Good luck to you ladies who are doing ET. Wishing you all a lot of success!

Dixie_chop : Sorry to hear about your issue. On the bright side, if your embryos must be frozen and transfered later, I hear the success rate for FET is much better than fresh ET. It might be a sign...a good sign.

I had my U/S again today for CD9. Still only 2 follicles that are maturing on the right. There are a handful of little ones. Looks like I'm a slow responder to the meds. My CD8 E2 level was only 303 from 187 on CD7. I hope my cycle doesn't get cancel. So bummed out. The FSH injections are really difficult. The injection sites are sore and puffy it's hard to sit up straight.

Well my transfer is scheduled for 1:15 today. I plan on transferring two and doubt that I'll have any to freeze, but we'll see when I get there. Wish me luck!

My transfer went well. I transferred 3 blasts, only one was good quality, the others werent so good, but they made it to blast?? So we'll see. My beta is not scheduled until May 27th! Becasue it fell on Memorial day and the day after that is my first day back to work so it will have to be Wed. I will test by this weekend so it doesnt matter anyway, as soon as I get a + they will have me come in for my beta.

Neffi211- Glad to hear your ET went well- 3 blasts! any frozen? My transfer was today also- we tranferred 2 what they called early blastscysts- It seems a similiar situation as you- we had 5 embryos on day 3 waited for day 5 (today) 1 did not make it, 2 are doing just okay, and the 2 strongest- still not 100% but according to RE and embryologist they were good. We will find out tomorrow if the remaining 2 will be candidates for freezing; at this point I am doubtful. My beta is scheduled for May 22- I have a feeling they will be the longest 10 days of my life!

Faith 03- the BW should test your estrodial and progesterone levels and if they are not where your RE wants them they will adjust your dosage.

May/June cycle

Post by linderz »

I am starting Lupron 5/18 and shooting for early June retrieval and transfer.
Interestingly because the injection and hormones, money strain ect, isn't worrying me at this time. I'm more interested in how to juggle working and all the appointments, how did everyone handle this. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

new to this thread...

Post by Jumbles »

Hi everybody! I'm new/late to this thread, so I hope you don't mind me jumping in at the 11th hour.

To introduce myself: I'm 36y/o & DH 35, Endometriosis Stage IV, lap done about 3 yrs ago, DH has very low count & bad morphology, currently on IVF cycle #3. Did 2 cycles last year that didn't take.

Went through retrieval on Monday - 11 retrieved, 9 mature, 5 normally fertilized & 2 maybe fertilized, waiting today for an update on the embryos. GOD! I hate the waiting!!! Tomorrow is our 3day transfer. We shall see!

My protocol included Nuva Ring, 225 Gonal-F 2x/day, Luveris, and Ganirelix, and 4+ months of 100mg DHEA. Starting this past Monday with Retrieval, Progesterone in ethyl oleate injections every morning, and progesterone suppositories at bedtime.

We are facing a move across the country by this July, and a new job for me, so this is probably our last attempt w IVF. We've been very fortunate in that DH's insurance has covered 90% of our costs, so if anyone is looking for jobs w insurance that helps out, please feel free to email me.

It's a tad bit odd to me that after everything we've been through so far, this, our last cycle, I'm not as baby crazy as I've been with the other cycles. I'm feel like I'm just going with the flow, watching from the outside except for the sharp ouches that come with the injections. Am I the only one or do any of you out there get to the point where there's an emotional detachment too? I'm not sure if this is healthy (I've also started meditating) or if it's my brain & body preparing to move on.

Anyway... Good luck to all of you May cyclers!

Bad news - positive beta, but my level was only 12 and they wanted to see 50. I have to go back Friday, but they aren't optimistic, so I guess I'm not, either. I'm pretty upset. I think it would have been easier to deal with a negative than a positive that won't last. *sigh*

Anyone have a low #1 beta and go on to be pregnant?

Jumbles - that is totally normal!!! When i started this cycle, i was very unemotionally involved. it think its a product of failed attempts and a precautionary to have your guard up. if you aren't emotionally involved you can't get hurt from another failed attempt. at least thats my thought on it. I was not like this my previous attempts. Getting pregnant and having kids was all I could think about. I think you will get more involved as the cycle goes on. For me, the egg retrieval was my point were that wall broke down. i am involved again, maybe too much, but we'll see when i get my beta. :-) keep working at it and stay positive!
statsgodess - try to stay positive, you will be in my prayers, keep us posted
eve2860 - congrats on all the follies
Neffi211 - we must be pretty close, my ET was yesterday, so we are both 2ww!!!

So, I had my ET yesterday. One blast transfered. Still have 10 others that they will watch and freeze. I should hear on friday how many they were able to keep. My bedrest isn't up until sunday and I feel like I am going crazy. I want to clean this house so bad!!! I have been in bed/couch since last friday. But I know that this is whats best. Plus I paid the price for the little walking I have done. Up again last night at 12pm feeling sore. I feel ALOT better but still have little bouts of soreness here and there. THe only bad news is the RE said that if the egg implants, once my bodies hormones kick in, the fluid will build back up around my ovaruies and I will be back in pain. I cried soo hard at the office when they told me that. the thought of that pain again makes me sick. Hopefully with the proper diet and taking it easy, I can aviod it getting as bad as it was earlier this week. I guess thats the sacrifice of having a baby.

Does anyone know how many days before you can take a HPT?[/b]
