angie- even though I am in the US, I watch a lot of the UK reality TV too. Except I am always a couple of days behind since I have to download it after it airs. I watched the UK apprentice when it recently aired, I watched britains got talent and I am watching UK big brother, but I am atleast a week behind, I am planning on catching up tonight since there is nothing on in the US tonight. I also watched that show, boys and girls alone when it aired. Let me know if there are any shows you are watching right now that are good and I can download them and give them a try. Summer time is so slow for tv that I am always looking for new ones to watch.

Angie, I will post my thoughts about UK BB in a day or 2 when I catch up some, I know I am way far back, since I went away last week. I have no idea who is still on it but will find out soon. In the beginning, I liked Rodrigo, who seemed super nice and friendly, I also like Angel from Russia, even though she was a bit weird. I am mad that Cairon (the black american) is acting foolish, he started off nice but as soon as there was a confrontation his true colors came out. I think sophie (dogface) seemed nice and down to earth too. I did not like the girl who left, saffia...she seemed very two-faced to me. Siavash seems like a jerk. Sophia, I know she got voted off, but I think they made her look bad, and her laugh was super annoying. Freddie (halfwit) is creepy. I would love to hear you thoughts, maybe without giving anything away, i will not check this thread until I catch up some.

Michele, I agree with most although I really don't know whats up with Angel! I wont say too much yet though so you can catch up. Freddie (Half wit) is so strange and could not sit on the fence more if he tried! Sree reminds me so much of someone I knew who was a creep its freaky.

If you like cooking programs celebrity master chef is great but you probably wont know most of the celebrities (at least this seems to be the problem I have when I watch the US celebrity reality shows).

TV is not that great here at the moment either. A couple of months and we will have X factor.

Its funny isn't it how you watch British tv and we watch all the US programs like Grey's Anatomy, CSI, Private Practice, NCIS, etc as soon as we can get them.

I know angie- I wish they would just broadcast everywhere so we could all watch them all, atleast in the countries where everyone speaks english, like US, UK and Australia. I watched an episode last night (would have watched 2 if I was not immersed in michael jackson news) and will watch one or two more tonight and probably a bunch tomorrow night since there is nothing on saturdays, except for all the michael jackson stuff that will be on now.

I watched your celebrity big brother even though I only knew the american celebs like latoya, coolio and vern troyer, it was still fun.

Maybe you can explain to me about the censorship laws? When we watch big brother, they swear so much and it is not bleeped out, they say the F word all the time, but then when it is a live show, davina comes on and says you are live on channel whatever, please do not swear? Why is it ok all the rest of the time, but not when they are live...it baffles dh and I when we watch it.

Do you know when the finale of the current UK big brother is? I don't want to look it up and catch spoilers until I am caught up with the show, I just wonder how far behind I am? Maybe you can tell me how many people are left right now and that will help me judge how far back I am. I have trouble following the schedule, it seems like there are episodes on almost everyday, but live ones not so often...when are the live shows on?

There have only been 3 evictions so far, we are watching 4th eviction show now. Live shows are on Fridays normally but they like to mix it up sometimes.

They can broadcast some words after 9pm like the F word but I don't think they can say the C word or M F. On the live shows they say please do not swear because they do not have time to react to any really serious words. The censorship is a lot more relaxed here. We always find it funny how everything is covered in America.

I watched US BB once and I was really confused, it seemed really different to the UK one.

There are shows on every day, but I don't see all of them as they normally start at 10pm and I am normally starting to fall asleep! Especially at the moment. LOL

Yes, US BB and UK BB are very different. The US one airs 3 times a week, one is usually a live eviction, but all 3 always have an "event." Such as a head of household competition, or a food competition or a nomination ceremony. I think the UK one is on way too much. It seems like on the UK one, sometimes they air an entire hour of someone cooking dinner, or people smoking ciggarettes, I get bored with it sometimes. One thing I don't like about the UK one is that after the live show airs and someone gets evicted, then the next episode they go back and show us stuff including the person who just got kicked out! It somehow seems out of order. But I still enjoy watching it, because it is reality TV and I am a junkie...and the accents are so cute! I am fascinated by regional vocabulary differences...like the other night I think one of the girls ask someone if they had "snogged" yet? Or smoking "fags" and do you "fancy" someone...so cute. Sometimes dh and I have to stop and google a term if we can not figure it out in context...lol.

