LOU- so sorry for you and your DH. I've been through that my last cycle and it totally sucks. I know I was devastated. Just keep your chin up, you have a frostie left. Tomorrow I have my FET with 2 frosties and they have survived the thaw :D I must say FET cycle is so much easier, I wish I had more saved.I already have child and if I had to go through it again and again even though I complain the entire time and my hubby probably needs ear plugs, I'll do it over and over again. You only need one frostie to make a baby :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

hello ladies, good day to everyone! :)

Katie99: thank you! my transfer day is going to be on 11/23.

Lou: Sorry for the BFN! Big hugs!

AFM, the meds are making me dizziness and slow down my thoughts. I am very sensitive to spicy stuff now which I was not before. I will have diarrhea and nasal itchiness. I'm taking estrace 2mg, medrol 16mg, 4 vivielle dot 0.1 patches, and lupron just reduced to 2.5u since Saturday.

LOU - i'm so so sorry... please dont give up.. one of my best friends (the only one who has done ivf) also had BFN the first time then did FET and has a healthy baby daugther now. she was telling me how much easier it was and how much more relaxed she was and she is convinced thats why she got pregnant with FET...im thinking about you.

Sorry I have been gone so long from the blog but I have been feeling sorry for myself (something I found I do a lot of with this whole IVF thing). My cycle was canceled this month because implantation would have happened during my clinics closing dec 15th till jan 4th. They wanna play it safe so I am looking to post jan 4th ER (maybe).
LOU-- I found myself checking the site all day waiting for your results. Now I feel like a utter fool for feeling sorry for myself. I am so sorry that it did not work out I know what that feels like and it's devastating. It took me a couple of months to get back on the IVF horse again but I lacked the support and felt all alone. YOU HAVE support with all of us.... YOU ARE not alone!!! You have a frostie so that is extremely positive for you and your DH.
Claud 662- Thanks for the posting on what your DR said. It always seems helpful to hear what other DR are saying. I am 36 and we are having planned ICIS and assisted hatching b/c my eggs are not the best I think the described them as pitted
Kerribell-- goodluck with the u/s keep us posted
Jenice-- good luck with FET thinking of you
Lulu, me 2009 and supergenius-- grow follies grow..
10Bear---try to stay positive. like everyone is saying it only takes one to become a BFP
Olim78 and teachermom-- hope your ER goes smoothly. Take it easy for a couple of days!!!
sending baby dust to all!!!!!!!

hello ladies,

someone asked about assisted hatching. I have asked RE before. He told us that no AH needed if transfer 2 embies. But AH is needed if transfer only 1 embie. He told us that it can create some harm and therefore AH only if needed. In our case, the nurse put a note to embryologist so that they can stop and ask RE before moving to AH or not. We're planning to transfer 2 embies if possible.

My DH has morpholity and mobility issues on his sperms. RE suggested him to do ICSI.

Lou - I'm so sorry to hear that. It's so unfair how our bodies completely trick us isn't it - you can just never tell. I remember convincing myself every month that every twinge was me getting pregnant and I obviously wasn't, I just rember feeling so cheated.

I hope we can all still help you along the rest of your IVF journey -on to your FET next cycle, which will come around in no time... Thinking of you.

Thank you everyone for your kind support after my BFN today. You're all right, it does suck. But I'm doing my best to remain positive. DH has very high hopes for our "good frozen embryo" and my clinic says I can use it next cycle. So I will call them when AF arrives, supposedly in the next 7-10 days. Then I will start BCP's and be on my way to a FET likely in December 2009. So I'm definitely still with you guys! "It ain't over til BFP!!!"

I noticed that the link sangria posted with the embryo pics was actually from my clinic. They are great and I have a lot of faith in my RE and the staff there. I WILL get a BFP. I'm doing the shared risk plan and have 2 more fresh IVF cycles plus any frozens included in what I already paid. So I have at least 3 more chances right now.

katie99 -- Well, you're just gonna have to move my name on your tracker cuz I'm still in! I've updated my signature and will let you know when I start BCP's.

Jenice I know you are doing a FET tomorrow and I am really pulling for you. What was your protocol to prepare for the FET?

olim78 Good luck on your ER tomorrow! Looking forward to hearing your awesome fertilization report!

