Loopie -- So nice to hear from you again! Yes, this board is a great source of support. I hope someday one of you passes through Chicago and gives me a shout. I'd love to meet some of our board friends in person, too.

Tammy - Glad you're back in the loop!

All's well here. I'm in bed with the laptop, atm. Evie is sleeping between DH qne m3. She was crying in her crib earlier so Daddy brought her in bed with us. He used to say he'd never do that before we had her. He's becoming a softy.
My pregnancy is going well so far. We find out the sexes on October 16th.
Our trip to Switzerland was ok. I think we decided that we just can't share space for long periods of time with DH's parents, though. I like them but they are difficult in some ways to live with and, fortunately, this is something my DH sees very well. He suggested that next time we visit them we do it on neutral ground -- like take a vacation somewhere else all together with separate rooms or something. That's maybe a good idea.
I am obsessed with figuring out our next step once the twins arrive. We live in a 2 bedroom condo in downtown Chicago. We'll remodel our dining room into a nursery (fortunately that can be pretty easily done by adding a wall and a closet), but long-term we'll need to move. With the economy like it is it may be a couple of years before that can happen but I've lived in Chicago for about 14 years now and I'm intrigued with the idea of going somewhere else. The Chicago burbs are a real possibility but I wonder if we shouldn't take the opportunity to find someplace perfect to raise our family.
So, my question to you ladies is this: If you could've spent your childhood anywhere in the US where would that be?
