Katie: thank you for your support! I am so thankful that your irresponsible nurse leaves you very soon. I had the same experience. This is my 3rd DE clinic. We went to the first clinic which was very close to us and the RE was very famous. We checked the reviews before going to him. He was very helpful in his consultation. When he decided that we should go with DE transfer, he handed us to his RN. I have not seen a RE for 6 years because of hopeless mode. And I didn't ring a bell why the RE didn't give me an U/S from day 1 visit. I was counting on the nurse and they charged us on her 1 hour consultation about DE transfer for $100. We thought it's fine until I found out that she misread my u/s and b/w and cancel my mock cycle. She told me that we're going to use the same protocol of the failed mock cycle in the transfer. But I didn't understand if I's failed in mock cycle, why I had to follow the same protocal. She then told me to do a new mock cycle. I understood there's something wrong but i thought the nurse was kind enough to give me a new mock cycle for compensation. The day when I had the new mock cycle, they told me I had to pay for a new cycle fee which was $985. I'd never heard of people need to do the 2nd mock cycle. I was very confused and didn't know why I didn't need to see the RE anymore. I went back to the reviews of their clinic and found out that RE was too famous and slack off and let nurses in charge of the clinic. The account lady used a threatening tone to tell me that the fee was due immediately or else, I could talk to my RE. But when I told her that DH and I would like to talk to RE, she was frightened like a little girl and told me to take it easy. I was so shock to find out that none of my stuff had ever notified my RE and they're trying to cover up. The nurse then told me that my second mock cycle fee could be waived. The nurse kept denying her problem and she circled around when she answered my questions. Anyway, I decided to go to another RE for mock cycle and completed successfully. My 2nd RE is very responsible and does all the u/s by himself. The only thing is that we cannot find a local donor. I'm moving with my current RE because they have a egg donor program and I found a donor I like there. About my first RE clinic, the RE or the CEO finally read my reviews on their google site and contacted me and initially tried to warn me of doing that. When I emailed the RE/CEO back about my problem, they finally sent me back a mock cycle refund check but never apologize. Recently, I checked back their google site and saw they erase all the bad reviews and leave the best one only.
Thank you for letting me venting! I'd never known in the beginning of this year that I had to deal with all the problem besides of fertility issue.

Firefly Welcome, I joined this board not to long ago, everyone welcomed me right away, it's nice and cozy here. I know what you mean about being secretive my dh hasn't told anyone about our IVF adventure. He's scared if it doesn't work everyone would feel sorry for us. Even though people already do. I only told a few people. The ones who needed to know. None of my co workers knows not even my mom knows.
The only bad thing is me and my dh is our only support system, sometimes it makes you stronger but, at times you really need other support. That's why I joined this forum. I hope the best for you. When someone gets good news it's hope for the rest of us.
Kate99Thank you so much for the updates you took your time to let everyone know what stages everyone are at. thanks

Franny- that’s so funny how the rumor started about you getting chocolate with your meds! We definitely have to find out who’s getting chocolate and make them share! I live on Long Island. Was hoping your visit would be closer by. It would have been so nice to meet up and share a fake drink together. I’m so excited for your start tomorrow! Wishing you the BEST stick and stir! It’s going to be a great Friday the 13th around here! 

Ashley- good luck on your baseline tomorrow. 

Julia- I know 11/22 seems so far away now, but it will be here and you will be in the dreaded 2ww before you know it. 

Cheekyone- I’m not totally sure what co culture is. I’m going to cut and paste what my RE has in his website about it. They do it for any women over the age of 38 or who have had 2 failed cycles. Here goes: The Co Culture of embryos uses cumulus cells that are living, active, dividing cells that filter out bad components while supplying growth factors to the embryo. They also produce hyaluronic acid which helps mature the eggs and is important for embryo development. At retrieval, after aspirating a patient's follicles, we Co Culture her cumulus cells with the fertilized embryo to aid growth and improved implantation. Unlike most culture media that embryos are placed into, Co Culture cells can modify the amount of nutrients they supply based on the individual needs of the embryos.

Karen- happy birthday! You’re halfway through the 2ww! Yeah!!

Honeybunny- I only had 2 embies when I did my first IVF cycle in 2008 and I have my beautiful DD! Don’t give up! Enjoy your “beach vaca” and if you find the 80 degree weather, can you send it down south a little to Long Island?

Syanna- so glad to see you. And yes- I hope we all get what we want for Christmas! 

To have fun- You’re in the 2ww! So exciting- can’t wait to join you tomorrow 

Katie- so happy to hear your incompetent nurse will soon be gone! Vent away my friend- you have every right.

Claud- happy lupron start! Who knew we’d be so happy to stick ourselves!

Bethany- I hope you were able to figure out your meds situation. It must be so frustrating. Sorry.

Malya- so good to see you. I’m wishing you positive thoughts for your appointment next Tuesday.

