Hi everyone! I've been reading but not posting. I've been continuously sick with one virus after another from my students at school and have been just miserable. I was so upset because I just couldn't see how I could be so ill, coughing so violently, but the baby could be ok. We had our last OB visit last Tuesday, and sure enough, all was well! Poor thing was trying to get some leg room, but there was nowhere to go lol! We recorded the u/s on dvd, and I've watched it a million times. :D OB can't tell for sure yet, but he THINKS it's a boy. But, two women I know who had him were told the same thing at first. Both had girls. Guess we'll know for certain at our next appt in 4 weeks! Glad to hear you are all doing well. Like I said, I don't post much, but I check in on you ladies all the time. (((hugs)))

So I just back from the doc and my bloodclot is almost gone! YAY! He gave me the go ahead back to work but to still try to take it easy over the next few days and also we can't have sex for another 3 days...I hate that! I swear I'm like a guy! Hee! Hee! My baby girl was so acrobatic today during the ultrasound waving her hands and moving her legs...it really put me at ease.

Dogzrule: That's awful that you've been sick so much. ICK! Hopefully you'll start feeling better soon and I'm glad your baby is ok.

Cressy: Thanks for all the info. I think I'm spilling the beans on Facebook tonight ;-)

Anyone else here on Facebook? I would love to put a face to your name and story :-)

Dogzrule: I'm so sorry you have been sick. I have been trying to stay away from people at work. I'm scared of getting the flu! I got my regular flu shot, but the swine flu shot is not available here yet. I hope you feel better soon!

tortillachip: Great news on the blood clot being gone.

I'm jealous of all you girls in your 15th and 16th week! I'll just be 13 weeks tomorrow - not due until April 29th!

I know most of you are a couple weeks ahead of me, but is everyone already in maternity clothes? I bought some pants last week. They are SO comfortable. There are still some of my regular pants that I can fit into, but very few!

Today the ultrasound technician said it was a girl... not sure if I should run out and by dresses but she said she would bet on it.

Awesome appointment, the baby was normal according to ultrasound so downs was not present but they still do a blood test too.

The baby was holding its hands, rubbing its face, stretching its lakes out and moving all around... then right after she got all the photos she needed, the baby fell asleep.

Hello! I have been reading everyday, but don't always post.

Cressicaw: How far along are you now? I always have heard that they can say it's a girl and it can be a boy, but if they see it's a boy---it's a boy! So I'm not sure--- how far along you are will defiantly determine if you are defiantly having a girl.

Skipper: I have been in maternity pants since 8 wks. I'm expecting twins though. At first I could still fit in my pants, but they just put pressure on my belly when I sat down so I went into the maternity pants because they were SO much more comfortable.

Tortilla: Great news on the bloodclot!! It is so cool to see them move isn't it? During yesterdays u/s we found out that the placenta for one baby is over my cervix and they want to see if it moves so no sex until next appointment in two weeks so I know how you feel!!!

Dogz: Sorry you've been sick- me too and it's awful!

AFM: TWO BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!! We were shocked. I was sure they were one of each or two girls. We brought our 8 year old daughter w us. She was so excited to see the babies, but disappointed not to be getting a sister. We explained to her that God knew she needed to be the only princess in our house right now. She was a little bit better when my husband explained that he and her would still do things by themselves. She i guess was worried that He would only want to spend time with the boys. I know it's a HUGE change for her to even have the babies at all, but she loves babies so much.
The babies were hilarious though! They are laying on top of each other and one kept standing on his head and he would pull his knees in and haul off and kick his brother in the head! He did it over and overa nd over! Poor little guy. Good thing they have seperate sacs or he would really be getting beat up.. He just would arch his back and try to kind of move away but then go back to sleep.
I have a sore throat at my appointment and my dr. is putting everyone with sore throat on the medicine they use for swine flu! My pharmacist said they can't keep up. They are running out of meds!! 54 kids got sent home from the Junior High school here with swine flu yesterday! I havnt' gotten a chance to get the vac because they just had a clinic last night but I can't have it until I'm well. Today my head is stopped up and I'm coughin and just ache- feel like a Mac truck ran me over :)

lw918 - They never really know 100% until you deliver. My best friend had a girl last year and the doctor told her he was 99% sure she was having a boy and guess what happened, she was crushed as she decorated the entire nursery in a jungle theme.

The technician said she would bet money on it, we have a pic with the two legs up and two lines in between, she said the baby posed for her and is not shy at all.

We'll see... I'm 13 weeks... no matter what they say and how far along I am, I will be decorating in neutral themes as my best friend was crying in the delivery room and I do not want to go through that.

Hey preggo ladies! I am FINALLY feeling better woohoo!!!! And I finally broke down and bought some maternity clothes today because I am now at that point. I held out for a long time lol.

lw - That was hilarious to hear about one baby kicking the other. Too funny!

Our OB says he THINKS it's a boy but can't swear to it because it was still a little too early (this was almost 2 weeks ago). I talked to a girlfriend who also had him, and she said he said the same thing to her and another lady, and they both had girls. BUT the OB figured that out at their next appointment, so it's not like it happened at delivery. Thank goodness!

Hi everyone

Glad to hear everyone seems to be doing well.

Dogz - glad you are feeling better. Get into those maternity clothes and be comfortable. I gave up and started wearing some trousers a couple of weeks ago and some tops this week. I still have about 6 non maternity tops that are ok though.

Cress - I know what you mean about not fully trusting what they say the sex is. When we get told I think I will be the same. We have done everything neutral so far. A girl at work was told she was having a girl this year, she bought everything pink and even a bridesmaids dress for her sisters wedding next year and then had a boy!

