LOU- I've been pregnant and have a DD my real first signs were breast tenderness and increased urination. I know the shots can cause some prego signs too. I took a HPT with my DD and was neg @ home couple days later took HPT @ office and was positive. I did take one with my failed IVF cycle and it is heart breaking to not see the extra line and wonder if it was just to early Good luck to you, 2 ww is NERVE WRACKING !!!!!!

LULU- I've done antagonist protocol cause RE couldn't suppress me with lupron x 2 IVF cycles.Lupron I think stimulated me even more and never suppressed me. Ganarelix is expensive but worked on suppressing me right away.Both drugs suppress just work differently on the pitiuatary. Bonus shorter cycles less needles produced 15 embryos on it. I was @ RE office for a week straight that week was borderline for hyperstimulating.If you have any let me know.

Well I had my dr visit this morning and it went well!! I started my first Ganerelix shot today. I am up to three shots a day the nurse did not tell me es level on the results line I was wondering if it had doubled I guess I will have to wait until Wens my retrieval should be this weekend very excited

Lucky her Oh and your friend w/ the baby shower... hope you got her just a bag of diapers or something... or maybe a plain white 1-z or something.. not too fancy (*ok im being a snot here.. teehee.. its the meds..lol )

wanbemom: i hope you're RE gets their head out of their A#$ ( i hope that's ok to say here... ) you ALWAYS have a RIGHT to ask... And TELL them how you feel and Im sure there is a manager of the office. If you don't say something, how they gonna fix it. And if you have said someting and they didnt change... Well there is your answer. An Hours drive is a walk in the park when you have a BFP at the end of the Drive! that just my 2cents , its worth alot more though... lol

Olim78: How are the injections going??? I got my Follie Pen all ready tonight... Its cocked and loaded and in the fridge and ready to go!! Teehhee.. my DH so wanted to "set up the meds" but i kindly told him, NO!! (sorry a nurse here..) He is so excited it think.. he totally played with the Follie pen the day we got the drugs in..lol Ok maybe not that excited, but a guy and a big kid=new toy in the house!



I start stim in the am!! Im doing follistim 300 am & pm and menpure in the pm as well... they got me all fired up on the stim!! My DH is so excited about the shots.. more of a fasination of them i think... i think he wanted to be a md instead of an attorney.. (dont worry he is a good kind in the IP world) he thinks he is so down with all the IVF.

My RE gave him anti to take on my day one of stim and he is so worried about taking them on time.. He got them all out and ready to take with him to work in the am (like he was packing a lunch or something...)... (its only a Z-pac...lol ) I guess its kinda cute that he is so "READY" to take his meds...lol

Ok well to all the ladies who ive missed, sorry!! We're getting so big!! Like i said before, i so have to make notes as i read down... But I will try to get to everyone! It keeps me sane reading all of you're post!!

Hi everyone -

I hope you all are doing well today. Finally November is here! I swear that each try the waiting portion gets even worse! I've been researching my lastest protocol, but am not finding too much detail on it, but I did realize that already mine is different from the standard EPP/ Antagonist as I'm only on Estrace for 3 weeks. My RE did say that this time he will be "manipulating" my meds since this is the last try ( at least w/ this RE)
So I'm finally feeling more positive about it! I have my med class tomorrow so I'll have a lot of questions this time (usually its like - yeah, yeah, I've done this this before - he he) Is it just me or is anyone else kind of lost without a thread list? I dont mind doing it, I'm just not trying to step on anyone's toes!

franny -thanks, hon! How are you doing? I missed you too! Yes, this was a rough year for us also, but I do believe that we'll end the year on a high note!

chris -How are your stims going? Grow those follies, girl!

2010 -I feel for you! lupron hot flashes are awful! If you've been dealing with the lupron headaches as well, the good news is that they will subside! I know, not quick enough - hang in there!

Jenice -Dont let the clinic drive you crazy - with what we all have to spend on this - insist (in a nice way) that you get all the info you need

lulu -I'll be doing my 3rd Antagonist protocol - it supresses you directly & added bonus is less shots! best of luck to you!

lou -The 2ww is absolute torment! But a bit of brown spotting is considered to be a good sign! (implantation spotting) So yippee!

julia -Estrace is estrogen. It helps with the eggs, lining & raises your E2

Me2009 -Yes, its hard to keep up w/out taking notes, these threads get huge! Another reason that we need a list. Your DH sounds like mine! I think its cute when they get all excited abhout this process. Its so easy to forget that they're going through all this as well. Although it must be nice to be in their shoes instead of the one in the stirrups all the time! Wishing you the best of luck with stims!

I've been sort of lurking around this thread and the Sept/Oct thread because this has been a CRAZY IVF ride....I started in September and was doing very well with my cycle...I had 30 follies and the night I was supposed to HCG trigger, they had me mix the mixture and unfortunately there was a glitch and I gave myself a shot of air. They cancelled my retrievel and then I ended up ovulating on my own that cycle and they had me do a natural IUI...I just got my AF yesterday and talked with the nurse this morning and got my new schedule!!!

Start BCP 11/3
Start Lupron 11/12
End BCP 11/15
Start Stims 11/18
Possible Retrievel 11/29

I am actually very excited and have good feelings about this!! It will be right after Thanksgiving and hopefully by Chanukah/Christmas time I will have some good news to tell the family

It is so good to see some names from the Sept/Oct thread (turle, katie, teachermom...) and I look forward to us going through this together

And thanks for keeping me in your prayer as well. The past weekend is so busy for us since I need to do the US on both SAT and SUN. Finally, my 8 follicles are catching up, but there is one leading follicles with 22mm and the rest is pretty much around 14-19mm range. I believe by the time for the ER, the leading one will be too matured. Anyways, RE said that will be the best shot.

One question for you, do you feel any cramping/uncomfort after the ER??

Hi All ladies.

I took my HCG shots last night with help from my DH. He was really good at it, no soreness this morning, and feel nothing @ the shot. It was a hugh relief since when I saw the needle, it is consider hugh when compare with the rest of the shots I had during the past two weeks. My ER is scheduled on Tomorrow 11/3. Anyone can let me know what to expect during this date? any discomfort? what will help??

One more question is I need to take the progesterone verginal pill 3 times a day, is anyone have some experience can share with me? what needs to be watch out?

Hi 2010

Lupron did give me headache during the last 2-3 days of 10units shot. I took Advil and it helps but when I ask RE, he told me never take Advil, only Tyleno is ok since Advil will make you bleed more during ER if bleeding occurs.

But when I reduced Lupron to 5 untis intead, the headache were gone. Hope you can relief from those side effect soon.
