Sue (Squew) - Thanks for your advice. I have an ordinary syringe too - DH has to do it. I tried again this morning and syringe just bounced off tummy!! But DH saved the day. Glad we are at the same stage and hope to hear from you soon.
Sarah - Until I read this site on Friday, I didn't realise auto injectors were available! May ask clinic when I next visit although I think DH is quite enjoying stabbing me!
Just a quick update - Am on day 4 of my Gonal F injections and am due a scan on Wednesday to see if I'm reacting well. Hope so!
Has anyone every questioned themselves after injecting as to whether you have in fact had any fluid in the syringe???? Today I started to panic as I still have plenty of fluid in the vial (although they told me to expect extra left over) and it's been playing on my mind whether I did it right today! I wish it was a different colour instead of clear but then again it couldn't be that simple eh!
nickie everything is a worry when you are doing tmt. Do not worry about what is left just make sure you take your time and double check everything you do.
I took gonal f a couple ot times and it depends on what dose you are on to what you have left as you have to mix the water into it. I was on a high dose and had to do two injections so please do not worry. When have you got your next scan.

been in tmt for 4 years.Male factor. Have had 3 icsi, one ivf with donor sperm.Went for fet with 7 eggs but none made it to blastocyst. just had 5 DI. test date 27 july
Just a quick update from me........had my DIUI yesterday (monday) felt nothing..........so hassle free compared to IVF.
Its all in the lap of the gods now who knows.........I am not getting my hopes up like I did for my IVF, so neither being positive nor neg! but still keeping my bloody fingers crossed!
Well on day 3 of my bureselin. Feel ok so far except bad pmt, but think I had that last time, I know I felt pretty grim towards the end and my af was delayed, but once I started on Gonal f I felt fantasic!!
My clinic doesnt have auto injectors to my knowledge, I inject in my thigh, and alternate each night!!! Dont think I could handle my tummy, Karen!!
Karensmif- Dont worry about only 1 embie, there is definately someone who is pg at the mo on the otherside who only had 1, after all its all it takes! Good luck and think positive
Jen f- good luck on the 2ww!
Thinking about getting signed of by my Doc once things progress as found it very stressful last time juggling, also we dont tell anyone except my best friend(my choice!)

Sue-I dont know if its different with auto injector but I did my firrst jab in my thigh and it really stung-could feel the needle go in.....But if I do it in my tum-cant feel a thing-probably cos theres more flesh!
Susan-will be thinking of you tomorrow @ EC.hope they get lots of nice juicy eggies......dont forget lots of water afterwards.....fingers crossed for fertilisation too xx

well I have made a cock up. well got up later and I'm ment to test lh surge early. well did the test then my sister phoned on phone for 1 hour looked at test and i had 2 lines so phoned clinic they are not happy as they are short staffed and I should of phoned at 8 not 11. well said i was sorry and was not bothered if we went ahead I could wait to next month.
well she phoned me and i'm going in at 2.30 so hope this is fate....
well can not beleive i will be on the 2 week again.... no no no no no.

I have just had the strangest conversation... a girl I have worked with for 10 years (who has 2 kids) came up to me and said "no kids yet" so I explained briefly that I have had 1 ep and 2 m/c and she said "I am so pleased for you... I didn't think you could have kids"..... is it me or is that a very strange thing to say. How can anyone be pleased that I have lost 3 pregnancies in the last year! Oh well mustn't let it get to me....

Nickie88, I always have a bit left in the syringe as well. I use an autoinjector and always wondered whether that is the reason.
I go in for my first scan next Tuesday - so looks like EC / ET will be around Easter.

Dolly-I cant believe the lady you work with..........Perhaps she meant(but did not say very tactfully) that it was a +ve sign that you can get pg..
Some people have not got a clue! Am not making excuses for her but maybe its only people going through fertility issues that really understand.....