Lw - what a funny story about the ultrasound. That must have been amazing to see!

tortilla - so pleases the bloodcot has gone. I hope you are feeling more secure now.

True - I can understand your hesitation decorating and buying. For us it was a bit different obviously and we just want to stay positive and get excited (although I still worry at any pain). We have quite a lot of stuff now but we want to spread the cost as much as possible. We are really lucky as my SIL has given us loads of stuff. I hope you will be able to really enjoy this pregnancy soon.

AFM, I am 17 weeks now with only 23 to go. It seems such a long way off but not really. It's just over 2 weeks to our anatomy scan and hopefully we'll find out the sex. Then my next scheduled check is 8 weeks later! So while the leave is better in the UK I think we are lacking a bit in the pre natal care! I guess that's the difference between private and national healthcare.I do have a 24 hour emergency number for the midwife though and they will come and see me if I am worried, so that's really good.
I feel the baby regularly now ( and have been for about 10 - 14 days) which is amazing.

Hey everyone.. hope everyone is doign well.. Looks like the entire gang is now in their second trimester, that it such a wonderful thing!!!!

Tortilla.. I am glad you have found comfort in elastic waistlines :) It such a wonderful thing. I have found maternity expensive, as we don't get much wear out of them but it is worth the comfort. I started feeling movements at about 13 weeks this pregnancy, they aren't very regular though.. I sometimes feel a little crampy though in that area, and it may be him moving around cause it's not constant. I am anxiously awaiting some kicks, not sure when that will happen.

Angie.. that is goo dyour non pregnant tops still work. I have had to move over to maternity and don;t have enough belly(gut) to feel them. Sometimes I think I look foolish.. All my regular shirts are tight ont he belly and I look like a fat monster in them. That is great that you were able to get some things form your SIL.. My ssiter just had a little boy, so I may be able to get some things fom her.. We haven't told anyone besides our immediate family, so may get help elsewhere.

Dogz... how cool if you are having a bot... looks like we are having a good mix of both on this site... I have 3 weeks until I have the "official" anatomy scan, but they were able to tell me at 15 weeks. Got a pretty good picture of his man part, so if he turns out to be a girl I would be truly amazed....LOL

Cressica.. I understand your concern with decorating and being disappointed... There are so many things in theneutral colors. I think I am going to take my chances and buy blue when I get enough courage to start shopping.

AFM... Not much going on... I have been havnig some sharp shooting pains in my stomach and through to my cervix. I talk to the nurse, and they never seem to worry about anything. Seems like you must be bleeding for them to have concerns. Has anyone else experienced this? I Started my 17P injection, and last week I was in a very fragile state. 2 days ago, I hit the mark where I lost my twins last pregnancy so I was filled with so many emotions. We have passed that milestone, and anxiously awaiting getting to 24 weeks. We are taking baby steps, I think I am waiting until then to start making any purchases, and I am hoping to start getting excited about the baby.

How is everyone else feeling? Anyone having any weird cravings? How many pounds have you all gained to date? Any weird or crazy pains?

Hey Ladies. So glad to hear that everyone is doing great and moving right along.

--tortilla and skipper: maternity clothes are the best. i started wearing them at 10 weeks when my belly just popped out. i now look like am in my 5th month. As long as the baby continues to grow.

--started to feel flutters in my lower stomach which i read is the baby moving. most of the time it is at night.

- dogz congrats on the news. that is awesome. u must be so thrilled. confirm again at the 20wk scan. now u can start planning and thinking of names. we made a long list.

--LW: Congrats on the two boys. Wow! So funny about the babies. Hope u feel better soon and can get the shot. I got mine last week. Thank goodness.

--True: I also have been getting pains in my pelvic area and the doctor said that it is just the ligaments stretching. So don't worry. Congrats on passing the really tough milestone. Mine is coming up in a week an a half. Dreading it. Already started to feel depressed. I keep one his u/s pics and refer to him as our angel watching over his little sister. Baby steps is all we can take. ((((Hugs))))

AFM: went for a prenatal massage yesterday with a friend who just had a baby. it felt so good. def going to go again once am in my 3rd trimester. Nothing much else going on. Went for an u/s last week and everything looking good so far. Going for the AFP blood test tomorrow and then getting ready for my trip on the 6th. So excited but nervous about the long flight!

Cressi: Congrats on another girl to the group. Yah! The scans with the baby all over the place are the best.

Babiesgalore: Yes maternity clothes are the best! I was just looking into a maternity massage. I used to get massages all the time, but I haven't had one in 3 1/2 months!! What bloodtest are you getting?
Where are you going on your trip? Sorry I guess I haven't been keeping up.

Truebeliever: I'm sure it was a very emotional time for you and I'm so sorry for your previous loss. I BELIEVE your twin angels are looking out for you and keeping you safe. I too have had some shooting pains in my lower tummy and the doc says that's very normal, especially when getting up or changing positions. Just breathe deeply and try doing some meditation when you get you anxious. It helps me. I'm thinking of you. Oh- I've gained 6 pounds so far.

Cressy: i loved seeing your prego belly pic on Facebook! When are you posting pictures of the nursery?

AFM: Nothing too exciting going on. I'm wearing my maternity clothes now, which is fantastic and I'm so much more comfortable. My hubby got a sinus infection and went to the doctor, which she treated him with antibiotics. She also treated him for the flu just as a precaution because of the pregnancy, which i thought was really nice of her. I will not be getting the flu shot or swine flu shot. I hope I don't get sick!!
