Well ladies I do my lupron injection tomorrow but had a question. With my last IVF (different RE) I did lupron subcut.daily for a few weeks. This time I just do it once amd it is IM. Has anyone done it this way or know the difference between the two? They call this one lupron depot instead of plain lupron. I am ok with less shots but worried it will wear off!baseline ultrasound and labs the 25th. Start stims 26th.It can't come fast enough!
Fingers crossed for all u guys!
By the way no one ever answered me long ago. Who is ghost? Does anyone know?

justwannabamom although i dont know much about it i know they use lupron depot for endometriosis for months of treatment. after my surgery to find out i had stage 4 endo i went to my gyno for my follow up and she told me i had 2 options...go on lupron depot for 6 months and then have another surgery to try to remove more of the endo and then ttc on my own...or go see and RE and do IVF....well...obviously i chose IVF so i never went on the depot. the only info i can find on it online is that it is used BEFORE trying IVF. i would talk to you RE and ask them alot of questions....it seems strange to me because the one shot will suppress you a LOT! i would be more worried about it over suppressing then wearing off.
as for ghost....nobody really knows who he is..he works in a clinic but is not a doctor...all that i know is that he knows alot of info and gives honest answers to everyone's questions....
good luck hun!

LOU- FET is soooo much easier. My FET cycle is a little different than most. I never suppressed with lupron so I had to do the antagonist protocol with my IVF cycle. So again I'm doing ganarelix in place of lupron it does the samething and suppresses you from ovulating and then estrace pills for the last couple of weeks start @ 1 x a day then increases to 2 x aday then 3 x aday.It is all mapped out for you to build the endometrium lining. I went in for baseline b/c and ultrasound and then started the ganarelix and estrace pills. they checked me about 2 weeks later for b/c and ultrasound to make sure everything was okay and week later transfer. I am only going to the RE 3 times, which is fabulous !!!!!! Currently the past couple of days I am taking alot of pills around transfer estrace, medrol, started progesterone shots plus ganarelix and prenatal vits. It almost feels like a vacation from IVF. My last cycle I was borderline hyperstimulating so I had blood work done like 8 days straight @ the office visits every other day. Not to mention my office is @ least an hour away. I woiuld also have to bring my DD with me, alot running around. I just wish I didn't go to blast last cycle I had 10 embies I could of had 6 in the freezer. FET so much less stressful than IVF cycle. If this cycle doesn't work out for me and I do a fresh I'm freezing all my embies :) Sorry again for your BFN, I was very upset about mine the meds made me feel pregnant which just made it worse. I almost felt as upset as when I had lost my early pregnancies. Every month getting a period is dissapointing when trying to have a baby but to go through a whole IVF cycle and it fail was devastating. Each day goes by it will get a little better, just don't give up hope :D

Hi again everyone - I spent the better part of an hour reading some of the older posts on this message board just to get myself up to speed. I am so amazed at how supportive and knowledgeable you all are. I already feel like I have found a great new support network to get me through this craziness.

I took notes this first time to attempt personals. I am amazed at how you guys keep track! So I apologize in advance if I screw up any of the dates/milestones. Hopefully once I start doing it more often it will come easier. :D

turtle0610 - you were one of the first to respond to my initial post and it sounds like we are on a similar schedule. I laughed when I ready your baby in a box story. Honestly it took me a while to figure out what the heck that meant. I had already gotten mine but just didn't put two and two together. Please let me know how your base check goes on Friday and I'll do the same.

kerribell - do you know any more about your ER next week? How are the stims goins? I will be starting my first round of them Friday so I need all the advice I can get.

mally - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for your transfer the week of 11/23. That is probably when I will be doing my ER.

Lou - I am so sorry to hear about your situation. I can't say I understand because I am just starting this process but I have had three miscarriages and I know it's rough.

jenice - thanks for sharing your Clomid experience. And good luck with your FET tomorrow!!!!!

claud662 - sounds like there are several of us stimming within a week of each other. Good luck!!

teachermom
- Congrats on 7 eggs - I have my fingers crossed that you will have great news about fertilization tomorrow.