BrMommy- so sorry to hear about your bfn. I think it’s a great idea that ______ stated- to add your FE to your next fresh cycle, if possible.

Me2009- can’t wait to hear about your ER on Sunday. Good luck!

Tc4474- welcome. Good luck on your lupron start!

Jenice- congrats on being PUPO!! Woo hoo!

Firefly- welcome and can’t wait to hear about your BFP!

Supergenius- that’s wonderful that you have so many follies growing! 

Dodo- we are all in the same IVF boat so please stick around. The support is like no place else 

2010- so happy to hear your follies are growing. Slow and steady wins the race! 

Olim 78- so sorry to hear you were feeling so bad after your ER. Congrats on the awesome fertilization numbers!!

Albany- thanks for the recipe. Can’t wait to try it 

If I left anyone out- please forgive me. You are all in my thoughts and prayers

AFM- ET tomorrow. I have a new found fondness of Friday the 13th. It's going to be a great day around here tomorrow. Good luck to everyone!

ok so a couple of quick  :

BR Mommy- I meant to write in "Karen" for the one who suggested to add the Frosty to the next fresh cycle.

And I totally stole the idea to use Microsoft word to type responses on and paste them into my reply, but of course all the little smiley faces turned into funny looking symbols. sorry

hi ladies, I need some advises. my DH just went to see his ENT doc. He just had a nasal polyps removed surgery done 2 months ago. He went back to find out that the area get swollen and red. His doc prescribed him antibiotic. Now, he told me that he's not going to take the antibiotic until his sperms were taken to the RE's lab next week. But if he's infection, the sperms will get infected too. Right! He told me that he's no infection, but only red and swollen. But ENT doc wouldn't prescribe him antibiotics if it's not infected. If the doc prescribed him today, that means he's infection. Am I right?
My 15 years old shihtzu stayed overnight at the vet. and will have a surgery tomorrow with general anesthetia.
I feel so overwhelming nervous.

Dodo928 Doctor usually don't give patients abx unless they think someone has an infection. Is the area that is red and swollen warm to touch? If so that's a nice sign your dh has an infection. The abx should not hurt his sperm matter, of fact it's better to have abx than his sperm be infected with bacteria. In other word if your dh has an infection he could get a fever from it which could hurt sperm count more the abx.
The best thing to do is ask your RE to be sure, for your piece of mind and dh.

Skylar: thank you for your post! My DH has chronic sinusitis. Only his ENT doc has a very long scope to find out inside his nose is red and swollen. His PCP doesn't have the tool and was unable to look at him in the last visit. He does not have a fever. He told me that normally when he went to see his ENT doc every 3 months, he will get a pack of antibiotics and spray to reduce the swollen sinus area. You are right. If he doesn't have any fever, that means he has no infection. I think we'll just wait until his sperm is taken next week and then antibiotics.

teachermom nanine my dear your day is finally coming!! tomorrow is going to be the day you will be PUPO and on your way to your BFP, and your dreams coming true! i am over the moon happy for you!! good luck and let those lil enbies hold on tight! how many are you putting back? when will you know if you have any to freeze?? know i am thinking of you...of course! :D

me2009 omg that was so funny   you just cracked me up! i can picture you saying to yourself "man this AFM girl has ALOT of stuff going on all at once!! i wish i knew who she was!" hahaha

claud how are you doing with the shots?? getting used to them again?? stims are just around the corner!! hang in there :D

ashley good luck tomorrow! hopefully we will both be starting stims together!! it is sooooo nice to have a stims buddy around...keep me posted!! :D

kerribell did they give you an ER date yet?? how is the stimming going?

lulu did you have your ER today? or tomorrow? if its tomorrow good luck! if it was today how did it go??

cheekyoneGOOD LUCK TOMORROW!!! i'm crossing my fingers for a boatload of embies!!

olim15 embies is crazy awesome!!! woohoo...when is your transfer???

busy day here tomorrow!! i go in super early for my stick and stir (B/W AND U/S) and i'll be going crazy waiting for them to call me with my instructions...ahhhh i remember how that waiting feels....hopefully by tomorrow night i will be stimming!! i have to say although i am very relaxed about the injections this time (last cycle it took me a good 20 minutes to convince my hand to shove a needle into my stomach) i seem to have other worries this time. since i was canceled i now know its not as easy as it looks on that nice little print out with my calender on it. it has me worried with all the what if's that i never even thought of last time. i'm trying to keep up my PMA because its the best way to be, but i'm already scared that they will tell me bad news tomorrow and its only my darn BASECHECK! WTH?? i tried to tell DH i was nervous, and he said "you've gone for a million ultrasounds you'll be fine" and i couldnt find the right words to explain to him my real fears of failure again.
anyway ok...(shaking it off) its going to be fine right?? i think i need some sleep!!
goodnight to all my cycle sisters!