I can't wait to catch up and talk about it...

Just thought have you seen Big brothers little brother or big brothers big mouth? These are both related programs on regularly . I haven't really watched them this time but you may find them amusing!

Angie- Ha, I am still confused about snogging, at first I thought it meant intercourse, but when I looked it up, it said kissing. I have to stop usually once an episode to google something. They confuse me with fancy too, I am not sure if they mean like, as in a romantic way? But then they will say things like they fancy chocolate...I guess it is both kind of likes.

I think I caught up, I have not been watching any of the little brother episodes because I am not sure what they are. I have just watched the daily and live eviction big brother shows, and I may have missed a few here and there.

I saw Angel and Cairon get evicted. Angel was very strange...definitely a unique individual. I am shocked that Sree has not been nominated yet, he drives me up a wall, I can't stand how obsessed he is with Norine. I started off with no opinion of norine, but I am started to dislike her bossiness and attitude. I also find marcus a bit creepy, he is obviously secretly liking norine. I think dh and I are routing for Rodrigo, we like him. He makes us laugh, and he is so innocent and sweet about everything. I kinda like Siavash too, especially since cairon has left, it seems like siavash has been a lot nicer since his buddy left.

We were curious to see if they would tell the big brother house about the michael jackson death. I think if it happened during the US big brother, they would show it, but we weren't sure how UK big brother would handle it. I do not know how big MJ was over there, I saw signs in the crowd that said RIP. Did they tell them and I missed it, or did they not tell them?

HR- OMG the bachelorette this week! I am glad Jake came to try and out Wes, but I can't believe she fell for his song and dance. Even if she chooses him in the end, she is going to be watching these episodes air now when he is saying things like "I have a record to sell" and "My objective was to promote my career." How will she feel when she sees that?

I was suprised Ed came back and that she kept him, but they seem to have a connection. I was sad to see Michael go, and it broke my heart how hurt he was, he really really liked her. I think out of who is left, she will pick Kypton or Ed, I guess I am just hoping she figures Wes out and I just don't see what she sees in Reed. The previews from next week show her questioning wes about the girl and he slips and calls her his girlfriend. She should know that Jake is not lying...It is getting very interesting though.

Dh and I have been sat here laughing so much! Snogging is kissing.Fancy can be romantic or wanting something. I never really thought about that comparison!

Noreen is very bossy and really picked on Angel just before she left. I think Rodrigo is great, I normally agree with everything he says. I like Karly too because her character is so different to how you would think she would be. Marcus is sleazy!

They have not told them about MJ I don't think. They only really tell them if it is really major e.g. when it was the London bombings and it could affect their families.

MJ was huge here in his day and their was a lot of excitement about the upcoming concerts at the O2 in London. All the papers are full of the stories and his music is in the charts again.

Angie- I think I am pretty caught up with big brother now. We are about 5 hours behind you, so the shows usually pop up around 7 pm our time, we download it and watch it the same night if we can. We will get behind again next week because we are going out of state for my brothers wedding for 4 days next weekend.

I really do not like Sree, I hope he goes this week. I kinda feel bad for freddie (halfwit). I think he gets picked on. i know he is really annoying, but I do not think he talks behind anyone's back, and he is honest and level headed. I really would be disappointed if he got voted off and Sree stayed. I can't stand how obsessed sree got with norine, but at the same time, I hate how norine led him on in the beginning and now she is being all mean to him.