LuLu - do you know when your ER is? I think you said 11/12 or 11/13?

cheekyone - i have been following all of your posts - I have my fingers crossed for your ER - is it still Friday 11/13?

to_have_fun08 - so glad to hear that you got 6 fertilized eggs - hoping that by now you have had a successful transfer

10 bear - I'm hoping for the best on your single transfer. From the stories here it sounds like there is hope. Keep your head up!!!!

julia_78 - so cool to talk to someone from NC! I am in Charlotte but I went to NC State so was in Raleigh for about 5 years. I come back to visit every once in a while b/c many of my college friends are still there.

2010 - I know you were disappointed not to have your ER this week. Good luck with your next u/s - hoping that things go next week without a hitch.

olim_78 - Good luck with your ER tomorrow!!!!!! I have everything crossed that it goes well!

skyler - thank you so much for sharing your story of having kids and then having to go through IVF. It's really a crazy situation because I never expected that I would be going through this. My older sister is pregnant with her 4th (yes I said 4th) and though I am happy for her at the same time it drives me crazy!!!!!!

supergenius
- was your 2nd u/s today? Hoping that you have a successful ER next week.

WHEW!!!!! I can't believe I got through all of that. Hopefully I did an OK job for my first time. As I talk to you guys more I am sure I will learn the lingo and be able to do this without taking notes. :)

AFM - My base check is Friday and I am very anxious. So far I have had no symptoms on Lupron. Talked to the RE nurse today and she said that was fine and that some people don't have any reaction. I know there is always the possibility things won't move forward as planned but hoping I will have good news in a few days!!!

Hi everyone -

If no one minds I'm thinking to combine the injectables & stims sections on our tracker, the list is getting really big!

Olim -wishing you so much luck tomorrow! hoping for many healthy eggs! rest up after!

franny -of course i'll share my chocolate with you! Now if they only sent something more fun than plain hershey's kisses we'd be in business!
You reminded me, tues will be pay the pharmacy day - jeez, at this point is there any buy 4 cycles & get the next free? come on its a good idea!

jenice -Good luck with your FET tomorrow! get some rest after!

teachermom - OMG 7 retreived!!!!! I would do the happy for that amount!! cant wait to hear tom. fert report!! :D

Kerribell -I had the same last cycle, just 2 fert. Now all we need is the right 2 .... crossed for your u/s on wed! hoping they see lots of follies!

10bear -I'm not giving up on your cycle! wishing you loads of PMA!
When is your beta?

Dodo -hang in there, i know the side effects are awful, but worth the price of a BFP!

Lou -I love how you just jump right back in! ( I did it like that twice) now you have 2 spots on our tracker because you're special! :D

justwannabeamom -I've only heard of depot lupron being used to treat, suppress E2 to slow down endometriosis - maybe your RE is thinking that you have only a bit to clean up? or was your e2 high last cycle? With what we all pay for this, you should ask flat out what is it being used to treat? let us know, its very interesting.

Ashley -you are so cute, we all have to take notes! I keep a pad next to the keyboard to keep up with you all  If you look at the "general" forum 3rd from the top is a list of abbreviations - its "sticky" so its always stays at the top - a real help when you first join! :D

Ashley I know what you mean about having sisters getting pregnant.
my dh has three sister and two of them got pregnant and had babies this year. I think that's why it's a little harder on my dh, he's the oldest and of course we are having all our problems. Both of his sisters had "oops we got pregnant". So of course of all the trying for four years and to have others to get pregnant so easily it's crazy.
mommiesof2 It's crazy we will be having ER and ET the same week and maybe even the same days. I remember when I first talked to the doctor in October. I thought December will be so far away but, look it is almost the middle of November. I am just amazed how time is going by.
I hope this whole board will have a lots of BFP.

I wanted to share of thing, I am a medical assistant and there was a patient yesterday, who found out she was pregnant. She wanted us to recommend a clinic that will do abortions. She didn't want to have the baby. I thought to myself here I am spending thousands of dollars to try to have a child and she will spend a couple of hundreds to destroy
one. Disgusting :!:

Lou: I am devastated for you. I am so sorry for your news, but happy that you are already planning on next FET. We are all here to support you and your beautiful frostie. Hugs to you!

Jenice: I will be thinking of you all day, keep us updated. Good luck on FET.

