Hi Guys
Great list Rio i can't beleive how quickly 1st birthdays are creeping up it almost makes me clucky well i am actually but we've decide two is the perfect number for us you can always spoil two.
Suga your day sounds busy chasing the girls around Katie isn't even crawling so theres no chasing her yet mind you i do need to chase ds away from her at times he seems to play with her like he would an older child and at times needs reminding she is still a baby he's not deliberately hurting her he just doesn't realize she can't do these things yet.
well i'm off to the doctors with ds hes home from kindy with a cold and slight temp and just wanted him to get checked out in case he has tonsilitis or something starting i don't suspect swine flu seeing we haven't been anywhere to catch anything but you never know

take care all Jomaexxx

Jomae - Sorry about DS and his temp/cold. Declan is still recovering from a really nasty cold. I hate when they are sick and I can't really help them feel better.

Suga - God I know what you mean about the babies getting into everything! I am excited for Dek to walk, but am teriffied at the same time. He is hard to keep up with. And your comment about how much you love them made me smile. I never knew how much I could possibly love until I had my precious one. :)

Rio - Thanks for reposting the list. Can you believe how fast this year is going? Suga, Sassy, Michele and Corny will be celebrating birthdays just next month! Has anyone heard from Sassy lately?

Well, I see my RE this Thursday for a baseline u/s and if all is well I will start lupron on Monday. I am so anxious to do this cycle! I just want to be pregnant already!

Washington- congrats on the wedding! and such a pretty girl!

Corny & Mellie- have a safe, happy and boring pregnancy and kiss that little Abby and Evie for me!
it's really great!

best of luck for BFPs for Gecko, CT and Katie (and any of the rest of you trying)!!!

CT- that is some swingset- Ella is one lucky pumpkin! all the kids will want to come to your house

KBear- how's the summer going for you? PM me and we can plan to meet-

Rio- wow he's such a big fella! I hope you will be able to wean him successfully so you can get on track to start your cycle.

suga- yeah, i cannot imagine. Pulman is walking and crawling so fast that I can't keep up with him- one minute he's playing in the middle of the floor, next he's 25 feet away!- while I would have loved twins - two right now must be wild- my mom must have been a saint!

Jomae! great to hear from you, i was just about to go looking for you!!! What a sweet baby you have- she is beautiful- sorry to hear about the flu- hope it passes fast

Gecko- sucks about the furlough - and we will now be in the wonderful world of daycare. I am not looking forward to the colds and such. Are you considering staying at home when your next one is born?

Weezie- great pix of gavin- hope the skids are behaving. did i read you are going to try for #2? do you have frosties? Awesome!!

anyone have to start from scratch with her cycle? we have no frosties, and if we do ivf again, we'll have to, don't know if we will, but if we had frosties, it would be an easier decision to make

tina- great to hear from you i love that your little one is eating everything! and peanut butter- it seems to me that if you give it to them early, they should be fine with it-

Pulman is walking like crazy- he loves to stand and grab onto things then use them to walk around. I finally got him a walking toy (it says 10months +) and was a bit tall for him, but dh drilled a couple of holes and lowered the bar for him- we are hoping this is the 1st and last time we'll have to lower the bar for P! hee hee:lol:
he seems happy and i'll post some Independence pix and walking pix -hopefully today. P has never really had a cold- he had a stuffy nose at like 2months, but he seems now to have either allergies or a cold - watery eyes, runny nose etc- but doc is out of town for the week, so can't take him in. ick i just hate a snotty baby! and he just hates me wiping his nose!
P is eating all sorts of things, but still has no teeth- I could have sworn he was teething last week, but nothing! still a toothless grin.
OH- and he stood up unassisted this morning! just stood up- ok- it was just for a second, but none the less, he did it and looked at me liek, yeah, no big deal! and this crawling thing gets him so messy- i think my floor is clean until i pick him up

we enjoyed watching Wimbeldon- though I don't play tennis, i do love to watch a good match, and P was very obliging -and when he was not, i had Tivo
In the fall, i go back to school full time and teach 20hrs (ahhh) so P will be in daycare- $280/week  i still feel torn.
ah well, it's just for a little while

ok- all for now- need to get stuff done while he's napping

hugs to all!

