tortillachip - as hard as it is, try not to worry... I read a lot of postings on this and everythibg ends up okay. We only put in 2 embies on a 3dt. How do you know that is high?

AFM - Monday I have my final Beta and then they schedule the ultra-sound. About how far along to you have to be for an u/s?

LW: I'm sorry to hear that you're going through the same thing I am, but glad we have each other to bounce ideas off of. How far along will you be this Monday for your second u/s? I'm sure you will hear both heartbeats. It's really out of our hands at this point. I have been praying a lot and just want the best for the babies. God will take care of the rest. It's funny because I don't goto church or anything, but I still consider myself to be a spiritual person...and going through IVF I've noticed that I pray a lot more. Keep me posted on your u/s.

Cressicaw: Thanks for your kind words. I will TRY not to worry....as much as that's possible. I know that the BETA is high because there are several websites you can go on to check the probability of a singleton, twins, or triplets by looking at your first and second BETA numbers. Look at : http://babymed.com/Tools/pregnancy/hcg/Default.aspx
My doc scheduled an u/s 2 weeks after my second BETA test, but every clinic is different. Thinking of you.

Hi ladies,

Congrats to everyone for finally having their dreams come true!

I have been reading this thread since it started but was afraid to join until after my first u/s. Like Dogz as Tortillachip, I started with lots of spotting so I was a little spooked. I was supposed to go for my u/s on Sept. 1st but I was freaking out because my symptoms, especially breast tenderness and changes went away suddenly and I seemed to be cramping a lot more. So I got to go in yesterday. They warned me that we may not be able to see much this early (6w, 5d) but they would be looking for positive signs. It turned out that we saw and heard a heart beat! My little love bug is measuring 6w, 3d with a hb of 125. She said I could come back again in 2 weeks if that would help me feel even more reassured. Of course I wouldn't turn down that chance!

I hope that everyone has a happy and healthy pregnancy!

Double congrats to all of those with twins!!

I will post personals later except that I have to say:
LW and Tortillachip I am sure you'll see your second heartbeats soon! Im sending lots of PMA their way!

My sono on Thursday went beautifully. The little one had grown 10-fold, and we got to see AND hear the HB this time, and the rate was 170 wootwoot!!! I was "graduated" on to my local OB, and my next appointment is Sept 16. Like TrueBeliever said, let the normalcy begin. I had spotting last night, and it FREAKED ME OUT because I haven't had it in a while, but it was one incident, and I have to keep telling myself it really is ok!!!

marymegan - I have been feeling the EXACT same things with the pulling!!! It scares me, but the longer this goes on (I have felt it almost from the beginning), the less I panic. Sometimes it feels so persistent, but I keep telling myself, at my size (small. 113 lbs), I'm really going to feel myself being stretched. Ugh! I walk around the house with my pants unbuttoned at all times, or else I wear elastic workout pants. yipee

lw - at 5 weeks 5 days, we saw the sac with a little dot inside but no HB at the time. I went in 4 days later and saw the HB.

Thank you so much everyone for your encouraging thoughts. I don't know why I've been so negative. It's like I just can't wrap my head around it and be accepting. Like everyone has said- after soooo long, you can't help but be cautious. My husband is so thrilled and he said he thought I wasn't as excited about twins. I told him I am soooooo excited that I'm afraid to be excited if that makes sense.

MARYMEGAN AND DOGZ: I have those same pulling sensations- and you're right dogz- i basically feel like I'm being stretched out.
I also feel like someone punched me in the pubic bone and don't know why haha.

Question (TMI): I'm having a LOT! of creamy white discharge. Like- sometimes I swear I've started gushing blood or something and I'll run to the bathroom to check and it's just discharge. Is anyone else experiencing an increase like this??

Dogz: I'm so glad your ultrasound went well. Congrats on moving on to your OB. I'm not sure when my RE will move me on. I have to see a specialist at 12 weeks so I think maybe he will keep me with him until then.

Kim: thank you for the encouragement. Congrats on your pregnancy! So glad you got to see your little one on the ultrasound and all is well.

Tortilla: When do you go back for the 2nd ultrasound?

Hello My Lovely Pregnant Ladies!!! How is everyone doing?

LW.. I am having a mucus type of dischard, which I really don't remember from my first preganncy.. As you say (TMI), it's almost the consistancy of snot. Quite interesting. Is anyone else experiencing that? I have white discharge, but I don't know if it's from the crinone or pregnancy....

