My little man was also a late crawler due to what I believe was lack of tummy time as well. I just didn't realize HOW important it was. He is now 14 months old, has been belly crawling like crazy for 4 months now, and is standing with assistance. He does go for physical therapy, which has helped a lot. He's coming along nicely! Just keep up the belly time, and I am sure your little angel will start moving more in no time.

Hi Shari,
Zach started crawling at 7 months everywhere and quickly too, cruising at 8 months and now at 13 months 1 week old still only takes 2-3 steps before falling down. I really thought he would be walking by 4th of July. LOL Shows what I know.

For what ever it is worth....he got almost 0 tummy time, because he had acid reflux and tummy issues. He screamed everytime he was on his belly.

Corny- how are things going? feeling good? how's Abigail? what a pretty girl

Pulman is 1 year old today- wow - had a great party- lots of friends and family- he was running around like a champ, though several of our friends and fam with little ones were down with the flu or whatever so there were just a few wee ones- but lots of fun and cake and bloody marys for the adults!

things are good here, school work all of it is going well and I've been very busy with my artwork and I'm coming into my thesis semester, so I am trying to be on top of things, while at the same time thinking about another small person in the mix...we shall see- dh said not to give away or sell the infant car seat, so that's a good sign

I was thinking of you today. I realize your heart was set on doing IVF in the near future and that financially, it may not be possible. But, is it possible to save up for sometime down the line? I just have a feeling that the vision of the family you dream of will be a reality for you . Lots of luck, and hope you're feeling better soon...

Loopie- good to hear from you!
CT- Don't get discouraged, you are still young and you have some time to get extra $$ for IVF. The IKEA thing sounds great! I have been going back and forth and as disappointed as I will be if we don't get a baby next time, we have to look on the bright side that we have one miracle. I know easier said then done. But I see on this post women who never get to have what we have and it makes me feel blessed. You will have your miracle, fingers crossed!
Mellie - let me know what your research shows about getting the h1n1 vaccine, I am still in doubt also and I know you are an awesome researcher! Congrats on the boy and girl! Are you prepared for twins and a toddler? you are so brave!!! Good luck with surgery!

As for me, I have a facebook page but I am thinking of deleting it. My DH is in law enforcement and he tells me horror stories of people hacking into other people's FB and then using the info for less than good Sad that we have to consider those things.
Our boy has not had his 1 year checkup yet due to a cold but I can't wait to see, not looking forward to the vaccines though. He is still refusing any kind of milk so I am going to ask if him only eating cheese is ok. He refuses anything but cheese, goldfish these days, we can sneak in a multi vitamin but that's it, he loves water so I anot concerned about fluid intake. He learned the sign for milk so now he wants to bfeed all the time. We had been down to 3 feedings a day and now back to 6 or 7! I am trying to not stress about the weaning and just let it happen, I think I am at peace with just letting it go to May for IVF. I tried denying him the breast to cut down on feedings but he has a fit and it breaks my heart (softy!). He crawls everywhere and can open any latch anywhere! He even tells me to press the button on his high chair! I am just amazed at what a copycat he is, he is now imitating me everytime I cough, he coughs and puts his hand over his mouth! Too cute! No walking yet, just maybe one step or two but no definite walking. I am just loving this age! Any of you have a finicky eater? Are they now drinking whole milk?

Hello all! I know I have not posted in a while but wanted to stop in and say "hi". All is great with us. Noah turned 14 mos and he is into everything!!! He started walking right after he turned one and has been on the go ever since! He has his 2 front teeth now and 4 others on the bottom. He continues to sleep pretty well, so we feel pretty lucky. He isn't saying many words yet which worries me a bit but he has learned a little sign language through school. I can't break him of the bottle, but I am determined to soon!!

It looks like we might try again soon!!! We have 1 frozen embryo left and my plan is to go back in March/April and give it a shot! Anyone hear of 1 frozen one working???

I am so sorry for those of you going through tough times. I am so scared to try again It is such an emotional roller coaster!! Sometimes I feel like we should just be thankful we have Noah and leave it at that. I don't know. I will be 39 next month, so we are running out of time.

Tinaaaaaaaaaaaa--

How are you, girl?? Noah sounds like he's doing really well! Don't worry about him speaking, I'm sure it'll come soon enough. As you can see, I am here again. We have a meeting on Nov. 17th at the IVF clinic, and we'll take it from there. Would love to go through pregnancy with you again if you do decide to give your frostie a try! We need to do a fresh cycle, but I'm optimistic. Don't let your age 'scare' you. My BIL's sister is 48 and just had her second IVF baby (first one at 45). How's your job? Eliya is sick for the second week in a row, and my boss gave me such a hard time about the time I'm taking. Apparently, I was supposed to leave him with a neighbor while he had fever, how silly of me!! Seriously though, she can fire me for all I care, because I draw the line at him being sick. When he is sick, he gets mommy, no matter WHAT.

Anyway, wishing you the absolute best of luck with your FET if you decide to go ahead with it.

Regarding belly time, I suppose there are just kids who will start moving no matter what. I guess it is a mix of personality, motivation, and genetics. All I know is that Eliya was barely moving UNTIL I started increasing his belly time a LOT. In the first week of belly time, I saw tremendous improvement, and he's just kept progessing since then because of it. My next baby will get plenty of belly time, and from very early on.