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't posted for awhile, boy life is hectic. I checked out all the photos on photobucket, and jeez the babies are absolutely beautiful. I can't believe we are coming up on first birthdays, how wonderful. And two with new additions on the way, yippee and I'm sure more BFP's right around the corner.

Rio, we are lagging behind all of the October babies, but Katie's birthday is December 4.
We had an interesting week last week, Katie got her 6 month immunizations (she was almost 7 months), and then she had a fever on and off for three days. The DR said perfectly normal, just keep giving her Tylenol. I hate seeing her sick, but especially with the fever, she just wasn't her active bubbly self. Once she started raising her legs and thumping her crib again, we knew she was back to her old self.

Katie is sitting on her own, but cannot pull herself up from a lying back position yet. I don't think she will ever crawl, because she refuses to spend any time on her belly. I put her on the floor the other night to give her some tummy time, within 30 seconds she had flipped herself onto her back. She is a stubborn little girl, but she gets that honestly between DH and myself. She is putting weight on her legs alot, so she may just go to walking in a few months and skip crawling all together.

My little girl does not like solids. She will eat them every once in awhile, but she usually just gives you the gag face and tries to push the food out with her tongue, this is baby food, crushed adult food, anything we give her. I keep telling her that I will not be feeding her a bottle when she is in kindergarten (LOL). She is not a baby that puts everything into her mouth, so she hasn't discovered how yummy things are by grabbing and putting in her mouth. I know it will happen soon enough. Her DR said she can have everything but honey, whole milk, nuts, berries and shellfish at this point, but she just doesn't want food yet. I will keep trying.

Let me tell you, we have a screamer on our hands. We have been eating dinner at the dining room table (novel idea for us) and her in her high chair, to get her used to it, and she just talks non-stop. I said I need a Katie to English dictionary. She pops off with mama and dada now and then, but we know she does not know what they mean. She is very active and very loud. It is so cute.

RIO- Please tell me the $1000 is not weekly for daycare? How wonderful that William loves the water so much. We took Katie in the pool in Las Vegas when we were on vacation and once she got used to the temp (cold water in Las Vegas, who knew), she loved it. I haven't gotten her in our pool yet, timing just hasn't worked out, but we will. I want to sign up for a Mommy and me swim class at the Y in the fall.

Suga - I would be exhausted running around after two mobile little ones. I bet your house looks like toy central. I know what you mean about loving our little ones. Sometimes I just look at Katie and can't believe how much I love her.

Corny and Mellie - I cannot tell you how happy I am for your good news. I wish very uneventful pregnancies to you both

Jomae - good to hear from you. Katie is just precious. Hope you are not having too bad a winter. I hope DS feels better.

Gecko - It does really stink about the furlough. Good luck with your upcoming cycle. Daycare is a drag, but a necessary one for me, unfortunately. Colds are part of the daycare experience. I just keep thinking that it will help with Katie's immune system.

CT and Katie: I hope your cycles go smoothly and you get your BFP's. I have my fingers crossed.

Esperanza: Welcome, I followed your journey from way back. This is a wonderful forum with great mommies. For us, it is kind of nice that our little ones are younger than everyone else's because we can benefit from everyone elses experience.

WashingtonDA: Hi there. I remember cycling around when you did my first try which was a BFN. Congrats on the wedding. We are renewing our vows at 5 years next year in Las Vegas.

Tina - Cool all of the foods Gavin eats. Someday hopefully Katie will want real food.

Weezie: Rolling blackouts, yuck. I hope things cool off soon.

Loopie: Wow Pulman is moving, that is great and he is only a month older than Katie. I think she won't be walking for several months yet, and maybe never crawl. I will PM you about getting together.

Hope everyone has a great week,

Kris

Loopie - we have to do a fresh cycle also, wish we had some frosties :( have you found a daycare yet? Pulman sounds like a cutie, awesome he stood up by himself!

