So about 2 weeks ago, the girls started to take some steps on their own....well now they are full out walkers!! Sure, they still fall on their faces at times, stumble when they try to turn around, still prefer to crawl most places....but they will walk from the couch to the entertainment center, from the living room to the kitchen is the furthest they have gone. So I officially have walkers! How fun! It will be really interesting once they truly get it down! So, they are technically 11 months when they learned to walk...13 months true age. Did I mention I have rock star preemies?!

They are also saying dog, that (or cat I can not tell), pointing and saying dat, mama, dada, nana (banana), mooo (more) this one is rare, up when they want picked up (rare again), sissy (iiissy). I think they may need speech later on down the line but they are not delayed if you adjust their age...so maybe not. I dunno I had to fill out another assessment so we shall see if they need speech in the future. Again, if that is the worse thing they need out of being 2 months early, I am fine with it!

A lot of people are having babies around me and I want another one *sigh* Not until we get our finances worked out though with the wonderful economy not letting my husband go full time with his job and the hiring freeze of teachers.

A friend of mine is having twins, also through IVF (I met her at church) and I have been spending time with her. She lets me feel her belly and the babies move around. Oh how I miss it! She is nervous about twins but I tell her it is a ok and FUN! These will be her first.

Anyways, I just wanted to share the news that the girls are walking!

Hi Girls! Sorry it has been so long since I have been on here...I even had to reset my password and everything. Time has just gotten away from me, but you girls are always on my mind.

Congrats to Corny, Gecko, and Mellie!
Good Luck to CT Michele!
Yayy for walkers TwinMommy!

I am sooo far behind and only read back a couple of pages...so if I missed anyone... I'm very sorry.

Today is Zachary's 1st birthday!!! I am sooo excited that I just can not sleep right now. We're going to the zoo and then to Chucky Cheese for dinner with his cousins. It is more for Dad than Zach, he loves that place. LOL Sunday is his big Cowboy themed birthday party. We're expecting at least 75 people, if not more. We're having pony rides (our friends offered), volleyball, a bonfire/cookout, and my DH's band is playing after the bday celebrations. Should be a fun day. I have been planning it for 3 months. LOL

Zach has been on the verge of walking for 3 months. He has been crawling since 7 months old and cruising since 8.5 months old. Problem is he has gotten soooo good at crawling and fast too...that he has no interest in walking. It would slow him down. LOL

I just cant believe that it has been a year already. Unbelievable! Hope everyone else is having a wonderful time celebrating all the birthdays.

I promise to keep in touch more...now that things wont be sooo hectic. Happy Birthday everyone! :D

Ok mommas...I am officially PUPO! Here is the update I posted on the sept/oct cycle buddy thread earlier today with the details:

The transfer went very smooth, not like last time when they had trouble with the speculum and the catheter. We could even see the 2 dots on the u/s screen after it was done. So when we showed up, they told us that of the 2 they thawed last night, only one made it, and then they thawed the other 2 this morning and only one was viable. So of my 4 frosties, we transferred 2 7/8 celled well graded hatched embies. I got my pics of them.

I am very nervous knowing that we have no embies left, but also kind of relieved. we were always a little concerned about this "batch," considering we had a failed fresh cycle from it. So I think we are giving ourselves the best possible chance in one transfer, rather than trying twice. I just really hope this works, because if it doesn't, we are not sure we can afford an out of pocket fresh cycle.

And everything worked out well with Ella. A friend of mine who lives a couple streets over offered to take her. I didn't want to ask her because she has twins that are only 3 days younger than ella, so she already has her hands full, but she didn't mind. She said it would be like having triplets for a few hours. And Ella did great and had fun playing, and now she is napping so I can rest.

My beta will be on oct 5, but for those of you who know me, you already know I have 20 strips waiting in my bathroom for my poas marathon! So I shall keep you updated and I will catch up with you guys later and give you an ella update too.

Where is everyone? I've been back on more often again and now everyone is MIA. LOL I miss you guys!

BTW...we are thinking about going back for my 3 little 5-day blasts on ice. I called the clinic and they said I could do it as early as around Nov 20th since I started my AF last night. Yikes! So, for real ...we are thinking about December transfer or waiting till August transfer. It will be our last chance. If our frozen ones arent meant to be we wont be going back for a fresh cycle. We are okay with that. We would really like to give Zach a sibling, but feel if it is meant to be with these 3 that we have left then it was meant to be. I do not want to leave any on ice indefinitely, so will likely thaw all 3. We put back 3 with Zach....and got 1. I am 41 and full of fibroids...so we will be lucky if 1 implants. If we wait till August ...I will be almost 43 when I deliver.

When is everyone else thinking of cycling again? I'd love to cycle with some of you again. :D

I am here Tammy, but everyone else seems to be super busy with the little ones!

That is great you guys are thinking about it again. I would do the same as you, thaw all 3. We were ready to put 3 in this time if need be, we had 4 and wanted to transfer 2, but depending on thaw we could have had 3. We ended up thawing 2 the night before and only one made it, and then we thawed the other 2 and only 1 of those made it, so out of the 4 we got 2 for transfer. Now we have none left on ice, and of course no insurance for another fresh, so we are just praying this works. Even if we get another one, I can't rule out another cycle down the road. We are still young and maybe we would have coverage with a new company or be in a better financial situation down the road. I always pictured myself with 3 kids. Maybe I will get twins this time and then I think we will be done!