2010 Thanks for that. I love FET success stories! Anyone got any others?

I've had a terrible headache today. At least now I can take Excedrin without worry. I'm thinking of all of you and hope for lot's of BFP's very soon. Each BFP on this board will be a little more hope for me.

Hey everyone,

Thanks for everyone's well wishes today.

Claud- Glad you had fun at the wedding. I had 1 day to enjoy a couple of glasses of wine before the next cycle began, so I completely understand! As for ICSI and Assisted Hatching- my RE is planning on doing ICSI definitely and Assisted Hatching if necessary.

me 2009- I definitely have a new appreciation for Friday the 13th! My ET will be in Friday :D

cheekyone- It looked like I was going to have a dominant follicle this cycle too, but the rest continued to grow and caught up. Also, as for Embryo Glue my clinic uses it for everyone. I used it for my very 1st IVF cycle in 2007 and had my DD. Not saying it was because of the glue (which is a protein that is supposed to help the embie stick), but I am definitely doing what worked for me last time- and then some. My RE is also doing co-culture which is supposed to help women of my new age bracket (over 38  )

to have fun- my RE always does a 3 day transfer with me due to my age and the fact that I have so few embies to begin with.

Turtle (Franny)- It's always so nice to hear from you! My beta is the day before Thanksgiving so I sm hoping to have a lot more to be thankful for this year! The kiddies in my class are settling down, but are far more crazy than my fellow nuts here :D I took Samantha to the Dr. yesterday because she has a bad cold and they also saw that she is cutting 3 MOLARS at the same time. She said she is a real trooper because with the cold and the molars she should be miserable and she's really not. How are things with you? So happy about your baby in a box. I'm always excited when I get the delivery too. Although I don't get chocolate :( Hope you are enjoying your Sushi and Lobster this week- you deserve every last bit of it! I see you are coming to NY at Christmas time. What part of NY? As for a drink that looks like a "drink" try cranberry and 7 up- worked for me when I wanted to feel like I was having a drink at social functions when I was pregnant. We do have the day off tomorrow, but Michele has an endoscopy, but we'll be taking it easy after that.

10 bear- you have to try to keep you PMA up- it only takes 1!! :)

katie99- thanks for keeping up the list. It's so nice to get a snapshot of where everyone is.

lou 71- I'm so sorry. big ((((hugs)))) to you. I'm glad to hear you are already planning your FET too.

AFM- are you ready for this??? They got 7- yes SEVEN eggs today!!!! That is unheard of for me!!!! SEVEN!!!! We were hoping for 4-5 and that was being optimistic, but 7!!! We are elated. Probably won't sleep tonight waiting for our fertilization call in the morning. Will let you all know when I find out. I think it was thanks to the trying follistim instead of gonal f and all the PMA and prayers from here. Thank you everyone! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

HI Lou,

I am so so sorry for you. I was looking all over for your reply this afternoon.  But, on the bright side, you will have frozen one and there is always hope right?,

I just went to my post operation check up. My RE feel even sorry for me and she was in shock of the low fertilization rate. She kind of feeling even worse than myself. Everything was great according to her but just don't know why we have that low fertilization rate. I was thinking, may be it is faith and it mean to be like that. I still recalled every time I see RE during my US, they said it is normal, nothing to worry. I ask about the 4A embroy transfered, my RE told me that the chance is very rare and in her life, she only saw one sucess case with this kind of grading :(
So for the rest of ladies, I strongly suggest ICSI no matter what, if your insurance can cover it, that will be great, if not, out of pocket's $1800 is kind of cheap ( I know it is still a lot of money) in compare with the whole process of 15,000K

I will stay around until the end of the 2WW, and wish the best of all of you.

mommiesof2I started my lupron 10/6 and I am due for my er the first week of December. ET is the second week of December. How about you. Oh, yes it is cute you are with your first boyfriend. I really like that story.
Lou I am so sorry about your news. I know how it feels to be disappointed I had seven m/c in four years. A lot of people don't know you already had the baby hundreds of times in your head. You daydream about the bfp and how your dh will react, so it's really sad when you have to change your reality. I know it hasn't hit you yet but, when it does remember you still have another chance. If you want too. Please have my deepest sympathy.
