CT_Michele -- I hope all goes well! Isn't 7dp3dt really early to test? I got my BFP 7dp5dt and it was super faint (I don't think my mom believed it!) and that was with twins!

Loopie
-- So nice to hear from you again! Yes, this board is a great source of support. I hope someday one of you passes through Chicago and gives me a shout. I'd love to meet some of our board friends in person, too. :D

Tammy - Glad you're back in the loop! :D

All's well here. I'm in bed with the laptop, atm. Evie is sleeping between DH qne m3. She was crying in her crib earlier so Daddy brought her in bed with us. He used to say he'd never do that before we had her. He's becoming a softy.

My pregnancy is going well so far. We find out the sexes on October 16th.

Our trip to Switzerland was ok. I think we decided that we just can't share space for long periods of time with DH's parents, though. I like them but they are difficult in some ways to live with and, fortunately, this is something my DH sees very well. He suggested that next time we visit them we do it on neutral ground -- like take a vacation somewhere else all together with separate rooms or something. That's maybe a good idea.

I am obsessed with figuring out our next step once the twins arrive. We live in a 2 bedroom condo in downtown Chicago. We'll remodel our dining room into a nursery (fortunately that can be pretty easily done by adding a wall and a closet), but long-term we'll need to move. With the economy like it is it may be a couple of years before that can happen but I've lived in Chicago for about 14 years now and I'm intrigued with the idea of going somewhere else. The Chicago burbs are a real possibility but I wonder if we shouldn't take the opportunity to find someplace perfect to raise our family.

So, my question to you ladies is this: If you could've spent your childhood anywhere in the US where would that be?

Twinmommy I know what you mean. I have 3 frosties and if they dont work out, I do not believe we will try another fresh cycle. I am actually perfectly happy with my little Zach, but keep thinking that I should give him a sibling. I am really worried about twins and triplets, due to the expense mostly. I came across your blog the other day from Cornys...very cute.

Mellie Glad your trip was good for the most part. I think I would go nuts living in close quarters with my or my DH's family. LOL Cant wait to hear the sexes on the 16th. So exciting. You could always move to Ohio! LOL Next time we are in Chicago, we should definitely get together. If we had a choice to move anywhere in the US...we would move to either North or South Carolina, near the ocean. Weather is always perfect, not to hot, not to cold.

Rio So good to hear from you. Happy belated birthday to you and Geckos little ones. We have family in town this week, too. Always fun. Good Luck to you in January.

Katie Have fun in Chicago. You and Mellie should definitely meet up and post lots of pics for us! Happy early Birthday to Parker!

Hey girls,

Just wanted to let you know that it's not looking good for me. Had my beta yesterday (13dp3dt) and it was 5. They want me to retest on wednesday, but essentially said it is a negative. So tow more days of torture to find out what we kinda already know. I almost wish it had just been 0 so we could be done with it already. But of course I hope I am one of those rare miracle stories where all hope is all but gone and the beta goes up and my fighter survives. Not likely, but a girl can hope. I will update you guys again after I get my next results.

CT, I'm so sorry to hear about the beta, but I'm not giving up hope yet. You are right...miracles DO happen. Don't forget I started with a 13, so I won't stop praying for you.

Corny- thanks. I thought you were one of those stories, and although I am not hopeful at this point, it is encouraging to hear successes with low numbers. How many days past were you getting a 13? And was that twins at first? I really will be amazed if my number rises today. I just went for bloodwork, now the torturous wait all day for the phone call.

Ladies, I can not believe it, my hcg went up to a 13 today! Even with the increase, my RE wanted me to stop progesterone b/c they said it is most likely an abnormal implant or ectopic. But I just can't give up hope yet. I know what the likely outcome is, but I have to give it a chance. I retest on friday and possibly monday. My clinic thinks my numbers will stop rising sufficiently at some point. Keep us in your prayers! I might end up being the ultimate "no hope" success story.

OH, CT! Don't give up! My betas were 13/23/36. They told me to stop the progesterone at 36, but I didn't and sure enough, my next beta was 106 and then a whopping 1186! PLEASE don't let them get you down yet. I made the decision to keep doing the progesterone on my own, figuring it wouldn't hurt anything if I was in fact mis-carrying so you may want to check with them on that, but if I were you, I would keep it up until you know for sure. It turned out that I had 2 embryos implant (with 1 splitting into identical twins) and I was miscarrying the 2nd embryo while the identical twins were growing...which is why they think I had such funky betas...so you just never know. Oh my gosh...I will pray hard!