Hi Ladies - I'm still here! I read all the time, but have been so insanely busy I hardly get a chance to write. Between working full time and taking care of the baby by myself - DH has been gone a lot this fire season- I am pooped by the time the baby goes to sleep. Anyway...

Declan is thriving. He started walking at 11 and a half months and is now off and running - climbing stairs and getting into all sorts of trouble! He eats lots of solid foods now. His current fav dinner is smashed Chef Boyarde (I add carrots) and tapioca pudding for desert. He likes eggos, pancakes, tortillas, yogurt, all kinds of fresh fruit and cheese. We are giving him whole milk now too which he likes. It seems like everyday he does something new. I love it!

Tina - Yep. It works with only one frosty. We elected to only transfer one of our frozen embryos, much to our RE's dismay. We were terrified of having a set of twins with an 18 month old - especially at my age. I just didn't think I had it in me. Anyway, it worked on the very first try. So remain hopeful! I am excited for you.

Rio - Awesome on the breastfeeding! It's kind of a bummer that you have to put off another IVF, but it sure is for a great reason.

Loopie- You sound as busy as I am. Pulman's party sounded great! Glad your hanging on to that car seat.....

Michele - How are you doing? Keep us updated. As for the H1N1 vaccine - I got it because I am pregnant and we got it for Declan too because he is in daycare and seems to catch EVERYTHING. Just seemed like the best option. So far he hasn't had any kind of reaction to it. But he doesn't have any reaction to any of the vaccines he has received - not a fever, no red marks, nothing. Lucky guy.

Mellie - I hope Evie's surgery goes well (and quickly). I am sure she will be up and running soon.

I have had a really difficult time with crushing headaches and morning sickness this time around. The headaches totally were related to the IVF meds but the m/s has been tough. I am starting to feel better this week. Finally. It's also much harder to be pregnant with a one year old running me around! At least I don't have any time to worry about evey little twinge. I saw my regular ob yesterday and the baby looks great. I don't go back until the first week in December. We have the big u/s scheduled for then too, so hopefully we will know the sex by Christmas. It's hard to believe that I am doing this again!

How are the other pregnant mommas feeling?

I promise to be more diligent in posting. I think about you guys all the time.

That is amazing that your one 'frostie' is now your future angel! Good for you for standing your ground with your RE, and may you have a healthy and joyful pregnancy/birth! I have my preliminary meeting with the RE of our clinic in a few weeks, and anticipate cycling beginning at the end of November-beginning December. We have no frosties, so here's to a successful fresh cycle!

Again, congrats! So happy for you!

Thanks for all the well wishes for Evie's surgery. She did fine and her eye has been clear. As I have read other parents say, it was probably harder on me than on her. She was fine until after the procedure. She cried terribly but once they let me giver her some milk she was fine. Poor thing was hungry! The worst was that she woke up before they brought us to her so she looked scared with the unfamiliar nurse. The rest of the day she played and ate and slept a lot.

Gecko - I wish we could get Evie to eat like that! She still struggles with chunks but is eating more since we cut back on her milk. Also, she "requires" entertainment while she eats. She refuses to open her mouth unless she has a book or something to look at -- sometimes I have to try 2 or 3 different books before I find the "right" one and then she'll eat everything on her plate. Often, she wants to look at a Time magazine. It is really funny to see a baby leafing through a Time magazine with a serious look on her face. Oh well, whatever gets her to eat!

Rio - I got the H1N1 b/c I have a twin pregnancy and asthma so I am at very high risk. As for Evie, I'm in the process of reading this report: http://www.iom.edu/en/Reports/2004/Immu ... utism.aspx

In the meantime, I have stopped taking her to church or the grocery store or anyplace else like that. Trying to minimize her exposure.

I am excited about the twins. I know it'll be a lot of work having twins and a toddler but I love that they'll be close in age. It'll be a rough year but with lots of joy and, hopefully, there will be benefits in the long run to having them together like this.

As for me I think that I will postpone the IVF until May of next year, I had my heart set on Jan, and they were going to give us a 1,900 discount! But htey might not in May I just don't thinkI have it in me to quit bfeeding cold turkey like this. When he cries for the breast and I try not to, I feel like the worst mom in the world, he really enjoys being bfed and asks by sign language now. Refuses any other milk. Oh well!
He has been so cute, he now can turn on fans, washer and dryer, tv anything! That kid loves tiny little buttons! And it kills me he knows exaclty which one does what! Maybe I have a little engineer like mommy!!! I just love being a mom!

ok I have a confession to make. a co-worker came in and said she was pregnant with her 3rd child and added "I am on birth control, for the third time I get pregnant on birth control"
I am very happy for her, but the minute she walked out, i started crying in my office. Ye sit was a pity party of one but I get bummed that it is so easy for people who aren't even trying and so hard for us who really want one. I am blessed with my boy and really want another and the thought of going through the whole IVF again is terrifying! Not to mention $$$.

Where is everyone? Had appt with RE and decided to go for another IVF in May only. Oh well! Bean just does not want to let go of his boobies! I didn't want to deal with the stress of weaning him quickly then doing IVF.