Now I am not sure if the sickness gets worse with twins. I have been pregnant now with twins and singleton, and this has been by far worse. I am actually vomiting with this pregnancy, which I never did with the twins. Guess it is true, that every pregnancy is different.

Dogz.. so glad to hear your little one is doing well and on track. The idea of normalcy doesn't sound right does it? How do they expect us to go a month without hearing or seeing our little one and not go insane.... LOL

Kimbob and Cressicaw..welcome to our group.. look forward to sharing this wonderful experience with you.

AFM, things are going well.. I have been pretty sick, I have Zofran and it seems to work when it wants to. I have the heart rate monitor, my DH and I attempted on Friday to find the heartrate with no luck. I know it is very early to detect, but it was a little disappointing. My stomach look slike I am about 5 months, and just 2 I am not sure how long I will be able to keep this a secret. I was hoping to make it to 13 weeks first. I know I am just bloated, I have already began wearing my bella band, as I cannot comfortably fasten my jeans.... LOL

Hi Everyone

I am so please to see such good stories on here. I can not believe how worrying this whole thing is. I am just starting to believe this could really be happening. I thought something was wrong with terrible pains but it was just trapped wind like I have never had before. I have been drinking peppermint tea (which I hate and can make me feel sick) and it has really helped.

LW and True - yes I am experiencing this sort of discharge too. It really panicked me to start with but now getting used to it.

Godd luck to everyone and I hope all the good news continues, I just love reading all your stories.

Lw: good luck with the u/s. I'm sure u are gonna hear two beautiful hearbeats.

Regarding the discharge, are u guys taking the oral progesterone suppositories. Coz that def does happen with these.

I totally feel the same about trying to hide my excitement but sometimes i just want to shout to everyone that we are pregnant.

Dogzrule: so glad u're baby is doing well. U must be so relived after waiting for 2 weeks.

I started spotting again this morning. Very light but i am freaking out. I just went for an u/s on friday and everything looked great. should i call my RE or wait and see? i go back again on friday for the last u/s with them. These worries will never end.

Hugs to everyone.

Hi Everyone,

I am new here. I am 5 weeks 4 days pregnant with baby #2 via IVF. My first ultrasound is scheduled for Sept. 10th. My first beta was a bit low - at 10dp5dt it was 74, 13dp5dt - 181, and 17dp5dt - 952. Given the jump on the third beta, I'm feeling better about the pregnancy. I have a 5 y/o daughter via IVF done 6 years ago. I am due around April 29th, 2010. Looking forward to getting to know all of you!

SKIPPER: Welcome!!! So glad to have you hear and congrats on your second IVF success. According the the HCG calculator we all love to use, your levels are consistent with average pregnancies. That's great!!

BABIES: How often are you spotting? Everytime you go thte bathroom? Are you bleeding in between bathroom breaks? I'd take it nice and easy girl! If you are spotting at the bathroom I'd call if it's still present tomorrow morning.
I take the PIO shots.

AFM: Thank you guys for the good wishes- My scan went wonderfully. Dr. saw both heartbeats. We didn't see them because we were in his office and their sonogram machine isn't as good as the 4-d one they have at the place we usually go for the ultrasounds. Also, there is just one screen and I couldn't see it at all. Dr. said that both babies look great. He was planning on them being about 13mm, but they both measured 14mm today! I was soooooooo relieved to say the least- praise God!

LW: Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm so glad to have found this forum. It really helps to go through this with other ladies! I wish everyone the best as we all get through this worrisome first trimester!

Is anyone here using Climara patches following IVF? I am apply two at a time, changing them out every three days. I asked my nurse and the pharmacist about it because the literature that comes with the patches say that they are not to be used during pregnancy - in fact, it is in pregnancy category X, which freaks me out! RE and the pharmacist assured me it is OK to use and used often (or some other form of estrogen) during the first trimester following IVF. I believe last time I took Estrace, but I don't remember. I was taking the PIO shots, but after my second beta more than doubled, RE let me switch over to the progesterone suppositories.

I am counting the HOURS until Sept. 10th and pray that we see a heartbeat! It seems so far away. RE did an u/s at about 5 weeks 6 days with my first pregnancy just to ease my fears......then we saw the heartbeat at 6 weeks 5 days. This time, I'm having to wait until I turn 7 weeks!
