful - but seriously when your running around feeding, changing and doing the daily domestic stuff, believe me it does start coming off - I also joined Weightwatchers in Feb and I have signed up to do a couple of running events in the summer so I now need to train to get fit so also helping with the weight loss - its a great motivation. i've still got about 7lbs to go to my target weight and when I do, I'm going out to buy the best sexy underwear that is out there as my reward!! (and my hubbies  )

You will get there again, honest, it just hard to imagine probably right now!

oh spooky - as I said in my post to Mir, Eva keeps me busy during the day from 7am to 7pm and then I have to do dinner and then I'm exhausted to do much else - she is sleeping at the mo so thought I would jump on here again - amazing how much you can cram in 2hrs when she naps!!

I'm going back to work at the beginning of May, however my company offered my voluntary redundancy so have taken that which means that I leave at the end of May - so only back for 4 weeks then I leave   Great thing is that there is 2 bank hols and I have 4 days leave to take!! It was too good an opportunity to miss and it means that I can now spend real quality time with Eva in her first couple of years.

I have everything crossed for you Carolyn, the signs are all looking good and loving the PMA!!!

Also just wanted to say hello to those I don't know, you sound a great bunch of girls and this is a great thread to join!

Hi guys!

Wow, we've got busy bees buzzing around today! yay! :D

Lee,
Hi there girlie! Ooooh, it's great to hear that you're getting excited about adoption! :D:D *jumps up and down* I'd LOVE to hear more details about your adoption plans and the procedure, and so on, if you feel like talking about it. THanks for your kind words of encouragement. You,re SO right, we do know that pictures are airbrushed but our brain STILL plays tricks on us and we STILL aspire to look like that... gah... I mean, I looked at the Beyonce video the other day, All the single ladies... and man, i was looking at the thighs on those three girls and wondering how much airbrushing had been done to make them look so smooth.. but still wished I could have legs like that! LOL! And about the urges, well... it's easier to force yourself into respecting really strict rules when you only think it's for 1,2,3 weeks tops! ;) I love eating chips, dessert, or fries once in a while! :) I love baking so much... oh, but by the way, if you want a recipe for a nice chocolate guilt-free pudding, here's something you've got to try:

1 can of light coconut milk + enough milk to make 2½ cups
3-4 tbsp milk
3 tbsp cornstarch
¼ or 1/3 cup sugar
3 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp vanilla

Heat the milk in the microwave until warm. In a bowl, mix the 3-4 tbsp of milk with the cornstarch, then add the cocoa powder, the sugar and the vanilla. Mix well until completely dissolved. Pour into the warm milk and mix well. Cook in the microwave until the mixture thickens (takes mine about 4-5 minutes). Pour into little bowls.

This is my grandma's recipe, which I modified. One day I had leftover coconut milk, tried it instead of regular milk, and it gave the pudding a whole new, creamy, amazing texture without altering the taste too much. I made this chocolate version, but you can make a vanilla or any flavor version. And I say it's guilt-free, because coconut milk allows me to cut down the sugar by 75% and light coconut milk only has 40 calories per ¼ cup, which does not even represent 1 portion of the pudding (given that you complete with milk)!

Okay, I,ve babbled long enough... time to follow Angel's example and make another post! LOL!

Hi Carolyn I will come out to play, manicure sounds nice, I could do with some pampering, not had any for a while  your 2ww feels like it is going so quick because you had a 5 day transfer, when is your official test?? Do you have a blood test or POAS test.

Ok going to sainsburys now, lots of people over this weekend sat and sun for dinner so need to do some food shopping, hoping I will get some inspiration of what to cook tonight, tommorrow doing tandoori chicken but cannot think what to do for tonight!!!!!!!

Sophie thanks for the cake recipe I am going to give it a go today, I have my friends daughter here with me today and our 13 yr old who comes every other weekend so they will enjoy having a go at making a mess in my kitchen!! and just had a call to have back the 2 littlies I had just before our last cycle, to stay for a weeks respite for their foster carer who has them now, I couldn't resist as they were so gorgeous so really looking forward to that. Quite liking doing all this respite, get all the fun times with them and then they go back before all the bad behaviour starts!!!!

Traci, intimidated, just a passing thought!! Once you get stuck in and finished you will think what was I intimidated for!! Know what you mean tho I just looked at my new module and the assignment they want and thought Arrrrghhhh can't do that and switched it off!!! LOL haven't gone back to it yet either but I will next week!!!

Ok gotta go have to be back for 2.00 to do some lesson planning with a couple of other foster carers and I am supposed to be on a break, I don't know the meaning of the word!!! I just can't do it for more than a week coz I get so bored!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not long till London tho 2 more weeks waayyyyyyyyyyhaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy!!!

I'll be back xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
