Greetings parents!
I have been remiss in getting back to this board, and recently my husband reminded me of it! Its great to hear of everyone's news, as I try to get caught up on all that has transpired.
Liam is now 6 mos old. We missed our early part of 6 mo checkup, and don't have it til the end of the month as our ped is out of town. I'll know more stats then

For now, if you'd like to peruse his blog and photo site, here is his address:

He's a pretty busy little boy, and is so precious to his dad and me. Apart from his great grandmother passing away 1 week exactly after he was born, he has been the light of our lives.
He eats oatmeal and pears for now. I just bought yams, peas, more pears and mango to make his food. When you do the math, making your own is simple, and cheaper than buying individual jars, etc. If you can add water to something, you can make your own babyfood

I have a food mill that's portable, and I'll use the blender or food processor.
As for pumps & breastmilk I had a terrible time with breastfeeding. No one ever tells you about that! My let-down was so painful I was crying 8 times per day, round the clock. I pumped for 5 mos, and I needed to move on. I used the hospital rented Medela Symphony and it worked great. He has been on Organic Similac since he started it, but I'd like Enfamil to come out with an organic one because it'll push the costs down! Its way too expensive if you ask me, but for now what are we to do.
We have 2 classes per week right now; baby yoga and music. He really responds to, and loves music. I had gone to our hospitals 0-3 month class originally, and that helped us to connect with other moms and parents.
I hope to catch up with more of you, but for now I wanted to say hello and continue to wish everyone loads of happiness.