My favorite is still rodrigo, by a mile. He makes me laugh and he is such a happy-go-lucky person. I also like siavash more and more each time. I didn't like him to start because he had a bad mouth, but now he seems to get along with everyone. Other than that, I don't have many opinions, I could give or take anyone else.

I am looking forward to seeing the eviction show.

HR- where are you girl? I have no one to talk about the bachelor with...

HR- Just so you know, I just read online that US big brother premieres Thursday July 9...figures, the day I will be driving to go to my brothers out of state wedding 8 hours away! Maybe we will be in the hotel by then to watch, but I know my brother and fiance have a whole schedule of events for everyone. I will have to remember to set the DVR. They have some info on the CBS website, including houseguest photos. I can't wait!

Michele I;m with you on the reality tv LOVE IT. I should have seen this thread a while ago . I am pumped about big brother we love it. I am not going to look online for anything b/c I dont want to spoil anything just in case. I even have DH hooked on big brother. Tjhank goodness for DVR or i'd never watch tv.

I also watch the bachelor Im glad that Ed came back. His super hot and tall and seems sweet. Wes is a joke. It kinda annoys me though that at the rose ceremoryback when jillian called everyone out that someone said the people have g/f's I think i remember jake saying he's there for the right reasons and if anyone has a g/f he wants to know. So if he sopposly knew that wes had one why did he say that and not speak up. It's kinda annoying that she doesnt see through Wes' bullsh*t.

Oh Katie- I watch them all! Just about...as you can see, I even have dh download british shows so we can watch them. Right now I am watching america's got talent (but I am not that into it yet), the bachelorette, the newlyweds, and UK big brother. I recently watched I'm a celebrity get me out of here and britains got talent. I am definitely looking forward to the US big brother starting next week. It looks like they are making the US big brother house all eco friendly, and they cast everyone to fit cliques or high school groups, like the jocks, geeks, outcasts, etc. Should be interesting.

My favorites are the bachelor/bachelorette, amazing race, survivor and big brother. I also like idols and I really enjoy the newlywed show, I think it is funny. In between all the big ones I just named, I find whatever I can to keep busy, whether it is extreme makeover or wife swap. I like watching extreme makeover when I can mostly b/c I worked at sears for 10 years (Ty actually came to my store once for a build) and I enjoy seeing all the sears stuff in the houses, and the stores they visit during the show.

Which shows do you watch, or which ones are your favorite?

Oh, and I agree with you about jake. At first I figured maybe wes didn't confide in him until after, but when he confronted wes the other night, he said to him when Jillian called them out at the rose ceremony, wes thumped him in the back of the head...so obviously they already did have that conversation. I can't believe she is not seeing right through him, but I guess we all get blinded by "love" or a good looking, sweet talking, song singing boy at some time in our lives, right?

Michele.You have to watch lats nights bb, I think you'll like it. The only thing is as you said why are they being so mean to Freddie. I don't think it's fair really. Siavash is starting to show his character too and I think he is quite nice really. I hope they get Marcus out soon.

angie, I watched it, the eviction one, and I was so happy Sree left. He really annoyed the heck out of me, I can't stand clingy people. Like I said, I understand that freddie seems like a very annoying and pompus man, but I also think he is a very smart game player and really "gets" people. His assessments of peoples character and thinking when he is in the diary room is spot on. I even noticed during the show last night, when marcus and sree were fighting in the garden, norine piped up and told sree to stop and then when sree kept going, freddie piped up and told him to stop and then Lisa jumped all over freddie telling him to keep quiet. She didn't say anything to norine, it was like she targeted freddie. I am really curious to see if freddie will be nominated again. I also think siavash is showing to be a nice person. We were laughing so hard with the costumes he had to wear as a fashionista. So I am routing for rodrigo, and siavash is my second favorite. Right now marcus and norine are both annoying me. I am going to have to catch up again after I go away next weekend, and it is really starting to get interesting...and of course US big brother starts this week too...ugh, so much tv, too little time!