So I just wanted to give you girls an update. It is still very early, I am 7dp3dt and this morning, straining my eyes as much as I possible could, I think I may have seen the start of a second line on the pee strip. I will try again tonight and will continue probably twice a day until I get a definitive answer. My beta should be on saturday, but I was bumped to monday b/c they are closed on the weekend. I know if I really did see a line it is not a false positive b/c I had no trigger shot, and I have had solid negatives for 3 days anyway. I know, I am going poas crazy, but I was smart this time, I bought 20 pee strips (like the ones they use in the office) on amazon for only $10, less than the cost of one hpt, so I can pee until my hearts content!

I will update again soon, keep your fingers crossed!

Katie...We are thinking either December or August. Big gap, I know. I either want the kids to be 2 years apart and since my deductible is already met, IVF would be free in December. However, if we wait till after the first of the year, I think I would like to wait till August, so that we have an April/May baby. This way the kids will both always have outdoor birthday parties. Zach would get the fall party/winter toys and new baby the spring party/summer toys. LOL  Plus, with 25 nieces and nephews in our families and 13 of them we celebrate their birthdays...April/August/September are the only months everyone is not fighting over what days to have the parties. Both my brothers have full custody of their kids and their moms get them every other weekend...which leaves 26 weeks to fight over the dates. Dumb, but true.

I am also trying to lose weight. I had Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (VSG)Feb 25th...it is a newer (and quickly becoming) the best weight loss surgery out there. I have already lost 74 lbs. It is the 74 lbs that I put on 2 years ago with fertility drugs, stress, and then pregnancy. I do still have a little ways to go, but am in the safe zone for trying again, now. Alot of girls on my VSG board...got pregnant right away and had no problems at all. So, my thinking of waiting till August is also because I would like to be all the way to goal first, and have time to enjoy being thin again.

What to do....what to do....

Michele...did you test this morning, yet? Praying hard for you.

Hi EVERYONE!!!!
Congrats to all the bumpin' mommas the 2nd time around! wonderful news
I have a lot to catch up on with what you've been all doing but wanted to pop in - i finally have a moment - to wish you all a

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it's amazing that we've all come so far and some are at it again! hooray!

As for us- Pulman is 11 months old and began walking at 9 months- he skipped the crawling pretty much and has been into everything under the sun
he's very fast and does steps like you'd not believe! we don't have them in our place, but were visiting family and he just walked over and up he went - i'm not even sure how he knew what to do!

So - went on a vacation in the end of July and feel like that's about the last i wrote - I've been thinking of you all, but have not been on line much due to school and being in the studio most days
Pulman is a natural at daycare- we started the last week of august, and he took to it like a fish to water- it was I who had the tears when i left him. but we're now on a routine - so i'm getting stuff done for school- but with teaching the steel class and teaching assistant and 4credits over what the usual # is for grad school, i'm pretty much wiped out especially chasing the little guy around- oh and he is a chatterbox- and he got 4 teeth in the last month- his first 2 bottom teeth came the same day! (that was a rough one  )

so my goal for the near future is to take a look back and see what you've all been up to and wish you the happiest of birthdays-

it's really incredible and i'm so proud to know you all. You've been a wonderful sounding board and shoulder to both laugh and cry with and I hope one day we'll get to meet beyond the virtual world

hugs to you all and again, congrats to the mommas and mommas to be Two!

Hi Loopie! Good to hear from you again! Awesome that Pulman has been walking and doing steps, too. Zach is almost there. He has been crawling since 7 months and cruising since 8.5 months. I thought for sure he'd be walking by 9 months, then 10, 11, 12.... LOL He can crawl soooo fast that there is no need to walk.

Glad to hear everything is going well at daycare, too. I am pretty much a SAHM now. I was supposed to work at least 1 day a month as a fill in for my co-workers, but havent worked since I went back to work in May and only worked 2 days. LOL Oh well, I have been too busy playing with Zach.

How is everyone else doing?

Hi ladies! Just checking in. I read a lot on here but rarely post....I need to get better about that.

Loopie: Welcome back!

Tammy: I have never heard of that weight loss procedure. Good luck with it and the weight loss! As for me, I am taking my metformin and going to the gym and trying to watch what I eat (I am a horrible dieter) and I have lost 10 lbs so only 50 to go! :) 20 lbs to go to get to where I was when the girls were born. 50 to go to where I will be happy and healthy with weight/looks/body image/etc. If the metformin does not work, I am going to go to the doctor and get some diet pills or something. It is SO HARD to lose weight with PCOS and twins... *sigh*

Michele: NEWS?! I hope it works out!

As for me, just working on losing weight and working out. I got some bad shin splints from running too much too soon so I had to take a few days off. But I LOVE going to the gym, makes me feel so much better about myself. The girls are keeping me busy with walking and running everywhere. Mackenzie is starting to get this little attitude on her! BOY OH BOY!

I am getting nervous about the frosty issues! I have read that a lot of them do not last the thawing! I only have 2 so I pray that at least one makes it and turns into a baby!! They were frozen at 5 days and I think they were really good too so hopefully that will help. I do not know if I can do another fresh cycle. I will not rule it out but I do not know if I can mentally handle it again.

Well, keep in touch!
Me: 25 PCOS, BFP 1st time with twin girls!
