CK - I didn't experience this specifically after the NT scan, but I have had what I would call "restless" legs a number of times the past month, which is very frustrating, overstimulating and almost (not quite) painful. They are not problematic and go away themselves, but I imagine it is related to the difference in blood flow to certain extremities. I usually feel it when I am trying to fall asleep. Are you still feeling that, or has it subsided?
Ange - I remember being worried when I didn't feel sick in the first trimester... and it always came back!!

Daisy - Are you still experiencing spotting? Still dark brownish? I hope for your sake it abates, even though it is almost surely nothing serious, so many women have it. Good vibes your way....
Julie - Now that I have done a bit more reading on the "quickening" stage, I realize that that is what I have been experiencing more than anything for the past 3-4 weeks (except for the gas and occasional constipation, of course!!). Now that I am paying attention to it, instead of trying to avoid feeling the stirrings, I can tell that it is little bumps, hits, kicks, even pokes that tweak me (and I can feel these!!). Active little one. One interesting thing for you all: I read that when you are moving around, it lulls or rocks the little one(s) to sleep, and when you are lying down or not moving (bed, sitting), it is most awake and active and will do some performances for you!
AFM - the first OB appointment I had was at 13.5w, and it was uneventful, except that I heard the heartbeat for the first time. 160-170, which was exactly where it was at 12w, too. At this stage, I am not even that interested in going back every 4 weeks to these appointments, as I feel that things are moving along fine without the extra questions, etc. I understand their purpose, but I must say it is not the same as having the personal touch of either the RE or a midwife discussing things. I found that I had to discuss, question and explain each item that was presented to me as "mandatory" and finally it was agreed that those things (tests, etc.) were not necessary if I felt that way. It was a struggle on each topic and not very comfortable. Perhaps it is also because I was already very informed on most of this information and knew what I wanted and did not want, so it felt a little tedious to me?

We have decided on a basinette (Not sure if it's the same as a moses basket?) for sleeping and may do co-sleeping in our bed, as well, for a while. There is increasing information and newer studies out that promote this (whether in bed or at least baby in the same room) to avoid SIDS and also to encourage parent-child bonding in the early stages. So, our nursery will be prepared... but not slept in... for the first part.
Anyway, I am feeling very good otherwise, except that I am much less flexible than I was before (I hope yoga will help with that!). I also notice that, at one part of the day, I look soooo big and my belly is hard (contractions, possible), that I feel so pregnant, and then other parts of the day, I look and feel the same way as 4 months ago... funny.
Cheers, All!