Kbear - your Katie sounds so much like our little one, stubborn YES! We had a tough time with solids too, does she like fresh bananas mushed up good? Ours never liked the consistency of cereal but now does fine with it. He also never liked tummy time and still doesn't, our Dr said crawling is not a developmental milestone and some babies never crawl, sounds like your Katie and our boy are in the same boat! Daycare is 1000 per month, which really hurts our pockets here. OH and he loves screaming too! Now he does these loud grunts!

Gecko - I had forgotten that our boy and Declan are birthday twins! Good luck on your cycle! Crazy to think we will go through it all again! Sometimes I think I am biting off more than I can chew! How many are you thinking of transfering?

Rio: Thanks for the upcoming birthdays! Too fun!!

Kbear: Mine love solids BUT are getting to the point they want to feed themselves! They are starting to hate it when I spoon feed them! Brooke would be fine because she chews better than Mackenzie and uses her jaw...Mackenzie still scares me! Give it time though, some babies do not start to like solids till later (I know a couple of my friends whose babies are like that) Is she BF? I forget. BF babies usually take longer to get used to them, I dunno why.

Jomae: SOrry about the cold. I hate it when babies are sick! The girls are running a slight fever and are CRANKY beyond belief at the moment as they are getting their upper teeth.

Ok this is a weird story/funny story. Brooke had a poopy diaper and it smelled weird (yes their poop can smell normal or weird to me...this was not a normal Brooke poop). Anywhoo, it smelled like something was burning. At the moment I did not know it was her poop that smelled that way so I started smelling our electronics to see if something was burning...nothing I could find. I changed her and then she pooped an hour or so later and the smell appeared again! This time I stuck my nose in it and HOLY COW her poop smelled like an electronic device was burning!! How weird is that?!?! She had some cheese last night so that is the only thing I can think of? It was just odd.

And I am going to lose it during this whole teething process and the girls getting mobile! Mackenzie is turning into a brat about the whole thing! She conks her head, cry, (sometimes not needed, you know when they are not really hurt and you know it), gets a toy taken from her, hissy fit to where she throws herself back....not getting her way, slaps and tries to hit you...MIND YOU SHE IS NOT EVEN ONE!! Brooke is starting to get some of her bad behaviors but I am nipping those in the butt! I wonder where I went wrong?!?! lol. I swear I am not a bad mom but sometimes I just want to lose my mind with all the crying she can do in one day. I blame it on the teething and her just being horribly irritated...hopefully this is the case and she did not get my attitude :D

Suga- I am with you! I don't know what happened to my sweet little one, he is starting hissy fits too! When we take a toy away or when he doesn't want to eat he just grunts and screams and hits. I don't encourage it by laughing or anything but he was driving me crazy last night, I know they are too young to understand or even remember being disciplined (and how do you even discipline them at this age? We just ignore him if he is acting up so that he doesn't get attention if he is being difficult). Anyone else having this issue?

Twins! :D

I am 6 weeks and 3 days today. One baby is measuring 6 weeks 0 days with a heartrate of 113 and the other baby is measuring 6 weeks 1 day with a heartrate of 121.

I feel so fortunate and I'm so grateful. I'm praying for their health.

I must say I'm also in a bit of shock. I kinda wondered b/c of a few things but I just haven't wrapped my head around this yet.

MELLIE!!! WELCOME TO THE TWIN CLUB!!! Gosh that must be a shock. I can not imagine having a little baby then adding 2 more. I will pray for you!!! CONGRATS my dear!

As for us, the girls are sick with a cold at the moment (Kenzie more than Brooke) so I took them to the doctor since they had a fever and they say a cough with a fever they need to check out. Nothing is wrong other than the cold...which I already knew. ANYWHOO they got weighed! (This is by far the most exciting thing at the doctor)

Kenzie is 28 inches and 20 lbs
Brooke is 27 3/4 inches and 20 lbs 12 oz!

They say they will catch up by 2 years with their height...I do not see how but they say they will!! I am sure they will be somewhat tall since I am 5'9" and my hubby is 6'1"

Kenzie has her 2 top teeth now and Brooke has one just breaking through. Gosh they come in waves!! So it has been cranky around here with teeth and colds.
Me: 25 PCOS, BFP 1st time with twin girls!
