olim78 my cycle was canceled on day 8 of stims. i had a dominant follie and they said the others wouldnt have time to catch up. my dominant one was 19mm then i had 2 at 12mm and like 6 or 7 that were really small. on my follow up my RE said that the lupron suppressed me too much, and that for the first IVF cycle they just use the data from my age and weight that have the best results for people in the same group. i guess it really is just a trial run, but there are many many woman that 1 is all it takes! my RE tweeked my cycle this time and i have to trust that she knows what is right. i would question things if she kept everything the same each cycle.

2010 I broke down and called my clinic today to ask if my last embie made it to freezing stage. It did. I also took the opportunity to ask about my tinge of spotting the evening after my transfer. The nurse told me it very well could've been implantation bleeding. I'm sure Lupron could also cause spotting. I wouldn't worry. Good luck at your u/s!

LuLu668 OK, I'm taking your advice and not doing the HPT. I'll take the news as it's given to me.... unless I can't stand it and change my mind...lol. I'm hanging in there. And I agree... get the H1N1 vaccine if you all have the opportunity. Pregnant women are high risk. I got mine 2 weeks ago!

turtle0619 The accupuncture was interesting. I've never had it done before. She's new to it and did what she was trained on so far. I have to admit I feel pretty good today and I slept VERY well last night. Coincidence?

baby hopes Thanks for the POAS advice. I actually did one on Monday to see if the HCG was out of my system and I got a negative. Not even a faint line. So I'm scared to do another one before my beta... I think I'll just wait. I don't want a false negative HPT and a few hours isn't going to make much different in my wait anyway.

katie99 Thanks for the day by day info. According to this, I won't have detectable amounts of HCG to test for until the day of my beta anyway... so I will just wait. Better than a false negative.

olim78 Not a stupid question! Assisted hatching is not the same as getting to the blastocyst stage. It involves using a needle to puncture the shell prior to ET. It cannot attach unless it "hatches" so this just speeds up the process and makes implantation more likely. It can be done on a 3d or a 5d embryo. It also increases the risk of identical twinning.

Right - now I'm getting completely paranoid - since writing my long post this afternoon, and for about the last hour, I have been feeling a dull ache type pain, sort of like in the days before AF - now I'm worried that it's the start of OHSS! (my brain is jumping completely irrationally from understimulation to OHSS - am driving myself nuts!) I know that feeling bloated is normal towards the end of stims however does this sound normal for day 8 of stims - anyone have any thoughts?!

Katie-thanks for taking over the tracker-I really loved it during the Sept/Oct months and I love when you get to jump to the next category!! I am beginning BCP tonight so I know which list I will be on!!

Lou-stay strong during the 2ww!!! I literally for the last year have convinced myself that I have pregnancy symptoms during those two weeks, so I find it is so hard not to obsess over every little thing...so I bought a chair message and a facial steamer to try and calm myself and do some home pampering!! That is great news that your last embie made it frostie stage!!!

Turtle: I just found out that my doctor is giving me 20 units of Lupron and then 10 units once I start Follistim and I'm nervous they are going to oversupress me....I think they are doing this because I had sooo many follies and my ovaries got large last cycle that this will happen again but I'm nervous!!! I just emailed my DR so hopefully she will calm me down!! I'm so happy that we are a few days apart on our cycle

olim-again...try not to stess about what we can't control! I'm sure your other follies have caught up to the 8mm and that you will be just fine!!

2010-I didn't have headaches with Lupron but I do acupuncture and she told me that it does help a lot with headaches and it definitely relaxes the body so something to think about!

me2009-my dh is also a lawyer-a prosecutor so we are also calling him a "good" lawyer to people! What kind of law do you and your husband practice?

Question for you guys:

Ok on second day of Stim, 300 follistim am & PM (total of 600 follis a day) and then Im taking menopur 75 u in the pm as well.

So I totally started an AF yesterday, after starting the first injections.

Has anyone else had this happen? My RE said, i might get a light AF, but its a bit more than "light", its not my "typical" in color, ect.. but still NOT light.


Also, how far into you're stim did you all start to feel like crappy...

I feel cramps, but not sure if its AF, or My follies??

I went in today nurse called me and told me that my progesterone was to high my e2 was 3300 which is perfect for this stage she said that I could go ahead and trigger tonight but we would have to freeze the embies and I will have to do a FET in January I am just a little confused on the situation I thought they wanted the progestorone level to be elevated. Well I am thankful we made it this far. So I am praying for alot of little frosties!! I hope everyone is doing well and pray for all positive results!!

Hello again ladies! I've been away for a few days and am trying to catch up. There are a lot of us on here. I went for supression check today. They said I was suppressed and ready to go. There were no micro follicles present, so they went on and increased the amount of fsh I am to take. I am on a micro flare protocol and going to take 300 units 2x a day of fsh. I'm a little concerned with the lack of micro follicles, does this mean I may not develop any eggs? Anyway, best of luck to you all. I hope a can keep up to date with this thread better.

Well my med class was a complete waste of my day. All thats different for me this time is I'm taking estrace instead of BCP! I cant believe they had me spend 4 hrs in the car for that! Sorry to be MIA i've been quite busy this pass couple of weeks and quite frankly just not looking forward to any of this again but still am trudging on. This is my third thread back to back i have been on so fingers crossed third time lucky. Its great to see some familiar names again katie your here great to hear you are starting again.
AFM I have stopped bcp still on syneral sniff twice a day and on 450 iu of gonal f. I started that on saturday so first scan for follies this sat 7 if all goes we'll ER on Friday 13 my re said a very lucky day. Hey turtle great to see you too this is definately our time this round

Katie99 – brilliant tracker – thank you for spending the time to do it - our numbers are definitely growing! How annoying about your meds class – every trip to the hospital for me is quite a trek in the car so I know how frustrating it is. So difficult arranging everything around work too. I am working from home this week which is making life a little easier. P.s. my next u/s is Friday 11/6.

Cheekyone – hey there – I found out today that my ER might be on Friday 13th too –so I’ve now decided from today, NOT to be superstitious!

Tabbdm – you’re right – it’s great that you got to this stage and here’s hoping for lots of frosties to be kept cold over Christmas ready for your FET in Jan!

10bear – hope your ER went ok?

Kerribell – yay for suppression – that’s the first hurdle out of the way – keep going!

Me2009 – I’m afraid I’m as in the dark as you about AF on stims – I had one day of very light AF, wouldn’t even call it AF to be honest and then it went and that was also on day 2, so fingers crossed it just goes...I didn’t start to feel crappy until yesterday – 1 week in.

Claud662 – I definitely think that acupuncture helped with the headaches and I only go once a week.

Lou71 – good news about your frostie - hope you are hanging in there...

Right, went for my u/s today and follies have grown since Monday but only by a little – I am clearly a slow responder to the drugs. I have 9 follicles on the left with 4 worth measuring (9.5, 9, 9, and rather worryingly I have about 20 on the right, but with 5 of a size worth measuring (11.5, 11, 11, 9,5, . On Monday and today the nurse said that my response to the drugs is how someone with PCOS would respond (which I definitely don’t have) so I think they are having to be careful about overstimulation. Anyway, as they are so slow to grow, I am now looking at ER more towards next Wed 11/11, or Fri 11/13 (Fri 13th – arrrgh!) Can’t stand all the waiting – it seems to take forever! What do these numbers sound like to anyone (i’m on day 9 of stims)...