Olim78 and teachermom: Wishing you both have tons fertilized embies tomorrow. I can't wait to get all the eggs out of me, my stomache looks like watermelon and everyone at work is asking if I'm pregnant.

Me2009: How you feeling hon? I think we are so close we may have ER on the same day. RE had me do BW&US every day for the last 4 days, everyday I would get different # of follicles. They told me I had 10>10mm and 10 smaller ones yesterday, but today only 8>10mm and 1<10mm. Not sure if human error or I'm losing follies. This is my first time with IVF, nothing seems make sense to me. Guess I will find out tomorrow.

Best wishes to all the ladies on the thread.

lou - i am very sorry about your BFN. i hope you & DH are hanging in there. it's great that you are moving to FET so soon, your best embie is probably in the freezer anxiously waiting for you! we'll probably be around the same time for FET... FYI, AF showed up not even one day after i stopped the progesterone after our BFN, so you may need to get ready for it coming earlier than 7-10 days. what i found so hard in the first IVF cycle was not knowing what was coming next and all the emotions that would come with each step, and AF right after BFN was one of those tough one, i did not expect it but it was hard to get such a visible confirmation & reminder of the BFN... so i hope knowing it's coming will help you get ready for it.... and jenice is right, FET is so much easier, BCP & estrace and vitamins, piece of cake after an IVF cycle!

dodo - welcome to the board! you'll find great support and answers to pretty much all your questions here...

katie - thanks for updating the tracker.... i can't believe how much action there is on this board this week, so good luck with all this week's updates!!

teachermom & olim - good luck for ER!!! hope all goes well and plenty of mature eggs!!

jenice - good luck with FET today!!!

franny - you are right, i should just have told them "f you"... i laughed so hard when i read your post! we have not had too many of these nosy questions b/c we have been so open with everyone about IVF, but sunday's distant relatives are clearly not in our inner circle who know what we are going through... from now on i'll use your approach :)

afm - flying home today after a 10-day business trip, can't wait to see DH !! i am on BCP but have been spotting a lot in the last week, my IVF nurse says it's normal but i don't remember spotting that much when i was on BCP before TTC. argh. i start estrace on 11/22 so still quite a ways to go before anything new to report... the long wait to FET may cost me my sanity!

turtle0619- Thanks for thinking of me. The FET went without incident....THANK GOODNESS! I don't feel different at all. We were a bit bummed to learn they had to thaw 4 of our 5 blasts to get 2 to transfer. Especially since they told us their thaw rates are 70-90%. Had I learned this JUST prior to being wheeled into the operating room, I would have requested that they just go ahead and thaw the last one and transfer it...as we are not going to pay for another FET with only one embie left given their real thaw rates. But God willing, it won't be necessary at all!!!!

They told me they were both grade 4CC (1 being bad...6 being text book perfect which he said they never see in the clinic...and A being excellent and F being terrible). So they are good they said...not perfect, not bad. So we were a bit surprised since they told us when they were frozen they were "beautiful". I guess the freeze/thaw is hard on them.

Anywho, watcha gonna do. I'm just going with it. I feel good about things. I'm trying to doing daily mental visualization/meditation to promote positive events! And stare a few times a day at my lovely print out of my embies! ha! Also going for a mani/pedi today! woo hoo...and I turn 39 tomorrow! Geez...lots going on! Pregnancy test is Nov 19th! God bless you all and positive energy for BFP's!!!!!!

julia78 -- I'm actually hoping to get AF soon because the sooner it comes, the sooner my next chance is. I feel a bit crampy, so I hope you're right, that it won't take a week.

jenice -- thanks for sharing your FET protocol and experience. I'm so glad to hear it's that much easier than IVF. Best of luck to you for a BFP!!! Update us soon on how your FET went.

LuLu668 & Cheekyone --Thanks for your support. I do feel good about my one frostie but a little concerned that there's only one.

karenthescorpio -- First of all Happy Birthday! Mine is at the end of the month. Is that usual that they have to thaw more than they plan to transfer? I've only got one frozen... so I have to admit, it concerns me a little. Should I worry? Best of luck to you for a BFP!! The more success stories I hear from FET, the better I feel.

katie99 I do feel special with two places on the tracker! Fingers crossed that 2nd time is a charm for me.

This board is going to have some BFP's very soon. I can feel it.
