afm - was supposed to stop BCP next week and start estrogen after AF, but i have been spotting so much i got worried AF would never show and that my RE would be too busy eating turkey next week to tell me what to do next, so I asked to go in for an U/s to check my lining and indeed - there is no lining left, so probably no AF... I’ll start estrogen on 11/28, with or without AF. I am so relireved they could get me in today so we could iron this out… At times I feel like the toughest part of IVF are not the ups & downs, it’s the fact that we go through that rollercoaster in the dark and can’t even see the next turns coming… someone pls turn the light on!

I also had spotting and no AF for long time after the mock cycle. RE finally found out I was low in estrogen and progestrone. He gave me both estrogen and progesterone supplement. I finally had a regular period. Hope the b/w can tell what supplement you need so that it can be fixed.

julia78-good thing you called the doctor to see what was going on!! It seems as though we have to be our own advocates through this and be on their cases!!! Glad to hear you are beginning soon

Ashley-that is a bummer to find that out especially since we get so mentally prepared for these things...but on the bright side, you can drink during the holidays and then be hormone free when you do the ET!

kerribel-it seems that even though you are doing a day 3 and a day 4 transfer that the day 4 transfer is really like a day 3 since it took so long to fertilize...did that make sense??? Glad to hear that you will have a couple to put back in though!!

sarah-ruth-I am going on tomorrow for my day 4 ultrasound and I will let you know my numbers so at least you have something to go off, but if I recall from my last cycle I had I think one at a 10 or 11 and the rest were 8 and below!!

mizzy-welcome to the board. I know that this is a scary time and some women are slow responders to the stims. Have they thought about increasing your dosage? Acupuncture helps with egg quality and lining, but I don't know if it can produce more eggs? 3 is still a good start and hopefully your DR will have more information next u/s. I have heard many stories of numbers jumping higher in just a couple days so hopefully that will be the case for you!

franny-how's the neck feeling? How are your follies doing? any updates?

I went in for acupuncture this morning and she helped with my Lupron headaches and gave me some of the needles to do myself if I keep getting them (I LITERALLY feel like a pin cushion!!!) My DH had the nerve tonight to complain that the Dorex was making him feel achy!!! I was joking with him since he has NO idea what we are putting our bodies through but luckily he spoils me and treats me like a queen through this process (he better or else I would go CRAZY on him!!!) hormone rage

claude662: I don't know yet. I'm waiting for my RE to tell us. I guess it's not up to us. It's up to the RE. Am I right? I really don't know. My last cancelled IVF cycle was in 2002. I am doing whatever the RE told me.

I'm glad the acupuncture helping your headache. I know it's helping pain but i didn't ring a bell when you mentioned it. Glad to feel better!

awww.. i feel for ya! I just got back from an 1.5 massage. He work my PIO butt!! Ive yet to try accupun. but im thinking about it!

ohh im sorry... (didnt mean to make you feel bad )

i would say for your first time, i wouldnt go right before an ER, cause you're more and likely be sore from the massage.

drink plenty of water... this is key!!

do it on a day you have a day or so to recover. and sometimes taking a hot bath before and after helps with the sore

ok im so bad,

i totally went and took a hpt tonight. Its been a week since trigger shot and its only been 3 days since ET. (on wed) I was still pretty darn sore from my ER (that was on sunday) when i went in on wed for the trans.

I know im crazy for taking it. i swear there was a faint line, but my DH says im seeing things

ive had somewhat AF kinda light cramping, but Different kinda of crampy... MY RE told me to up my PIO to 1.5 cc each night.

so im a bit freaked out, as many of us are at many different points...

I so was gonna tell my self that my 2ww was going to be a walk in the park and i would be just fine! NOT...

Is anybody else also taking the Estrace 2mg tabs up the "v-jj" twice a day as well ?? Im also doing the PIO ( Fun times)

Ok ladies, off to bed for me, got yet another blood draw in the am. this time its to check my heparin/ blood clotting factors. Im also on heparin injections 2 times a day!!

so i just got back from my US/BW and the ultrasound tech said she saw 4 follies all at 10mm. she didnt say anything thing else...like if there were smaller ones or not so i have no idea. i'm on day 6 of stims. now i'm worried that 4 isnt enough....i'm praying that i have some other ones hiding and they will pop up, but i'm very nervous about getting the phone call from my RE later today...please please please dont cancel me!!!!!!

Did anyone cave and POAS? I did.. today is 8dp3dt and I'm still getting a BFN...... I still have hope though...lots of people say it's still way too early.

I am a bit worried because I had day 6 blood and they called me back saying my progesterone was a bit low...it was 9. So they added a 1ML PIO to my 3x/day Endometrin suppositories.

When I was around day 6 of stimms I only had like 3 follicles that measured >10... I was so worried that I wouldn't have enough, but my dr raised my dose of Menopur and my other small follies started growing and catching up.. at ER I had 8 eggs and 5 were mature.

**this is what happens in a 3dt :

1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing
2dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt.. Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt.. Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
8dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on
HPT
So, as you can see, HCG does not begin to secret into the blood until 8dp3dt
Also, I think I asked you before (but you didn't respond ) if they scheduled your test toooooo late? I had my 3dt on Friday (yesterday) and they are doing the test 12/1.
I suggest using the Dollar Store brand - I believe they are sensitive at 20iu (which is the lowest commercially available detection).

Hi all- I'm still in I did a poas this am, couldn't bring myself to read it told DH he could do it. It says I'm "PREGNANT". I made him show me and just kept staring @ the word like it might change. I told DH if I read it it would hae been "-". It is still very early and I'm not going to tell everyone till after the beta and will probably buy every test known to man and POAS over and over again till I run out of pee

I just wanted everyone to know miracles do happen. This was a FET cycle I transferred one 2- cell and one 4-cell embryo, that was all I had left from my previous fresh cycle. They both thawed and started to divide well. I figured they had to be pretty strong embies to do that. But was very skeptical about this cycle. If anyone read my older posts well.... I guess " I'M GOING TO HAVE TO KISS A HORSES ASS NOW." Thanks for everyones encouragement during one of the most stressful, emotional draining, physically painful experiences of my life but if I have a baby out of all of this, it was worth it!!!!!!!!

Congrats Jenice. When is your beta? I'm glad to hear such a good outcome from what you thought were not good odds. Were your embryos 2-cell and 4-cell when they were transferred or is that what they were when they were frozen? Oh, and by the way, neigh...neigh!
